Okay, maybe the quote you pulled was a bit of an ambiguous statement...

I will find some [dinosaurs] or draw some new ones (I've still got a load of dino books from when I was a kid and there're thousands of images on google) and, if they're old, recycled ones, remove the captions if they're in any way offensive (which, because ascii is so rubbish, most of them are - otherwise there wouldn't be any appeal, really, would there?).

I'm adding the spoiler tags, so there won't be any problems with that anymore.
As I said earlier - if you're going to delete anything, will you please let me know first? As a few of the bits here are new and I haven't saved them anywhere else yet.
AOL Homogrounds disappeared and I didn't realise until the other day and a lot of the old places are dead and gone.

I've got a lot of my old stuff on floppy, but I don't have a floppy drive!
I'll start copying and saving the stuff here to the other places I frequent that aren't as busy or have as young an audience as here.

hmmm... I don't really want to use the art forum for discussion, but I do think that there is something about finding things funny in private and public pooh-poohing.

I reckon that unless art (if you can call this art... I don't) provokes some kind of reaction, then it's not doing its job.
Art should titillate and shock and please and give joy all at once.
I've always believed that, because ascii & ansii is quite a limited medium, such drawings need to have some kind of cartoon-like aspect.
Such as captions, low-rez content, lame humour, etc...

If I wanted to get offended at stuff, I'd start harping on about how I find smileys of Hitler offensive because I'm from Romany stock.
But, I don't. Because I'm not offended enough to say anything and if people want to announce their presence by shouting "JEW!", poking fun at the extermination of millions of people (any you know my feelings on certain issues surrounding things like that because of what I have experienced, seen and done through my wasted life) or find the discrimination of other people, purely because of the fluke that they were born in a certain way - to use but one pertinent example - amusing, that's up to them.

On the rare occasion that I feel that I'm starting to get offended by something - I just don't engage.
No-one is forcing me to read, view or accept anyone else's opinions or whatever.

Maybe I'm wrong..?
