That doesn't work in 1.11, the Necro just gets his behind kicked anyway.

Oh really? I can claim something different though. It works perfectly for me, and it's the others who get their behind kicked anyway ;)

No, I saw a Necro walking around with around 20 revives, he said he had all of their supporting skills maxed out.

Out runs a Barb with a maul and the Necro teles away, but the Barb just leaps over to where he is, stuns him, and then beats him to death.
Every Barb has one point in Leap Attack, there is no escape.

Scatty 12-09-2006 07:36 AM

No escape from Leap? Nonsense, while barb flies with this Leap one can go to the side everytime or even teleport away. Barbars who don't have Enigma and can't teleport have no chance against teleporting or fast running chars that attack from distance.
I always gather 18 revives in Act 4 River of Flame, and they're mostly large-figured, and all attacks except Bone Spear and maybe Lightning Sentry trap (though these may not hit also) don't hit me yet but the revives. It always worked for me yet so far.

Blood-Pigggy 12-09-2006 10:52 AM

Nonsense, as long as you keep Leap Attacking you're bound to connect a hit, then he's dead meat, and since nothing can hit you in mid air, it's just a matter of patience.

Well, if you ever want to see me proving you wrong, just come to Europe gateway with a good barb (which I assume you don't have there) and you'll see your claims shatter to dust.

Yeah Troop, you think that until an IK barb runs in and destroys you before you even get to cast bone spirit.

Utter sh1t-talk, BP. All barbs die when boing pounded by B Spirit. Ne Necro and Sorceress have the best attacks ever made. The Necro has his heat-seeker Spirit and the Sorc (Cold) with the crystal-nova or smth, along with (Lighting) lightning cast infront of her with no way of getting around her. The leap sucks, chance you can get hit are 0 to NONE. The leap isn't a fast move, takes max 3-4 secs. So by that time I run away 10 yards and have cast 300 BSpirits, which when a barb is landing will be pounding his sorry a55 to oblivion.

BTW, there is the nice trick of going out of town first and casting when they are about to enter. I never duel tele-pathetics, just not fair if I don't do that myself. BTW2, I"M NOT A PVP - why do you think I'd go into a duel with a barb?

Blood-Pigggy 12-09-2006 07:54 PM

Your bonespear won't do much against and IK barb, they just have too much health, (a good one usually has more than 7k health) and not only that, but their magic resistance is like nuts from the set itself :(

Scatty 12-09-2006 09:27 PM

I tell you, a well-equipped barb with runeword weapons like Oath or Breath of the Dying, good armor like Enigma or even just the old good Arcaine's Valor and the rest of suitable unique items beats the IK barb by miles. While the IK barb barely kills something in baalruns and watches others score the kills, my frenzy barb with Grief in phaseblade (which is by far the best melee weapon anyway due to it's bugged damage) and Lawbringer also in phaseblade kills anything in few hits. And his warcries level is quite higher than best IK barb could ever reach. Same with the other WW barb who uses similar equip and always beats IK barbs in duels.
The Immortal King set is by no means bad, but it's far from optimum for a barbar. It's for those who can't afford better equip, or for those who don't have much idea of a barbar (one just need to think on these many IK barbs in baalruns that don't know what "bo" means <_<).

You guys might want to hear this interesting tidbit.

The Countess in Diablo 2 was based upon Elizabeth Bathory, who was completely insane and quite similair to the Countess (time for a blood bath?) as you can read in this article. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elizabeth_Bathory

Wow, what a story. It certainly makes sense with the Countess in Diablo 2 then.
