:ok:

This game was brilliant when I played it on C64 many years ago. I had also copy for Amiga. There is windows xp version of this game.

I love RD2, but it is best played on the older machines with a classic Zip Stick joystick (you know the ones, a square with a knob on the top).

I disagree. If I remember correctly, the ultimate Amiga stick was Tac II. I might remember the name wrong but something like that. And RD2 is great ;)

How do you kill the fat guy in the last scene of rick dangerous 2... i keep avoiding his blasts but find no way to take him down?

Caraxo 26-04-2005 12:38 PM

Roll bombs under the Fat Guy's vehicle so that they explode when it is neer the floor. It's a matter of timing. You can also shoot at it, but it has no real effect (maybe only in combination with the bomb strategy).

If I run any of ziped files nothing happens. I just have a notice like that can not be run under dos or windows. :help: :help: :help: :help: :help:

BeefontheBone 17-05-2005 07:52 AM

Change the graphics to EGA/VGA and the colours are as good as on Amiga. The only thing that is much worse is the sound and it doesn't matter if Adlib or Soundblaster. Does anybody have a tip for it?

Flop 19-05-2005 10:33 AM

Run the file sound.com before running the game, and it should work.

very funny game and nicely made.especialy the last episode.
but to have to crouch and press 2 keys just to fire a gun? :not_ok: that isn't OK.

Guest_Deckard 23-11-2005 08:36 AM

The easiest way to play this awesome game is to play it on the net:

http://www.rickdangerous.info/

That being said, can anybody help me with the game? On second level, there is this diamond I need to pick up, but when I do, two fireballs kill me. What to do? What to do?

Thanks.

on that screen if you make the 3 guys come up the opposite ladder on the right and when they are at the top with you jump on the diamond and dont jump this will then kill the guys and leave you free to continue to the next screen.

I also have a problem i to am stuck on the second level but a bit further on. Its where you shoot the wall on the right to get the block to carry you over to the right hand side then you go past 3 mummy coffins and then the screen after where a mummy comes out and you have to drop down but i keep getting spiked and i have dropped bombs and shot everywhere! please help. its doing my head in as playing it on the net and keep having to start back at beginning! :ranting:

cool game. i remember playing it with a good colleague of mine throughout an entire night.. of course we had to use the cheat because imho this game is impossible to beat without. cool game! ohh.. the old days...

Excelente juego.

In English: Excellent game. Very good graphs, thematic and music. In this case, it is far better the sequel that the original one. The only thing that it would need is the possibility "of saving", since it is very difficult to pass the 4 levels consecutive and to arrive at 5° with the sufficient lives.

What year is this game?

Good suggestion, r.u.s.s. but I just checked and all the files are read/write... I wonder whether I am not missing a file. Currently, I have RICK.COM ; RICK.EGA ; RICK.CGA and RICK.TND. Is there another file needed ?

Hi, Agrios! Could you tell me if, when running on your Amstrad PC, the high score table of Rick Dangerous I gets saved when you exit the game, or does it always start off with a "standard" high score table?

_r.u.s.s. 03-09-2007 09:03 PM

dont expect an answer from him :D

It might well be that the high score was never intended to be saved. But it does seem rather odd  ... I will try it out on another computer tomorrow...

This guy managed to disassembly and convert Rick 1 to modern systems. It has the added advantage that the cursor keys are now used: http://www.bigorno.net/xrick/
