Well, I think it's time for me to show some of my old pics, to see what you guys think about them. Hope I don't have to resize them or anything.
http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/6623/pilify9.th.jpg This one is a portrait of a rag turtle I still have somewhere in my house. http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/5...ociotd3.th.jpg Here is a pic of a Capadocian vampire, I think from the manual of Vampire: The Masquerade http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/4...monacb6.th.jpg And lastly, a sketch from King Quest V book of hints. It is a version of the witch's house, if I remember correctly. If you enjoy them, I'll try to upload some of the bigger ones. |
Wow - a house on a hand. Very cool, Tito. I like all your sketches. Great work. I thought the turtle had a lot of charm...like the angle you used. Showed how vunerable and fragile he is/was.
|
Well, she is quite fragile indeed. She's full of sand and designed to be squized, and with time has lost a bit of weigth and looks kind of thin. Anyway, thanks for the comment, Wendy. I´m glad you liked them.
As it seems that the pics are displaying correctly, lets try with a bigger one: http://img486.imageshack.us/img486/5...agayvg0.th.jpg This one is a character from Toonstruck, that game that featured Christopher Lloyd in an animated world. Never played it, though. |
I like your drawings! Keep on posting!
And I never played Toonstruck too... |
Thanks for the comment, Quinto. It's a pity that almost all of the pictures I've already got scanned are taken from notebooks. They all look so dirty, and need a high quality to display correctly. I guess that if I keep on posting, sooner or later I'll have to use ImageShack or some similar page (and I don't want to <_< ).
Anyway, here is a portrait of Dennise Richards I made some time ago: http://img95.imageshack.us/img95/9661/dennisesg0.th.jpg Hope you like it. |
Wow - that's really good. She's lovely. Nice sense of form and proportion.
Looks like you're having my prob. with the picture resizing when it has downloaded. Details and clarity go out the window then. I might try some image hosting to get around it. Looking forward to seeing more :) Edit: Found a way to stop the resizing: In IE, click on Tools/Internet Options/Advanced and then scroll down to Multimedia and untick Enable Automatic Image Resizing. |
Tito, your work is great :)
Do you have any images that you have inked, or do you prefer just to leave them in graphite/pencil? Because I'd love to see some of your work inked, I can imageine that it would have a very clean quality of line - very graphic. |
That is some pro work. Denise Richards looks amazingly realistic.
|
Thanks for the tip, Wendy, but that was not the problem I'm having. The thing is, when I scan any of my pics, they have to be in very good quality or else they don't display correctly, so they are quite big in size. As Abandonia has a Global Space limit, I won't be able to upload many pics unless I use links to some page, any suggestions? Besides, I've changed that setting as you said, because the automatic resizing is an annoyance.
And thanks a lot for all your comments. I've started drawing again, so as soon as I get my scanner fixed ( :tai: ) I'll try to show you my latest pics (and now in normal paper, not in old notebooks :ok: ). Lulu, for the ink thing, I don't have anything yet, but I'm planning on doing something soon. I'll look for an old pic I have somewhere that is somewhat close to ink, to see what you think of it. Thanks a lot again!! :ok: Edit: Finally, I have surrended to ImageShack |
Here are three little pics I did in a while, just for entertainment.
Two taken from the Discworld manual: http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/636/muerteuo8.th.jpg http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/5...ranajx4.th.jpg And this one. The allmigthy, dreadful, fearsome... CAT! :kosta: :kosta: http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/2...jeviej8.th.jpg |
Heh! You cat made me laugh and laugh and laugh, and I mean that in a very good way!
Awesome images Tito :) |
I agree with Lulu that cat really has something :)
Like the frog in the wiz cap, too. Nice tonal range on the cadarvous character. Great work, Tito. :ok: |
Glad you like my little cat. I got a whole army of them. In fact, they tended to invade my notebooks from time to time (specially during exam times).
Now, a big one: http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/359...retejs7.th.jpg I'm quite proud of this one, as at first it seemed very difficult to achieve the motion sensation with only a normal pencil. The original is from Glen Orbik, by the way, and I took it from a book called TSR's worlds or something similar. |
Wow.... That's impressive Tito, very cool!
|
Wow, nice pictures. :w00t:
|
Your knight is... The first word which I thought of was "impressive" but since it's already been said... Waka waka! :w00t:
|
Wow! This cat is so...so...catful!
Great pics, please post more :w00t: |
Mmm, the bad thing is that, if I keep posting the good ones so fast, I'll run out of them soon and I'll have to start showing the crappy ones :bleh:
Besides, I still owe a semi-ink thing to Lulu_Jane. |
And here finally it is, my "Ink thing". As you can see, it's not ink, just something I made with a ball-pen. One day I was drawing stupid things in some papers and then I saw this pic in a book ("The book of five rings" by Miyamoto Mushashi, by the way) and I decided to try it. Quite nice having in mind that ball-pen doesn't allow corrections.
http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/8...urisyk9.th.jpg What I surely know is that I should work a bit more on landscapes. |
Very nice drawing! And a very good book :ok:
|
And another one. This is a pic that got severely damaged and had to be redone a copule of times, due to the fact that it was in one of the notebooks I most used. Looks quite bad now. Has something to do with Ecstatica II, but I'm not sure of what:
http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/6...reracu1.th.jpg Hope you like it. And thanks for the comment Quinto (and congrats for the January Competition). It is an interesting book, but a bit difficult to read. |
...I'm falling in love!
|
Glad you like it David. If you had seen her in her original shading... :sneaky:
Ok, with my new politic of a pic everyday ('till I run out of them), here´s another one: http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/9...tadapb5.th.jpg A strage cover I made for my sister once. I didn't care about the band nor the title, just put weird things on it. An it has lots of cats too. |
And here is today's update :bleh:
Guess who's her? http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/1...roftoz3.th.jpg This one, I tried inking it, and the result rocks. Hope one day I'll get a new scanner, and I can start posting new things. |
A bit late for my update today, but here it is:
http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/261/sirenafy3.th.jpg A little mermaid. I love the way this small pics look when you make them bigger, you can see how every little line blends together with others to configure another thing. Mmmm, I love that. |
Well, I guess today I'll have two pics, as long as I don't quite get which time does this board consider to be a new day.
Here, a lovely and friendly monster, ready to meet some interesting people and share a word or two about weather, pets and children studies. http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/856...ibledm0.th.jpg |
Oh..this monster is impressive! :w00t:
I really like fantasy style (Maybe because sometimes I play D&D ).. ^_^ |
Thanks David, fantasy and girls are my main themes, as you'll have already guessed by the pics displayed. About that monster, I like how the shading looks, but the hands are a bit different in size (too lazy to redo them now).
|
Can I copy and use it like a desktop wallpaper or there's a copyright? ^_^
I did not see the different hands size, but IMO it's not a bug...it's a special characteristic of the monster! |

All hail the humble ballpoint pen!
Great work (as always ;) ) Tito. By the way, if you're interested, check out this guy's amazing ballpoint ink gallery (be sure to scroll all the way down :) ) |

Anyway, the monster wants to thank all of you for you kindness. He has a bit of a complex about his hands, you know... Well, since it has been two days since my last update, I guess we can have something big now: http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/9...citorx6.th.jpg A classic dragon. The original one was from Ciruelo, and came in an interesting book called "The Great Book of the Dragon", with lots of lovely ilustrations and stories. Hope you like it. PD: What a crazy and amazing link you provided us, Lulu. Those Biro Art pics are great. |
Another pic. This one is very small, around 4cm high, but I think it looks quite good:
http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/3084/morogl1.th.jpg |
:kosta:
|
Thanks for the praise, r.u.s.s.
This one is from the Warcraft II manual: http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/4...malolg6.th.jpg And don't miss my lemon-wearing car avatar!! Carefully resized and with a brand-new border!! Never a lemon-wearing cat looked better!! (and for those who say it isn't a lemon but some other kind of fruit, well, wathever). |
WoW really cool pics, I'm not so talented in drawing pics with my hand, but i can really good draw pics, Pixel 4 Pixel :max:
The Frostmourne Warcraft³ respritet by ¢.$ http://img183.imageshack.us/img183/7...orneac2.th.jpg |
That's impressive, Cool Spot! How much did it took you to do that? I've tried pixel art a few times, but I'm too impatient to get it to a good end.
You know, there was a whole project here in Abandonia involving Pixel Art. You can take a look at it at here: Pixel art, and, if you have them, post some other pics there. It would be nice to see some old and interesting art thread come to life again. Or you could open a Topic on your own showing your pics. Also, this gallery has some cool pixel art pix, along with other impressive works. |
After some tiem lurking older Art threads, it is time for my daily update (always after dinner, you know...).
This is a quick picture I took from Vampire: The Masquerade Redemption (the manual, that is). As you can see my notebook was already a bit dirty before I drawed it. The man´s arm is a bit strange, but we can assume he is wearing an extremely large and loose robe; http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/990...ticokw5.th.jpg |
4 the Frostmourne. i have needed 4 Weeks. Every Evening 4 houres.
I will upload my Pics in a few weeks. 4 a few weeks i was relocated to my girlfriend. i must wait of my PC. When all it's done, i will start a gallery of Spotty pics. Big Promise :ok: |
There's shades of the Face Hugger from "Aliens" in the latest pic Tito ;)
Fantastic as always! *tips her hat to Tito* |
Mmm, great picture, pretty detailled. Even if taken from an already existing picture, it's still well redrawn :ok:
|
Cool SpOT:  What a lot of time!! That's why I can't do pixel art, too slow for my taste. Anyway, I'll be eagerly looking for you gallery. :ok:
Lulu: Mmm, a Face Hugger. I can see the connection. Even so, I would prefer to be embraced by the vampire girl better than the alien. They both are sinister and going to kill me but, well, I don´t like exoskeletons that much. By the way, aren´t you going to update your gallery any time soon? There were some great pics there (I specially liked your Portrait 1 at deviantart). Scatty: Thanks for the comment, and nice new avatar!! :ok: |
Today's update is a pic I'm not very fond of (those breasts are insanely rounded and her expression is quite scaring), but hey, the cat at her feet saves the day:
http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/6...gatobk5.th.jpg Besides, it is so difficult to draw floating pieces of cloth... |
Hey, she's pretty good. The proportions of her body meet the requirements of classic beauty, with exactly the right length of the legs. Nice work there. The way she looks though makes her look like some erynnie or a goddes of war :P
Like the little tiger :D |
Now I want to be that cat!!! And look at her...mhhh...eyes
|
Another update, after a tiring weekend. This one is also game-related. A little knight from "Darklands" manual:
http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/440...lerojt2.th.jpg Now, off to sleep. Sweet dreams for everybody!! |
Darklands is the bestest RPG ever! :titan:

Yes, that's true about the manual. LOL Other examples: Sword of the Samurai, Machiavelli the Prince AKA Merchant Prince. Actually I played Darklands only recently, only one game, and I didn't finish it. Well I've never finished a RPG anyway, and this is huge. I quitted playing unintentionally when my characters already kicked major behind and were nearly just started with the main plot. Anyway the game itself is awesome in its conception and execution. Maybe I myself think so because it's non-linear, and because in tabletop roleplaying I always preferred RuneQuest or historical settings over D&Dish stuff.
|
Back in the days of floppy disks, the manuals, maps and other goodies were one of my most loved things about getting a new game. Miss Christy Marx's games always contained phenomenal manuals and illustrated maps etc. Even the stuff that was really just copy protection was always lovingly rendered and fully intergrated into the game's actual story line. I still have the beautiful map of England and the Middle East which came with the release of Conquest Of Camelot in my house back in Australia, also, don't get me started on the manual she created for Conquest of the Longbow!! *sigh* all those beautiful embellishments inspired from the Book Of Kells, just glorious...
Sadly CDroms and their tiny jewel cases have helped manuals become smaller, and less interesting imho. Anyways, forgive me for the off-topic spiel Tito, you and Japofran just got me all nostalgic ;) By the way, did you say that you were illustrating on fabric, or did I misread something? |

PD: Again, I missed yesterday's daily update. In a way, it is a pity, as you can't enjoy another of my marvellous pics and praise me for it :bleh: But, in the other side, as I have only 6 pictures left 'til I get a new scanner, is better to space them out a bit. Anyway, it is the problem with self-imposed silly rules, such as the one that I can only update pics at 11:00 PM local time. Yesterday's Gipsy Jazz concert made it impossible. |
Mmmm, lets see, what can I update today...
¡That's it! Guess almost everyone knows this one from Sin City. I haven't seen the film, but I know the storyboard follows the comic frame by frame, so it would be a bit stupid to miss one of the best pics in the whole comic series: http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/4...atalld8.th.jpg |
Ooooh, nice Frank Miller homage!
As always Mr. Tito, I bow down before you :) |

Just kidding!!!! :bleh: By the way, I still don´t know what was the illustrating on fabric thing you talked about. |
For today's update, another girl! :
http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/1...nitasl9.th.jpg This one is quite simple, but still looks good. It is a kind of sketch of the main character from the Alien Vs. Predator comic. I tried inking her, but she got severely disfigured. Hope you like it/her!! |
For today's update, a pic I don´t like quite much. It is a protrait of a friend of mine. The photo was a bit small, and ligth was too strong, so details and shades almost dissapeared. Also, those tiny eyes are quite horrid, and don't give credit to my friend's beauty, not to talk about her forehead.
http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/7901/lucajs4.th.jpg At the end it was so frustrating that I started working in the landscape more than in the girl. But she was happy with the result anyway, so I guess it wasn't that bad after all. Besides, it's always nice to recieve a present for no apparent reason. |
Here I go again. This pic, I had it unnoticed for a while, but after having a close look at it again, it happens to have some interesting details. Specially the mail in the woman's arm and both characters hair. It is taken from the cover of a pen and paper RPG, Rolemaster.
http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/755...morosg6.th.jpg |
Ah good ole Rolemaster, the RPG of my teen years. If you used all optional rules and companion books it got more complicated than calculating a rocket's trajectory through a space-time singularity, but no wonder it got too popular, if only because of those illustrations.
|
Yes, you could get tons of material for that game. I myself got the three basic books (Character creation, Combat and Magic) along with Treasures and Creatures, and teh World of Shadows expansion. A small fortune, having in mind I was about 13 or 14 years old.
The ilustration's original author is Angus McBride, I forgot to mention it. He has great pics, many based upon the Lord of The Rings universe. For today's update, a little angel (more or less): http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/66/angelvg9.th.jpg I'm not absolutely sure, but I think she has something to do with "Magic: The Gathering" (another terrible waste of money for me about ten years ago). Maybe Serra's Angel. Anyway, a nice girl with deadly weapons and beautiful wings. PD: Only one more to go! :crybaby: |
Could you give me her phone number please?? :w00t:
Really nice pic Tito! |
Be careful David. I wouldn't count on a flying girl with very big and sharp blades.
It is the same for the following one. I know I shouldn't feel this weird attraction towards girl with a tendency to howl to the full moon, but I can't help it. Here she is: http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/6883/lobayy3.th.jpg For this one, strangely, I did a bit of a landscape. The original comes from the same book as the knight a few posts ago, and the original illustrator was either Glenn Orbik or Rob Rupell, not quite sure. And that's all folks, for now. I haven't got any more pictures scanned so, until I fix my scanner or find another solution (I don't want to buy a new one :tai: ), this gallery is going to lack novelties for a time. Hope you have enjoyed it 'til now!! :ok: |
so many pictures at once :)
but anyway, i like your works, they have something to them definitely. it's hard to point out the ones i liked the best after some 4 pages stuffed with pictures, so let me just put it that way ;) anyway, as for the look of pictures, particularly the 'dirty look' that comes from notebook scans, have you tried playing around with the brightness/contrast/whatever levels in photoshop? i think that might help, if for only a little bit. keep up the work! :) |
Thanks for the comments, Ado.
Many times I've though of playing a bit with Photoshop, but I'm a bit lazy to start rigth now. I don't even know if it is a free software, as so many people seem to own it. |
It's not free, although I guess it gets pirated a lot. But there are freeware alternatives --as always--, Gimp for instance.
|
it's not free, but it can be :P
|
Surprisingly, a new update!!
This one was a birthday present for a friend of mine. I asked her to scan it and send it to me. Don't know what she's done, but the pic looks too light. Guess she hasn't got a very good scanner. http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/4...le20fm3.th.jpg Anyway, it still looks quite well, having in mind some shades have been lost. |
Another pic, this time my submission for the March Art Competition, "a Vampire's garden":
http://img71.imageshack.us/img71/200...ricopc0.th.jpg I prefer to also have it in my gallery, so it doesn't become lost or anything between the birth and death of other threads. By the way, it is done completely on my own, and that is quite a novelty... |
Another update at last! The same day I scanned the Vampire's garden, I did also with two other pics. One, in order to proceed inking it and the other already finished. Here it is, a nice werewolf:
http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/8...loboah6.th.jpg As usual, it is not an original pic of mine, but of Quinton Hoover, a great artist that has done pics for several fantasy settings and comics. You can see some of his work here. Enjoy! |
He looks pretty menacing, Tito.

And here, an update that is kind of dated by now. My submission for the POTM competition in april (pleasures):
http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/1...intazn5.th.jpg I know it is in another thread but hey! I like to keep my few scanned pics together. Enjoy! |
She's exquisite.
|
Your Intimidating me! Stop it! haha jk. Brilliant Artwork
|
Tito: I just discovered your pics and I'm really impressed. I haven't looked at all of them, but in time I will. I did however, stop and watched the dragon's head. That was awesome^10. And please, keep'em coming!
|
Thanks Midget! In fact I have some more pics in store, but as I've been without a scanner for quite a long time I can't post them yet. And I'm so eager to show all of you my crazy symmetrical and poligonal pics...
|
Well, time to update my gallery a bit. Still, no scanner, but a digital camera will do.
First, my entry to the POTM comp from a few months ago: http://img379.imageshack.us/img379/8...0085gd9.th.jpg And second, another crazy pic I made a long time ago, probably during some lessons or in the library, pretending I was studying: http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/7128/rarokc8.th.jpg |
The first one was really cool :ok: the second hurt my eyes (maybe coz of my hangover :P)

Another two pics.
First, an inked version of a previously posted pic, the lovely Lara Croft: http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/9...intawd1.th.jpg And this one, a passtime I could call "Cat wars": http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/6...warsac9.th.jpg This, as many other weird things happening in my mind, is an elaborated process intented for wasting time when I go to the library to study. It represents a war between two factions, killer cats (the ones facing east) and featherweight little panters (the ones facing west). The number of contendents for each side was determined by many factors, such as the number of pages I had already studied or the minute being pair or odd as I looked at the watch. As I said, many weird things happend in my mind. |
Another two.
This one, dedicated to Midget's hangovers: http://img410.imageshack.us/img410/6251/raro2td5.th.jpg And this one, a pic I made during my last job, in a dark room full of kids watching a film. http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/6...iciofl3.th.jpg |
Ah, that was much better :D I didn't get dizzy LOL
Actually, that one was quite nice. Had this old-ish ornamental quality, at least in my eyes. Well done :ok: |
And after a long time (almost half a year), another update for my gallery.
http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/6930/jin2ab5.th.jpg and http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/8...gen1nf2.th.jpg Quick ink copy of two anime characters on a super-cool notebook from Camden Town. |
Well done!
The first one seems a bit like me (when I wear my kimono and the sword, of course) |
I'm almost dissapeared from the forums right now, but it is nice to update some things from time to time. Today, some quick drawings intended as part of birthday presents:
http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/5...oso2qn0.th.jpg http://img387.imageshack.us/img387/8...ton2lf9.th.jpg Enjoy! |
Someone is going to have an happy birthday...
|
Wow, Tito. You have a really strong sense of posture and proportion -- your work is really good, and I wish some of the scans were cleaner so I could see more detail. :) Thank you for sharing this!
|
wow i could have sworn there was written pipo's tits in the topic title. nevermind, move along everybody
|
Mmm, Pipo's Tits, sounds quite... weird.
Anyway, thanks a lot for the comment karooble. The problem is that the surface in which many of the paintings were made was dirty itself, not that much of the scans. Cheers! |
