I haven't got the original Diablo 1 , but the expansion pack Hellfire.(Not made or supported, just licensed by Blizzard)
But if anyone can tell me how to run Diablo 1 mulltiplayer, i can help them out ^^(got lvl 24 sorcerror, lvl 18 rogue, lvl 27 warrior)

Hellfire does not have Multiplayer option (officially). You can do some tricks (create a special file), but it works only for LAN - no battle.net ever.

I know, but there is a sweet mod for it that supports Hamachi. ^^

btw - I'm not into modding ... never liked that idea

It's a program that emulates LAN. Very simple to use. And mod is simply a 2 file download which you copy in the game folder, and start it's .exe, so IQ lvl 10+ is enough :D

hehe, i'd love to play some d1 w/ you guys - i haven't played that one in forever. (i have it installed, but never got around to playing it again) It'd be great to play hellfire multiplayer as well - if you guys know how to get it to work, and fill me in, i'll install it as well. (it's been so long since i played hellfire, i can barely remember all the stuff it includes!)

and yeah, since d2 is simply a re-hashed version of d1 (only differences are higher resolution and more items / characters) the system reqs for d2 are so similar to d1 that almost no one plays it. that was always one of my biggest complaints about d2 - i really wish bliz had taken the time to update the engine a bit more - the graphics and interface were dated when it was released. Not to mention that d1 was the first battle.net game released by bliz, so it's about as basic as you can get. although you gotta love the "spawn" install option - how cool was that? too bad companies don't offer things like that anymore! (only game i can think of that does that still is sins of a solar empire - and that's not a spawn install, it just doesn't require the cd to play - no copy protection = easy to share w/ friends and get them to buy!)

Hey Ultima, there's a mod for Hellfire called The Hell(www.thehell.narod.ru) that aloows multiplayer with the use of Hamachi.
And they also translated it too my language ^^

wow, that's great! thanks for that link, it really does look interesting. now i just gotta dig up my hellfire cd (haven't used it in forever, since hellfire isn't battle.net compatable).

once i get all this working, i'd be more than willing to dive into some dungeons with y'all!
