We were on our way back from Winnipeg, and our radio signal cut out just as Overetime started, and as we rolled into Dauphin (Manitoba) we had a potty break at the McDonalds and they had 2 big screens set up iun there, and we caught Crosbie's winning goal!

can you mend my broken medaless heart?

MikeK 01-03-2010 09:21 PM

What a great game that was.

I just hope this doesn't mean Crosby is some kind of Canadian national hero now. Could never stand that guy.

Eagle of Fire 01-03-2010 09:44 PM

Don't worry Mike... Crosby was a "Canadian hero" way before this game. ;)

Fubb 02-03-2010 02:18 AM

I honestly don't see why, i like people like Iginla more then Crosby :\ Just becaues people like Crosby are to over hyped about, just like Twilight. I still havnt see nthat film :3

I like how in the interview he's so honest though

"What did you think when you scored"

"I don't know i was just shooting" or something along those lines :p

I really like how everyone in my area doesn't care how when our womens hockey team won they were drinking champagne and smoking cigars on the ice Lots of people have made a big deal about that, but honestly, it was already after most people had left the rink :p That how we Manitoban's role.

Ioncannon 02-03-2010 01:38 PM

lol, was dropping my sister off at work and everyone in the parking lot were sitting in their cars listening to the radio (it was 1 min left). Then the US coaches kept calling timeouts (having a heart attack at this point). 24 sec left US get's a goal everyone in the parking lot threw their arms in the air lol. Never been that close to a heart attack XD. Got home in time to see the winning goal.

Eagle of Fire 03-03-2010 04:41 AM

Sorry to tell you, but we broke so many records on those olympic games that there is no way that I will be able to ever feel sorry about your country.

Better luck next time. ;)

_r.u.s.s. 03-03-2010 10:58 AM

i lol at these people who think that "they" broke the reocord, you didn't do anything, someone single person from your country did

This is singularly one of the funniest things I've ever read on this forum.

IT'S FUNNY 'COS IT'S TRUE.

Eagle of Fire 03-03-2010 02:26 PM

That's funny how disappointment can turn people bitter. :p

From where do you think all that money on training the athletes came up? From private subsidies? Yeah right. Our government have special programs for the development's of our athletes, and who pays for that? Me and you, with taxes.

:p

Lulu_Jane 03-03-2010 02:28 PM

I can't be disappointed because I couldn't care less about the winter olympics. I didn't watch them.

Also, your athletes do have private sponsors.

Then you should be lucky that you know how to spell, that you know how to play rugby and that you are located at Canberra, Australia. :)

nope, because normal people don't really care about olympics. like i didn't care when slovakia won gold, like i don't care when canada wins gold

and like your tax which has bought your parlament members a new car made any change on any way how olympic team performed, right

Eagle of Fire 03-03-2010 06:30 PM

Lol. "Normal" people don't care about old DOS games, and "normal" people care deeply about the olympics.

At least around here. ;)

LIES!

Ribon 04-03-2010 08:00 AM

Didn't catch the OT goal. It was already 11pm when the third period started.

I wanted to watch the game till the end when the bloody US scored with just 25 seconds left to go. Argh! Couldn't be arsed, went to bed, woke up in the morning, heard that Canada won, got my coffee and off to school. :p
