I see you must have been quite young when you used your first RUBBER :sneaky: Anyway - could it be Baggitman???
|
hahah. but you see i was one of the lucky ones, i had the zx48+1 the ferrari of the zx world and it had *dum dum daaa dum* hard plastic keys! yay me.
wait 10 minutes for a tape to load then knock it to much and it reset. so keyboard games used to involve me very gingerly tapping the keys. didnt used to even dare breathe on the thing once a game had loaded. no one has it yet. im trying to think of a hint that wont bring the anser if you type it into google. btw there seems to be an attitude that its a platformer because i said *its a total classic for its platform* LOL i meant as in deployment platform, as in machine it was made for. its not a platformer. |
awwww, my answers have been wrong, I have no idea what the game is, AND my cheese sandwich burned on one side  what a day!
|
The rubbery keyed ones were more fun - but the best bit was spending half an hour tweaking the knobs on the tape player only to load something which turned out to be awful. Those were the days.

when i first got a speccy emulator i set the loading speed onto real time and sat there watching the lines scroll on the side of the screen and listining to the insane loading noise they used to make. oh the nostalgia!
now of course i load em in a second. but the first time i let it take the time. |
If you played it on a Spectrum, then that makes all the difference.
It has to be Star Wars Part 10: The Prequal To The Latest Prequal. Obviously!!! :bleh: :D |
Games on TAPES?!!
WOW! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...c265/Halo2.png Only game I ever saw on tape was pong when my cousin bought some tape 'console' from a car boot sale. |
hahaha. that is wicked! its going on my desktop!!
well i have lots of obscure games for the spectrum but this one is quite well knowen which is why i posted it. i would have put up a dizzy game but that would have been guessed in 2 seconds. not a single games magazine for the time gave it under 90 percent. its avarage score was about 92 percent i reckon. time for another hint, this should jog some memorys maybe. the picture is of the map of the lift system. |
