You don't really need to play the first one, I managed just fine without it.

Hmmm...maybe....yes...i met my first opps and killed all of them except attack of 4 opps one after one.
My pistol was loaded with 10 bullets and killing every opp with 3 bullets i had only 1 left for the last one.
Really i had solid wrench but have no time to change weapon or run away.
Anyway i have no experience as in W 6 + 7.

Wow, the sound effects are scary and all atmosphere also....

It's a survival game, DON'T waste your ammo. Your wrench doesn't need any skills and it's a perfect tool to dispense of hybrids and co. Use bullets to take down cameras.

I said that the story and the game (which relies a lot on its story) would be much more interesting if you had been involved in the story of the first one, not that having played the latter is necessary for any reason. The story connection between SS1 and 2 is far stronger than with any of those other other examples. The interfaces, I don't think they're similar in both games, at all.

How to keep bullets?
I have 2 pistols - one ready with 12 bullets and second with 6 bullets.
They attacked me by pair one after one; last time i killed 3 pairs but 4-th killed me because of empty pistol.
i tried another way... to be kill .. some hidden machine gun killed me.
