Never met an Infocom game I didn't like.

It says... Put Shogun Disk #2 in drive F. What disk ???

Reup 15-04-2007 03:37 PM

When does it say that? Are you running in XP or DosBOX? If in XP, you can just doubleclick on SHOGUN.EXE to run the game. Easy as 1-2-3.

Dark Piedone 15-04-2007 04:04 PM

I run it on DOSBox, just at the beggning, I type in Dos "Shogun" and a blue screen appears telling me what I told you before.
The same thing happens in XP.

Anybody else have this problem or I'm the only one ?

I get the same thing. I put the EXE file and EG1 file ion separate floppies and tried using them as disk A and disk B respectively, but that doesn't work either.

Should be fixed now. I've uploaded the archive again, this time with all files in it :whistling: Happy playing :P

Oh my goodness :) I had no idea, that one of my favourite TV shows has made into a text adventure, but did you all know that the fictional character " Pilot Major Blackthorne anjin-san/sama" is really made on a real person named Will Addams ? and well that is true, and Will Addams did become Tokugawas (Toranaga in the old tv series) right hand :)

But anyway what the main character did in the series, has nothing to do with the real person. And also Will Addams diary has been published . Ok I will shut up for now, but wow :) maybe I will check this one later on :)

But reup, should get the old TV series, since he can get it on DVD. And the Last Samurai ? hmmm perhaps he should get the Shogun dvd set instead.

But ok, I am NOT fond of the Last Samurai at all. In reality, there I think The Last Samurai is bollocks, to put it plain and simple. But ok I will shut up now.

Hey hey... I only recommended the Soundtrack :) You can put the theme from Kung-Fu on if your feeling more nostalgic :P

LOL naah :) But well , you should definately get the series on DVD, if it has any interest :) since it is a smashing great series :) and well the series is no Hollywood (except for one single scene, and that has something to do with too many ninjas in one of the last episodes). But other than that , then the series is indeed smashing great :)

nope, works for me. man it's difficult <_< . hard to beat

Mousazz 12-06-2007 10:35 AM

don't take it as a bad think, reup, but the ship in wich you start is called "erasmus", not eramus

Mousazz 12-06-2007 04:43 PM

then in second chapter you get out into town, you'll see a jesuit (priest), and few of his henchman. PISS ON THEM :max: :vomit: :OK: . it'll... it'll... it'll think it's an attack. if you attack:
THE PRIEST: he will curse you, but he turns another cheek (TO PISS :o )
THE HENCHMEN: you do your best to fend them off (by PISSING :hysterical: )
have fun (and i can't believe it wasn't mentioned in hint "did you try?" section).

Reup 12-08-2007 09:58 AM

The games interface is pretty rich and lets you try and do all kinds of stupid stuff :) Nice one Mousazz :OK:

GaryP 24-10-2009 04:02 PM

these games are classic! who wouldn't like them?

Luchsen 24-10-2009 04:39 PM

Eastern barbarians? (You have to know the full title for a shogun to understand this.)

RRS 24-10-2009 09:10 PM

Before anyone starts flame war against innocent Luchsen:

seii taishōgun (full form of "shōgun") means "great general who subdues eastern barbarians" --Wikipedia

arete 26-10-2009 06:55 AM

Well, at least he tried ^_^ It's still a joke, even if no one gets it... Well done, Luchsen, keep practising! :D

Luchsen 26-10-2009 02:14 PM

:easy:
