Eagle of Fire 08-12-2004 02:41 AM

I been away for 3 days because my appartment got flooded (again...).

This time my "neighbor" on the second story of the house forgot her bath while talking on the telephone... Stupid her managed to spill at least 3 times the amount of water her bath can contain before realising it.

Since my appartment is in the basement, I got it all flooding my roof in no time. Same for the appartment just above mine...

But I have a good news: stupidity doesn't kill. Even tough I wish it would. :wall:
And she doesn't have any damage in her appartment...

Anyways...

Now may I laugh cruelly at your predicament.
Just kidding. LOL
Sorry to hear, boido. :D

Don't worry, you can't rust! :D

They will take care of everything? (I hate the odor after flood  )

I hope. At least now I'm back in.

Waiting for the insurance company to come check in to know what's really going on.

Year ago I went to Florida for vacation, and first night pipe broke just above our room door.

At the time they notice something was going on, water made it to first floor (I was on the top, 7th floor).

Everything was alright (except me waking up, and standing in the couple inches of water trying to figure out what's going on  ) and they give us additional nigh of stay, dinner and of course, better room. :D

Wish you luck with insurance! :ok:

Actually, the phone call was about the death of one of her relative. That doesn't change anything tough. It was only her oncle and even if she was under the shock, how the hell can you not hear water flowing out of a bath?

How can you leave a bath about to be overfilled to answer a phone anyways? :wall:

rainwife 10-12-2004 02:35 AM

For the furute, I hope you can swim
But all in all, it could have been worse, so enjoy - there is nothing else you actually can do...
Glad you are back to normal though :D
