@a1s: could you be a bit more specific?

Although Ghandi would be perfectly correct - I'm still not satisfied. There was more then one head of state with the name Ghandi (so which one was it). And BTW the one I had in mind really got shot in the 80s - I watched it live (although because there was more then one such occasion I'll except both answers).

woah! there where 2 Gandhis? :w00t:
anyways I meant the famous one that invented the nonviolence doctrine which he used to get independence ofr india and thirty years later MLK used to get rights for the black people of USA. in short THE Ghandi (even i that answer isn't right).

I deliberatly made the question uncertain enough - to help you out a bit, the head of state was a woman!!!

That's why I couldn't make it more precise - as I'd be giving the information away (too soon).

So to review the clues again:
1) Got killed the body was burned.
2) The buring was a part of the burial ritual - and was done publically.
3) It was all broadcasted on TV in the eighties.
4) We're talikng about a Ghandi.
5) The person in question was a woman!

Indira Gandhi's body was burned? Didn't know that.

@a1s: You're thinking of Mahatma Gandhi, of "What do you think of western civilisation?" "I think it would be a good idea." fame.

Sebatianos 23-04-2006 03:20 PM

Here we go again (something easy this time)!

Which was the first man made object that was higher then the Great Pyramid of Kufu (Keops) in Gizah?

Tulac 23-04-2006 03:27 PM

Chrysler Building?

EDIT: Renamed tower to building, it was built before Empire State, so it excludes it...

Sebatianos 23-04-2006 03:33 PM

Nope. They are both higher - but were made quite some time after the first structure that was higher then the great pyramid.

Tulac 23-04-2006 03:40 PM

Cologne Cathedral!

Sebatianos 23-04-2006 03:51 PM

Neven... In this quizz you need to provide the answers - not post 60 questions. Whichone is your answer?
