I want to know this too since last time I downloaded FireFox I lost all my search engines that I had downloaded. Thanks!

JJXB 29-10-2006 11:19 AM

browsing this exact page with it right now. i haven't had any trouble except with the fact the tabbrowser extensions hasn't been updated yet. otherwise, its ok. i'd say it was worth it for me but still don't be hasty

I just got Firefox 2. Everything works good, it imported all of my bookmarks, settings and search engines. I'd recommend you to get it. In case you're worried that some extensions might not work, get FF2 and install Nightly Tester Tools. ;)

thats the extension i'm using to get tabbroswer extensions working on it. i always get a little error popup as a result when starting firefox but that's forgivable

Hey. :omg2: Whats with the system requirements?! :omg2:

Reccomended 128 MB ram????!!!!!

This would suck up my recourses big time.

A browser reccomending 128 ram????

That`s all of the ram I have  What will happen if I try to run a broswer and something else? A "Slow Poke Rodrigez" situation?

<_<

P.S. This is Slow Poke Rodrigez - The slowest mouse in all Mexico...

What you really want is www.ie7.com, a real man's browser. :kosta:

Eagle of Fire 29-10-2006 10:53 PM

... or you could do like me, and stick with your old version of FireFox. The version I have currently have everything I'll ever need in a browser, why would I even want to switch in the first place?

nice one velik. i saw ie7 being used on another computer and it looked like absolute crap
> EOF - FF2.0 isn't so bad but it's your choice to upgrade or not. i like it personally but others might not so i'd say try it if you want to find out.

i have various users on current firefox. i wonder if that would be imported sucessfully too. as i recall the previosu time i had quite a trouble moving them form netscape to firefox.

Cockroach 30-10-2006 07:22 AM

Opera is yer daddy.

Icewolf 30-10-2006 07:30 AM

Uhhh, geeze ppl!!!! :tai:

Just get any browser but the IE and you'll be fine! I use FF 2 and it's fine! The appearance and icons are a bit more shiny that the first thing you'll notice.

So for surfin' people it won't change too much.
It becomes serious when you're doing HTML or CSS programming.
But since everyone thinks of himself being t3h h4XX0r it has to be discussed... <_<

Tulac 30-10-2006 10:33 AM

It seems to me it's not worth the transition, I don't really care for new shiny buttons, that eats up my system resources.

JJXB 30-10-2006 11:05 AM

doesn't eat up too much system resources for me
ok it lags if i'm using msn, a game and shareaza in bg with it but otherwise it's fine (i'm listening to bloc party in winamp 5.31 at this moment and it's acting fine)

Eagle of Fire 30-10-2006 05:55 PM

Another reason why I would not switch...

Like anything, I'll at the very least wait for the first few patches or updates to roll in before even considering using it...

I'm not touching it. Not even with an 80 foot browser pole. I agree with EoF, it sounds like they got quite a few bugs to iron out yet, and why would I bother anyway? I'm happy with firefox 1.5, and what are the major differences going to be apart from a few shiny new tabs and buttons? Note to Cockroach : Opera sucks.

Repent you sinner! Opera is the best browser out there! :titan:

If you're going to write something sucks, at least write why it sucks, otherwise you're just flaming.

Icewolf 01-11-2006 07:41 AM

I can't believe you're all still posting... <_< :tai:

Mighty Midget 01-11-2006 07:45 AM

As for me, I think I'll stick with my current one. Thanks.
