Quiz fail!
On the current quiz when you start typing the name of the game, two slightly different formattings of the name pop up and picking one of them tells you you've failed! I feel cheated.
|
Which language version of Abandonia is this happening on?
|
Maybe both versions exist in the database somehow, even if only one is published or something. We (the website updaters) would be to blame in this case. Please bump this in a day once the current quiz has expired (because I can't guess this one), saying the game, and if you're using a translated version of AB as Horseman says.
|
He is. I'm not getting this effect on the English version (just solved the quiz myself).
|
The bug do exist in the english version, it is basically related to games with "the" in the name, like yesterday's game "The Clou" is also in quiz's the database as "Clou, The".
The quit accepts the solution what matches the format of abandonia's reviews. |
These two nodes are the original and the Romanian (I think) translation:
http://www.abandonia.com/en/node/401 http://www.abandonia.com/en/node/16059 They have the same title for most purposes, but internally they don't, somehow. (Updaters and admins who want to verify this can go to "edit game" and start typing "clou" to get suggestions.) Maybe the problem appeared because the title was amended after the translation was created, or something, dunno this CMS is a sick joke. Anyway it's another bug. |
Yeah, I was viewing the English version of the site and the answer to the quiz was The Sting! (Der Clou! 2). Two slightly differently formatted versions of the name appeared and I didn't pick the one the quiz was expecting.

What was the formatting difference?

I checked today, and it seems the bug no longer exist. |
Hmmm... I don't know why, but the system rejected my answer today. I am sure my answer is correct. Maybe a bug?

TODAY'S HINT: I think the bug has to do with the geographic triangular anomaly in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean where a number of aircraft and surface vessels allegedly disappeared under mysterious circumstances. It could also be due to a group of symptoms that collectively indicate or characterize a disease, psychological disorder, or other abnormal condition. I believe the two of those, coupled together, could lead to an answer. PFFFFFFT!:bleh1: |

I have another hypothesis: that lucky bastard pilot was staring at that girl's picture (where? :whistling: Her eyes? Ears? Hair? :mhh: :perv: ) too much!  :hypno: :lust:  Wow! He got lost staring at her... :hihihi: Lost in Space... Or has he lost his mind? :hypno: On the Psychologist's Couch :hide: : Doctor, I am madly in love with that girl's picture. She is so cute, adorable and irresistible. :hypno: Can you help me find my way? |

Yeah, I also got it wrong while it should be right. |

Yes, today's screenshot-quiz is bugged.
I've found the game, checked the picture twice, started to type in the title, chose what the program offered - what was the exact same as in the review, but it says my guess was incorrect. (Thx for the tip on the title Ohne M.) |
