First of all if you noticed the weapons were very good placed and almost no kick to the kids. Also, in a country that almost anyone can have a weapon, it is better to at least educate the kids instead of leaving them clueless.

How about instead of teaching 6 year olds how to blow up vehicles, they actually put some restrictions on their firearms? Oh, right, that would probably result in another civil war. The South would go ballistic.

I'd actually prefer that children would be taught about why guns are a bad thing, rather than a source of amusement. Either that, or train them up in their childhood for National Service. You can't really go two ways about it.

Also, how likely is it that an average US household would have gun emplacements scattered around? Hmm... I don't think it'd be that many. Possibly teaching them non-lethal self-defence would be a better idea.

Oh and banning guns. Also chainsaws, they're totally unnecessary. Use a bow-saw like a real bunch of people. Or a mattock, which a great tool.

Gun culture?
There's no such thing Havell, despite what you think, "rednecks" -for loss of a better word- are a very small part of the south, and the reason there's such a push against guns in the south is because a large part of related crimes take place there, there are no "rednecks" running around giving their little kids weapons, there isn't any such thing.

Hypocrites? What are you talking about? The USA is the only place in the developed world in which guns are easily available and used frequently.

Also, obnoxious Frenchmen and funny voiced Chinese went out of most of the world's culture long, long ago. Especially from the British psyche, which is what you were inferring.
