You got it FPJ!!!
The score so far: Playbahnosh - 3next a1s - 3 Fruit Pie Jones - 1 Oh and a1s - you were right velikan=giant. And the next question: Which head of state was killed, and then the body was publically burned? |
well, Shi Zhi was killed, and his head was publicaly burned, does that count?
but you probably meant Gaius Julius Caesar, right? |
No please, Fruity, tell us how you found that!
|
Neither...
The whole body was burned - and it happened on the 20th century. |
My first (wrong) guess was Adolf Hitler - but I doubt he was burned in public!

Pol Pot? I read that his body was burned out in the country in the presence of a few dozen people. Does that count? <!--QuoteBegin-Master MC No please, Fruity, tell us how you found that![/quote] It was a long and tortuous path of Google searches leading past such figures as David Ben-Gurion, Yitzhak Rabin, Anwar Sadat, and others. I stumbled on a picture of Gamal Nasser purely by accident and thought the guy on the left looked a bit like him (although he had a goofy mustache in the picture I found). An image search for pictures of him led to one with him and Nehru, who looked astonishingly like the guy in the middle. (The jacket, of course, helped a lot!) Another image search for both of them at the same time gave me a lot of stuff...including the photo Seb posted. It still took some work to get Tito's name, though, as the photo wasn't captioned. Thanks for giving me something to do this morning, Seb! |

Anyway - no, it's not Pol Pot. This burning was public. A huge crowd (hundrets, thousands) have gathered and it was broadcasted over the TV. I remember watching it as a child. |
And we're talking 'bout cremation, right?
Well he's not American! :bleh: Quote:
|
Nope, not American...
You're the first to start thinking in the right direction though: Quote:
