ImageShack

I would really like to post the pictures from my recent XCOM2000 victory over supergod, but I can't get imageshack to work. After setting settings I click upload and it goes to a blank screen (like a new tab except it's the same tag). The url is load.imageshack.us. Nothing happens. Status bar says 'Done'. No email ever comes. I've tried on my 98 and my XP comp, both using Firefox, any ideas?
PS I've tried resizing and not resizing images... no luck

Try using photobucket.
Unlike Imageshack, it doesn't delete the pictures.

DoomYoshi 28-08-2008 04:45 PM

Ok, thanks. 640 x 480 is correct reduction, right?

I never had problems with Imagesack, if you have a personal profile you won't lose your pictures..btw today the site was overloaded, that could be the reason of the blank page.

You don't need to downsize the picture if you compress it well when saving. Indexed-mode PNG at maximum compression gives about 30 kB per picture (assuming you used ALT+PrtScr to only take a screencap of the Ufo 2000 window rather than your whole desktop).

Dave 29-08-2008 12:51 PM

Yes, everyday...you should try it :oh:

I not just have an ImageShack® account..
I ALSO have the ImageShack® Toolbar.

It's Actually useful from time to time..

imageshack is kinda good but it tends to have overloaded servers

i recently found this www.freeimagehosting.net and it's awesome. fast, reliable, no bullcraping around

Kugerfang 01-09-2008 01:11 PM

Imageshack sucks. If your pic gets too many views, it says: "Get bent, bandwidth sucker!"

dosraider 01-09-2008 01:16 PM

That's one of the reasons I told you to use thumbnails Kuggy.
Thumbs never get shutdown for bandwith reasons.

I have to change my thoughts, the last 3 days Imageshack deleted 50% of my images into my personal profile, even recent ones...many friends of mine experienced the same recently.
Damn, it was good :(

Bobbin Threadbare 24-09-2008 01:46 AM

Use Tinypic.

Dave 24-09-2008 10:34 AM

Thanks I'll give it a look :)
Btw today my images are back , weird.

Nothing weird about it, they are stored on several servers, if one is down temporarily ..... now yeah, you get it.

Dave 24-09-2008 11:03 AM

Glad to hear that :)
