Trash It

Hello!

:sos:

I'm wondering if anyone can help me find or name this game. here is my description:

The game is a platform - jump & run. The main characters are 2 construction workers armed with huge hammers. They had yellow helmets and you could hide your char in the helmet.
There were several playing modes: singleplayer and multiplayer - cooperative and competitive.

I think I played this game around 1996. It is hell-a-fun game! If anyone knows it, please tell me the name, I wish I could play it again! thanks!

PS: AWESOME SITE! just found it!

Thanks in advance

Trash It!

Hello!

The game is from 1997 by GT-interactive and Rage Software. It's not sold officially neither supported.

This is a cover of TRASH IT for PS1, but I have played it on my PC a while ago.

If anybody has the game or some info, please share.

dominant 03-06-2007 08:34 PM

I requested it, after I found out the name of the game.

I think it won't be approved because its not abandonware yet (until next year)

Dave 09-09-2007 10:29 PM

Yes Dominant, rejected until 2008

Dave 02-01-2008 10:42 PM

It's an old game by rage soft and it's almost impossible to find any info about it. Bah,those construction workers with great sledgehammers and vacuum cleaners...me want!!!

Dave 22-05-2008 05:36 PM

Welcome to our forums Letho.

Trash It (1997)

Sorry man :D

Frodo 22-05-2008 09:50 PM

I have the game. :p

I would offer it to AB, but it's 280MB zipped. Is that too large?

Yeah, by at least half. You're clear to up it into ISO Cellar, though. Maybe someone could then figure out a way to rip the game, reducing the archive size to one more acceptable for the main site.

Frodo 22-05-2008 11:13 PM

What ISO-making programme is best (easiest) for someone who has never made ISOs before?

And the game doesn't work on Vista. :( Stupid Vista!!!

Ermuli 23-05-2008 03:32 AM

Iso is a bad format for cds since it doesn't understand audio
tracks. I have downloaded tens of games which don't have
audio tracks due to the iso format.

I personally use CloneCD and GoldenHawk CDRWin to make
images, but you have to buy a licence to make them work properly.
I suggest you use good old Ahead Nero to make nrg images.
I guess you have Nero?

This doesn't work that way.

Personally I find Alcohol 120% to be the most convenient one, since it supports ISO, MDF/MDS and BIN/CUE formats (the latter being the preferred one for games which have audio tracks on their CDs).

Yes, but Alcohol 120% isn't free. Neither is Nero, but I think 80 % of us has it.

The Fifth Horseman 23-05-2008 04:24 PM

Nothing is ever truly free in this world. ;)

Frodo 23-05-2008 04:39 PM

I don't have nero or alcohol. :( And I'm not going to buy license for something that will only be used this once.

I'll try to find something to make an image. :)

One idea is (I'm talking to admins now) I uploaded to the server, an admin can then take it from the server and make image \ ISO \ whatever, then delete it from server. Is that possible?

EDIT
Nero 8 has Trial Download, so I'll see if that works.

By no means.

Sebatianos 23-05-2008 06:00 PM

Personally I use MagicISO (it can make other files too BIN/CUE, NRG...). It says I would be advized to buy it, but the trial alows me to do anything I wanted it for, so I'm not buying the licence (the only thing the trial version can't do, is to make huge hard disk folders into images - it supports only up to 700MB, but you can make images of CDs, DVDs - even floppies, with no limitation).

_r.u.s.s. 23-05-2008 06:27 PM

frodo, i dunno, nero is not very used format. but i could recompile it for you once it's uploaded. and also, alcohol offers free trial too. and it's pretty good proggy. totaly worth cracki*coughcough*buyg

btw

this was really disturbing sentence

Frodo 23-05-2008 09:40 PM

Okay, I downloaded MagicIso, and used that to make bin\cue image which I am now uploading to MegaUpload (it will take about 3 hours :notrust:)

I'm not sure I'm doing it right though. I tried it twice, and both times, the image I end up with is larger than the original cd. Is that normal? :weird:

_r.u.s.s. 24-05-2008 12:36 AM

of course. btw rather split the image in to multiple files rar archive

Too late :p

Here's link for the image. Hope it works. :amused:

Ermuli 24-05-2008 05:39 AM

Thanks, the link works very well. You should indeed pack
the image with WinRAR or 7zip, which is free.

_r.u.s.s. 24-05-2008 08:16 AM

thank youu!

but for the future: PLEASE don't use megaupload. it requires annoyng toolbar commercial spyware sh*t otherwise you can't download anything. now i can't acces the game :(

can somebody put it to normal host please?

Dave 26-05-2008 10:58 AM

Added to Oldwarez List.
