This is one of my favorite games of all time. Perfect strategy game.

Yes, with the original mac files i bought in 1990.
I hope there will be a classic on Intel Mac or in 10.5

How do you get the game to have color? It's hard to play without the color on the map to tell who owns what.

Finally, especially if you are alredy using DOSBox, be sure to launch the executable 'KOEI' instead of the other 3.

If all of this isn't helpfull, try to be more specific (like sistem in use, what do you do to run the game and so on) :)

I have been playing in the game with dos box no problem, but then when I go to war I can't do anything but move the first hero around. It won't let me place him. I tried every key on the keyboard. HELP PLEASE!!!

The 0 key(0/ins) on the keypad allows you to place the hero. The other keys on the keypad moves the heros in battle. If you are on a laptop like I am, enable number lock and then use the fn + key to simulate the 10-key needed to play the game.

I can't get Bandit Kings to run.
I have installed DOSBox, as per instructions
I followed the game mount instructiins provided by Abandonia.
I folloed tips posted by others on this board.

When I get to
C:\>CD Bandit

it asks for the .EXE I type KOEI.EXE

DOSBox shows

C:\BANDIT>

What do I need to do next?

When you're in
C:\Bandit>
input dir /w and look up what you get.

C:\BANDIT>dir /w

[.] [..] [BANDIT] KOEI.EXE MAIN
2 File(s) 0 Bytes.
3 Dir(s) 262,111,744 Bytes free.

Something is obviously wrong there. You have 2 files (0 bytes??) and another [BANDIT] directory there. You could try C:\BANDIT\BANDIT> and see what you have there. But I suggest you re-download the game and use some proper file archiver (Winzip, Winrar) for extracting the files.
