Phoenix Hawk, Stinger and Wasp are all based off of Veritechs. Battloid mode, right, and then the gerwalk mode - which happens to look almost the same as airmech mode.

I'm really having some trouble with this game. I cannot get through an entire mission without the game crashing. I'm using DOSbox 0.63. There is not any cause listed, just a black screen. Can anyone provide some insight?

Ok I got a newer version of win rar and it unzipped fine, but whenever i try to open any of the exe files it says im missing the pif file

Just read the text under the review before spamming the forum :

"TECHNICAL NOTES:
Mechwarrior 1 does not function under Dos Box v0.63. It works properly under v.0.61 as far as I know, though."

To get this game to work under DosBox .63 change the line that says

to

it is in the midi configuration block.

This fixes the problem where the game locks up on completing the first mission.

i'm not using dos box i'm using vdm sound. dos box won't run on my crappy 666 megahert bed room computer

it turns out i had the file buried to deep for vdms to work. i moved it into the root folder and it works fine now :Brain:

Is this the one with "Team Banzai" in it? I might just play it for THAT sole reason then... :D
