then run , go, menu etc. whatever runs the game

type dir/p to see all the files in the folder you mounted.

Hello,
I have a question: I am able to run Ultima 8 with dosbox and d-fend on my system (after a lot of changing settings) but for some reason when I walk into the town some walls of the houses are black instead of normally textured and also most houses are almost completely empty inside (no tables, books etc). I also think not all characters are in the game. (Also almost no enemies) Explosions from fire mushrooms look black also.
Does anybody know what my problem is?
Some kind of wrong setting in dosbox/d-fend?
Maybe someone can give the settings he uses.
Btw I use the version of ultima 8 that i downloaded from this site so I think I have all the data of the game.

Ok, I have tested Pentagram now and this seems to solve the problem of dissappeared objects. Only now I don't have sound only midi music :-(

I'm having this problem using Pentagram. First of all, DosBox didn't work for me cuz it was just so slow... even if I gave it more processor... So, I tried pentagram but I have two basic problems: There is no sound, altough there is music... and I don't want to see the pentagram console above the game... I just want to play it like old times :P Any help?

I forgot about something else.... I can't enter any of options choices (video, audio...) it simply doesn't let me.

Files=40 You must set your files=40 in your CONFIG.SYS.
Help would be greatly appreciated.
