I just don't have the time!

Just to give you a rough idea:

I have 424 C64 floppy disks and 187 tapes all full of games (some games take up more then one side of a floppy disk, so take up to 8 sides, so I can't tell the exact number).

I have 172 PC CD-ROMs with games (again some take up more then one CD) games, 46 Floppys (some take up to 8 floppies to install) and 3 DVD games.

In adition to that I have some Amiga and Spectrum ZX games (even though I don't own the machines, but friends who got rid of their machines and found an old game or two at home knew I'm collecting such stuff, so they gave it to me).

Now do you really think I have the time to type a full list?

I'm not even able to finish the list of the movies I have on VHS tapes, because there are too many of them and I even lost track of what I taped where (so I can't find some of them) and I really don't feel like making a list of games (which I can read right off the disk-floppy) just to know what I own.

I guess a definition of "own" is in order here
Actually, I have only bought two PC games ever: Apache 95 and Hind. One problem is that too many games are just so mind-crumblingly lame that I loathe the very idea of spending money just to find out I hate the games and that I cannot possibly sell them or return them.

_r.u.s.s. 23-04-2007 03:37 PM

the only games i have bought (with box and stuff, cause i also bought "game packs") are icewind dale 1 and deathtrap dungeon

Himmler 23-04-2007 08:37 PM

these days i'll test the multiplayer with a friend.

For some of us, it is not the lack of guts, but the lack of a catalogue. I have nearly enough boardgames to stock a small store. What I do have, in computer games, is 1830, MOO, XCOM: UFO Defence, and XCOM: Terror from the Deep, alonng with maybe a dozen of more modern titles.

Puggy123 24-04-2007 02:14 AM

Rlbell is right.

Geezer 24-04-2007 02:30 AM

I am finally getting around to putting mine in a database.

Talin 24-04-2007 03:24 PM

i did my catalogue in Wordpad ;)

If I use a database I can sort and filter them in many ways. :)

Talin 24-04-2007 06:31 PM

usually i use a database on a swedish retro-gaming site im a member of to list all of my games/consoles, this list was just a quickie for this forum :)
