Close Combat II - A Bridge Too Far [SOLD]
still available as a tri pack however..
close combat 1 and 2 are bascially freeware now, theres an on going online commmunity at www.tournamenthouse.com and we distrubt it for free. any cahnce of getting it on this site., ? |
They're pretty large games--both I see are available on Home of the Underdogs.
|
the orginal's wank
BUT: if they are to be uploaded on this site i INSIST that i do the reviews and everything. they arent that big i dont think, if oyu cut out the videos then it will be around 20% of the full size. They can be easily compressed as well or even saved as .ISO files. ive been laying close combat 2 for 7 years now on and off. and the community is stil there. its amazing. close combat 2 is one of the best games eva made imo :kosta: |
Gmm...
WHen it`s such an open cimmunity we need it on the site i think :ok: |
TaloN you will be my god if you upload these games, I've been searching for them a long time now, HotU I forgot they might have it...
|
well im here with the disks next to me if the site wants it,
just gimme the word,. |
Close Combat: A Bridge Too Far [2014]
As I newly found out, Close Combat 2: A Bridge too far seems to be abandonware now.
http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/modul...nload&cid=7 You get on the site posted above. It's really a classic and part of a series that included various great battles of WW2 and modern warfare, too. Best thing is, that you can get a lot of community mods that alter gameplay. Perhaps you can add it to your database :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: |
Its still being sold on a 'budget' label. I bought it for like $5 a few months ago.
|
too bad :(
didn't know that. |

Well that site above seems like it wouldn't have warez... so it kinda seems like abandonware.
EDIT: This is what was on the site for the download Quote:
|
That is why I posted here!

i work with tournamenthouse.com to ane xtent (being an avid CC2 player for 6 years now)
we diecided that hosting CC2 was the only way to keep the online fan base and multiplayer ~(which is what we love cc2 for). there was a big discussion about it and it was diecided to host it at CSO. find the discussion here: http://tournamenthouse.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7913 |
I think this topic needs to be re-adressed, the link is unavailable, the game is hosted on home of the underdogs but thier DL has a critical error making it almost impossible to play on the online community at TH, if you guys could somehow fix the problem to make it flexible enough to add the mods required, and then host it here at your wonderfull site (we are always reffering people to abandionia.com for great free games :ok: ) i can almost garantee full support from the TH community who needs a few more faces around, were only down to about 15 reg players now.
Anyway, please give this some more thought! |
Both Close Combats seem to be on the Underdogs though
|
Unfortunately, we can do no such thing. All the Close Combat games are ESA Protected, and will be for several years to come. As such we can't host them on this site.

Close Combat | 1996 | Microsoft | [REJECTED: ESA]
Close Combat: A Bridge Too Far | 1997 | Microsoft | [REJECTED: ESA] Protected till 2012/2013. |
Moved to: Rejected (Was in: Invalid)
It'll have to wait a while, but a while is far from never. :P |
 Memo to me: Pay attention to what you do.
