that's a contardiction:
either it's dead- and then there is no point closing it,
or it should be closed beacuse of spam/inaproprianess/whatever else theread get closed for and the it's quite UNdead.

as for my personal opinion- we should close it, to encourage a fresh start for the people who keep disturbing this not-quite-dead-yet thread.
