I installed the new Invision 2 earlier this month on my site. I must say it is REAL nice. Me and my assistant admin have grown to like a lot of the new features, thought it costs a good deal to get them all. Just was curious what those of you that have played around with it as well think about it.

I played with it and I must admit that it's really nice. I know that Kosta was playing with IPB2 and tried to convert the IPB 1.3 templates to IPB2 but didn't succeed. This was during the time that you could get it for an unending trial period, which you can't anymore, so I doubt he'll use it now.

I'm curious about these new features of V2 boards. I recently got my own Invision free forum (sign up please... its too quiet in there... go to my site) *ahem* yes well where were we... Oh yes and its pretty cool. Quite similar to these ones, but yeah new features in V2?

Personally I like the SMF forums the best, but these ones are pretty cool. Soooo much better than ezboard ones. phpbb ones are pretty good I reckon.

You do know that the version you're running is an illegit version right? There does not exist something as a 2.0.2 Trial version that allows more than 5000 posts.
The latest trial version that did allow that was 2.0.0.

I'm running IPB2 on my other board too but I think there are plenty of bugs in that version compared to the 1.3 version. If you know how to fix it yourself it's doable but if you want a straight good and fast working solution you're better off with 1.3.

We won't be doing a conversion to 2.0 on abandonia though since it would cost us 70$ a year and we rather spend that kind of money on server costs. :sneaky:
