It appears that somebody else was having the exact same problem I am right now. I have no idea what the error message means, nor do I know how it might be fixed. I looked at that Pentagram site but it was of no help. Any ideas?

Tried DOSbox in my Win98SE system. 750Mhz, 128MB RAM. Pagan runs, but way too slowly. Processor usage goes up the roof, so I can't increase cycle rates for positive results. Open to more suggestions...

People expiriencing problems with U8 should wait some time for a better release of Pentagram. I think in a few weeks it will be playable.

750 Mhz are way too little for DosBox. Actually at least Pentium 3 with 1 Ghz is needed for it, with 2 Ggz the emulation of Dosbox would reach acceptable speed then. More - better.

For all of you who have been frustrated with trying to run Ultima 8 with DOSbox, I have some news

I cant seam to instal Ultima 8. It says in beggining that I dont have enough memory for such a game (huh i have 128 mb ram that is more then enough for this kind of game) then i got to instal press instal and nothing happens nothing gets instaled :(

I haven't played this game, but usually when old games refer to lack of memory they mean conventional DOS memory or ems. What OS are you using? Win 98? Win XP?

I have win xp. But I cant install the game either :(

You don't need to install it, it's in the installed state already. Just move it to some folder and start the game. And you should play it under DosBox, under Windows XP it won't run at all.

I have tryed to make DosBox it starts and all and I have mounted it and it is Z patrition??? How do I strt the game in it?
