If age is just a number, how come older people both look different, and are physically unhealthier?

I'm just trying to make a point: The ''age is just a number''-thing doesn't make sense. Because it's far from the truth. While one can indeed be young in mind, that doesn't make age ''just a number''. And besides, it's only natural to age, and should never be something to be ashamed of. No point in trying to somehow hide it with silly sayings.

Age is just a number in that time is simply a construct of the human mind. While it may appear to be directly related to the operation of everything, it simply appears that way because we correlate it to do so. :)

Besides, I wasn't really aiming at middle-aged people. There are plenty of healthy people around your age. As healthy as average people around the age of 20, though? No, not really.
