Flamegod, there is no vga version. :mhh:
Unless you mean the freeware remake, which can be found here. :OK:

VGA version of QfG2 can be downloaded at AGD Interactive's website: AGD Interactive

Panthro, I just linked to that in the post above yours. :suspicious:

Yeah, I know.

I hadn't seen your reply when I replied. I opened a bunch of threads and read through them, and got to this one late on, hence the gap between your post and mine.

Sorry for the confusion!

From the VGA version of the first part you can import your character to the second, right?

And just out of curiosity: any hope for the 5th part?

I have the 5th part but I do not recommend it. It is like letting Walt Disney finish an opera from Shakespeare.

Yes you can import from the VGA version to the second.

The 5th part is decent. The main negative is the combat. And I'm not a fan of overland maps in the QfG games. Otherwise, it's decent and a good end to the series. If the combat were better, it would be excellent. Instead, it's just a click-fest kind of like Diablo from what I remember, and often times you're stuck fighting when the camera is zoomed out too far to really see what's going on.

Personally, I hated what little of the fifth one I've played. Nothing about it seemed good to me, but I never really got into the story.

The one thing in particular that annoyed me was the continuous call-backs to the previous games, and the inclusion of loads of previous characters. It felt awkward and wrong to me.

As I say though, I never gave it a completely fair shot, so I wouldn't tell you not to play it.

I started playing this for good, with a thief (as for only that you can have all stats), and although on the second day I already maxed throwing, I realised I'd need LOTS of money.
And ok, I have 93 lockpick, but it seems I cann ot rise it any further by the "basic" method (up to 60+ you get by picking the healer's house, up to 90+ by picking your nose).

Also the fighting seems a little odd to me.

Not to mention everythng is bloody expensive. How could I get FAST money? Even fighting seems not the best way, as the goblin I managed to kill only dropped 7 silver, and that's not too much.
I'd need money to buy magic-potions to make myself be able to buy magic spells.

At least my stealth skill should max itself soon, as I start getting bored by sneaking before everyone's nose!

The game is good, but absolutely no time to play it.:whops:
