Ahahahahahaha, those desktop adventures. They're so damn fun to kill office or school time :D If I might add a request along with the Indiana Jones Desktop Adventures, I'll request adding Star Wars Desktop Adventures as well :ok:

AHHH!!!! Both were just awfull, yet somehow I played the and found them to be slightly amusing. But are they abandoned? It's LucasArts we're talking about... :wall: |
I sure hope they're abandoned. Heck, I would love to review those if they ever get uploaded and need a review!
Edit: Just thought of something, how do you find out if a game is Abandoned or not? Obviously the desktop adventures are no longer sold on the lucas arts website, but how do you find out if a game is copyright by an EAS member? |
try searching for it on the underdoggies. You can relly on them
If the game is not present that means it's not abw, or it's protected by ESA.Else you get the picture |
Not necessarily so. They just don't have all games, and I frequently find out they don't have one I'm looking for. For example, they don't have the Hugo trilogy, and that it's got to be bought isn't an excuse, as they've got hundreds of games that you have to buy listed (That Jack Kerouac game, for example). ESA protected's no big deal not to list a game there either. Look at all the Sierra-games on there, for example. On the other hand, they don't have Ultima I, II, III, V, VI, VII or VIII, yet those are abandonware.

So...what's going to happen with this game? Yay or nay for the site?
|
Depends on three things:
1) Whether or not somebody can provide the archives 2) Whether or not somebody can review and screenshot them 3) Whether or not the admins concider it to be abandonware and fit for the site |
ihace the demo but it has 2 level !!! no more !!! and i like the game very much
in HOTU they dont have it.... and i didnt know that star wars have a desktop adventures .... thanx to all for the replies |

What comes to the Ultima series, they were far too popular to be an underdog. The reviews of the Sierra games are there as they were added on the site before the infamous IDSA/ESA mess. The Hugo games I don't know of. |
ooOOOOOooh sweeeeeeeeeeeet. They changed the buy-button to download options :ok: Check it out
What about Wrath of the Gods then? I've been looking for that one for ten years by now. They have it, but it's still sold by the makers, hence the buy-link. (Still seriously am concidering buying it, too. It really should be worth its money :ok: ) |
Hmm.. I remember downloading the Romnibus from HOTU already way over a year ago.. ;) I've got an ISO of the CD these days, and I must say the videos and the soundclips add a lot to the package.
Hm. My copy of the CD is at my other apartment right now, but I'll have it next month. If you're interested, I can see if I can copy the media files for you. |
That'd be awesome :ok:
|
I would like to see these desktop games too. (joda and indy)
I played only demo that came with LucasArt compilation. |
Been looking for a non-demo version of them, and stumbled upon this...
Patch for Yoda Stories, from the LucasArts site. Would that mean it's still supported? |
