I have problem where the sound doesnt work.. the other thing. I started playing a amiga version and it came up with a thing where you had to put in a word from one of the original manuals. do you have to do this on the PC version??

Question

How to quell thirst in this game? I can't find a way, except wasting money on expensive wiskey?

Nice one this is.
It's pretty complex game for something from 1989, IMHO.
It takes some time to catch up with game mechanics and then the real fun starts.

I also tried 3D remake, it's a piece of shIt.

Very good game, i was playing it as a kid but i never found the mine with the lost dutchman. Is it true that it changes everytime you start a new game? It needs a lot of searching and i guess i'll have to find some time to finish it after so many years. I remember myself playing the game sometimes just for the poker section.

Whiskey is close... the answer also starts with 'w'.

Seriously though, the store sells flasks which you can fill at a river.

...I think. Haven't played this in a while. I remember getting bitten by snakes and shot by indians a lot as a kid. Surprisingly the game felt a bit easier when I revisited it this millenium.

Note that Hall of Light has the manual. While the loading instructions are for Amiga, the game rules & background info are the same for all ports of this game.
