Machines
Hehey on the same grounds I'd like to make a request from the PCG disks (UK). Does anyone know where to find the full version of a game called Machines, on the disks March or May '99 (I can't remember which, but it was on one of them).
That's the FULL VERSION. I don't mind if it's on CD or ABW. |

Hehey another request by the always-requesting PrejudiceSucks.
Anyways, any new on the ABW status of this game? Released 1999 May/March. I have NEVER found a full version of this game, ever. It got reviews in the mid-high eighties, I recommend it a lot. I also allowed you to take control of your units from first person, which is always nice. Please respond. |
bit new for the site, I'd imagine - I've not heard of it though.
|
Hmm yeah, it's a bit obscure. It was really excellent though.

Ah machines, that was a great game, although I have only ever played the demo.
It would be really good if this was uploaded but it might still be sold, although I havent found any companies selling online at first glance, would be cool to upload, might be a bit big though. |
Aye, I had the demo (If you read PCGUK it's probs the same one) and it was great (was only 9 at the time :D)
Anyways, an upload would be great and I'm sure it can't be too big, due to the demo being so small. Any help would be great. Remember Acclaim used to/still do own it. |
Well, I bought it myself a long time ago (I wanted to buy Forsaken, but wasn't old enough, so I bought Machines ;) )
Anyway, I'm not quite sure where it is and if I will ever find it again, plus the fact that it most likely will be on German. You can probably choose other languages in the installation, but I'm not quite sure about it. Wasn't my game anyway. I was too busy playing my own units while my enemy rushed my base ^_^ |
Machines is still sold here:
http://www.cdaccess.com/html/quick/machinespr.htm (but just 3 in stock). |
Anywhere else or just there?
If we buy all of the copies we can spread the love! |

By the way, how many ad clicks is $75? |

Ever since Acclaim went out of business, I've been trying to wipe some of their games up. However, a few ones elude me, but not as much as a game called Machines. I first played a demo of the game on the Turok 2 disc, and it seemed somewhat original, so I was like "hey, maybe I'll look for this game one day." Can anyone give me a lead of where I can even buy the game? It seems nearly non-existent.

Here's a review of the game on Mobygames - Machines
Here are some links where you can buy the game on Amazon. They all can be shipped only to USA, though - Machines Machines But here's a link at eBay where you can buy it in new condition and it's shipped to USA and worldwide - Machines at eBay I hope I could help you :bye: |
Thanks a bunch, man.
|
And Acclaim is hardly out of buesiness, I'm beta testing one of thie new games :)
Bots! |
"Bots!"? Haven't heard of that... how is it?
|
And must I note that the name was bought out too? I checked the site's roster of games and.... yeah.... kinda small, considering they developed at least 23 games, but I only see 2.

Machines is sold out at cdaccess, but it's still sold at amazon:

Thread split off from here, so don't wonder at the introducing sentence.
|
So, it's this Machines
|
Acclaim is not an ESA company, and happens to be defunct.
Current IP ownership unclear: Acclaims IP have been acquired by a number of companies. |
Does it helps?

Doesn't: We still don't know who holds the rights to the game now.
|
And this? :whistling:
http://www.amazon.com/Acclaim-4150-Machine...1131&sr=8-2 It's still sold, so we don't need to know who holds the copyright, right? |
Correct.
