I have in windows versions .72 and .63 and if its over 8 characters you have to use ~N where N is its number. Which is how dos does it. XP's dos emulator allows you to type out the entire file name.

Stuck

I have Star Legions installed under DosBox and the game freezes as soon as it gets to the "Bridge" scene, immediately after I select my profile. No mouse cursor is visible.

How do I fix this? Thanks!

Have the same problem, how did you fix it ... or didn't you?

For the freeze (hang) problem running Star Legions in DOSBox, try increasing cycles from the default 3000 to 5000 or more.

I tried this and seem to still have the same problem. Any other ideas?

AHA! I figured it out! The v 1.02 patch fixes it! I was lucky enough to find it on a Russian-language site. Perhaps I can contribute the updated version somehow to the Abandonia archives?

The Fifth Horseman 31-01-2013 11:31 AM

Certainly. :)

Did no one ever upload the v1.02 patch? If not, would someone please do? I really really need it, and I would be ever so grateful!

Pangolin9999 01-10-2013 02:58 AM

I did try to submit the v1.02 patch some time ago but never got confirmation. I probably did something wrong.
