Hello (again) everyone :)

Hello folks!
It's been more than 10 years since I last logged on, and since I was just helped in regaining access to my account, I've decided to write a short greeting for you all :) Looking forward to reconnecting with the old guard and meeting all the new members!

Take care,
Lightside

Welcome back. This place is a lot quieter than it used to be, though :oh:

Tom Henrik 07-03-2016 10:10 PM

Welcome back, Lightside!

I guess all the stars have aligned at the same time, and us old timers come crawling out of the woodwork again. ;)

Lightside 08-03-2016 09:20 AM

Thanks guys! Yes, it does seem a bit quiet around here, but well, it's good to see that some people are still talking :) Come stai, Tom? It's certainly been a while since we last spoke!

Tom Henrik 08-03-2016 12:00 PM

Not much to report here. I started working as a waiter for Disney World in Florida in 2007, and I am still stuck there.

Apart from that, I am married, have a house, two cats, and started my own website. How about you?

Lightside 08-03-2016 01:10 PM

Sent you a PM to catch up! :)

Japo 08-03-2016 09:19 PM

Notice anything different? XD

I think you must have left before I started being active but welcome!

Good to meet you Japo, and yes, my last login was sometime in 2005, right before I graduated, so a little bit before your time :)

Differences? Yes, I seem to remember quite a few different things, especially in the catalogue (I believe my favourite game, Elvira, was still on the list back then), but I think that in the effort of making the site legit, it is inevitable that some games which lost their abandonware status must be removed!

marko river 09-03-2016 11:21 AM

Yes, we had to remove lot of games. You probably left before our big ESA issue, which which happened very long time ago.

Anyway, I guess we probably met back then but I honestly don't remember :) Welcome back :)

Yeah, I figured as much - but I would much rather have Abandonia open with a few less ESA protected games than have it risking being shut down by overzealous copyright authorities.

Marko! So nice to talk to you again :) how have you been, old friend?

Does that mean we will all be treated to some amazing pasta dishes accompanied by wine? If so, I am all for!

I'll let the others pick the wine, in the meantime I'll whip up some lasagne :OK:

arete 09-03-2016 07:07 PM

Hmmm, how about some ricotta cheese? And will there be cheesecake? Some other form of cheese?

I really love cheese...

Wow! You are all elite. I feel new. hehe Well it is nice not to be so big on the list hehe. It is okay. God of Heaven has his way of rewarding us little people down on the totum. I never feel like I had enough to say for some reason? Always getting into trouble at least that's what it seems like. Welcome back if you are hear. I try to meet all of you. I never was a very social person in my past. Mostly fear of the public. However online you can hide how scummy you are or NOT. hehe I believe in the theory of FATE and DESTINY. I believe no matter what you will always reach your true potential and God does NOT make a mistake. I think? hehe Thank you Jesus Christ.

Dear Capo (not Japo nor Paco :3monkey:).

São Paulo is a cosmopolitan city with gastronomy of various regions and origins.

It would not be different with Italian cuisine, since the Italians and Germans were one of the first immigrants here.

I will confess that the cuisine has undergone changes to suit local tastes, as the original pizza is “different” apart from the Christmas panettone...

Mystvan..... if you come to Houston Texas in a secret location I have a plain bread. I think it is French bread! You are a cool dude and although you may not make it to this side of the residential I suggest you try French bread with Sour Doe or Philladelphia Cream cheese. If you don't have either than try a little oil on the pan and bake the bread lightly on each side until crispy but not burned. Yummy! My mom taught me that.

Greetings, Captien Bible :hero:.

Here in São Paulo there is the “French Bread” aka Pão de Sal. There are also Baguettes, Croissants, etc. Burp! :hungry:

Ah, there is also the famous “Pão de Açúcar” where the corrupt drug traffickers and politicians fatten themselves at the expense of the people...

I hope they get diabetes! :hihihi:

PS: I’ll be there, I’ll be there... by Whitney Houston.

Well it's good to be back! hehe

In Vietnam there is a bread called Vietnamese Sandwich. You can get two kinds. One is from Lee's Sandwich and one is from Hong Kong Market 4. It is a primarily Asian market and shopping area. You should try both. My mom says Lee's Sandwich is light on the meat but Lee's Sandwich coffee is strong and heavy and the best tasting; Well Trung Nguyen is also good but not sweet. There are many other Vietnamese coffee that are good too but we are talking about bread hehe

Anyways don't rush them since everything is prepared right there for you fresh! You know fresh takes time.

Here is with my mom's permission our Pannettone bread. My uncle Diem Vu and his family bought it and gave it special to my mom Huong Thi Vu and my family.

Thank you to my real mom Huong Thi Vu for letting me take the pictures to repay Myst for the beautiful picture.

Just out of curiosity - who are you talking to? The last post before yours was in late 2017. That's called Necroposting on some forums.
