Machine Hunter [SOLD]
Top down shooter, 1997 MGM Interactive, Eurocom Ent.
played the demo a lot when i was like 12 years old or so... Anyway, those "people" at MGM decided never to release it in europe (save for the uk, dunno). Anyhow, i think it would be a nice addition to the site... Feel free to reply... |
It being sold at CD Access I'm afraid.
You can buy it from here - http://www.cdaccess.com/html/pc/machhunt.htm :ok: |
Ok... But how about the expiration date on copyrights... Just because those people at CD access still have some in storage doesn't mean that the company itself sees it as a profit generating title? Commander keen's copyright expended somewhere in the late 20's (1995 i believe, hit me when i'm wrong) and that was about the same amount of time this game has been out of retail (save for cd access).
Does anyone know the exact amount of time it takes before a company declares the game "copyright free/freely distributable" ? I would reeeeally like to know :) Thanks up front. |
AFAIK copyrights lasts for 75 years....
|
Holy smelly-bile-of-brown, 75 years!?!? hfs that's a long time to wait. Much obliged.

Parts 1 and 4 are actually free for distribution (and always were), parts 2-3 and 5 are still sold. |

Heh if copyrights really did expire THAT soon, then Disney would be out of business for milking the same old crap over and over heh ;)
|
Ain't that the truth... especially if you concider "the little mermaid REDUX XV" and "Mickey mouse's magical mayhem mischief multiplied mash M-word" profit making. (for those that start googling right away, no these titles do not exist. just a way of pointing out how desperate disney is getting)
*anvil drops.* Your aim needs practice, fifth. |

there is a difference between the copyrights for movies and the ones for games, especially in the case of disney properties. Check out the Mickey mouse laws If you want to know more

Machine Hunter (1997) by Eidos Inc.
Our oldwarez list says it's still sold. |
I thought I looked there.
One of the others was Machine Hunter, but I just looked and it's sold at CD Access. Unfortunately. Anyway, I have found a few boxes in my spare garage. That's right, I haz boxshots! I shall post them in the Box shots thread. |

Once again, the archives to this game exist only in someone's imagination.
