Most likely you'd die. People are actually working inside the sarcofagus now, trying to strengthen the superstructure. According to the documentary I saw about it, all the people working there now will die in a year or two. They tried to film inside the sarcofagus but it was difficult to make out anything because, due to the radiation, the film was filled with white specks... terrifying.

There are even still some people living inside the elegantly-named "Dead Zone"
