Oddworld - Abes Exoddus [GoG]

Could anybody host this for me?

Mad-E-Fact 21-03-2005 05:25 PM

What were the reasons for you not wanting to use bittorrent again?

Sean 21-03-2005 05:42 PM

I cant!

red_avatar 21-03-2005 05:45 PM

I can't use Bittorrent either. Of course I own Abe's Exoddus 3 times so I don't need to for that game ;-). You can do a normal download too though, even though it's slow.

Sean 21-03-2005 05:54 PM

I know i can do a normal download but it takes forever :(

Mad-E-Fact 21-03-2005 05:55 PM

The sooner you start the sooner you have it. ;) Took me a couple of hours to dl it with bt aswell, there's only a few guys who share the file.

Rogue 21-03-2005 06:07 PM

I am not completely sure why, but Abe's games I prefer on consoles.

I am not sure that this game is abanodoned yet. Actualy I'm sure it's not abanodoned.

Actually, it seems to be abandoned. Abe's Oddysee is pretty easy to find, but Exoddus seems to have vanished from stores, as far as I can see. Where did you find it from?

Sean 21-03-2005 06:29 PM

Exodus was a LE bonus game thats why its not in stores anymore =P

Company is still holding the rights to all Ode World material and they just released new game couple months ago. Infogamers was bought by apple, but company which makes all of those games, located in California is still active. You can check their web site, and there was a interview with them on G4 TV last week.

Yobor 21-03-2005 07:22 PM

Yay! I own Abe's Oddysee, but it is for the PS

The company still being active and alive doesn't make the game any less abandoned - the creators don't sell it, and no webstore carries it.

There are other examples of this, like Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, or Micro Machines.

As an answer to the original question of Magic.. sorry, don't have enough bandwith to host it. I'd recommend getting it the old fashioned way, as it's probably a lot faster than waiting for someone to download it first.

Yobor 21-03-2005 07:39 PM

Actually, I am pretty sure I saw it in a gaming store a couple of days ago.

Sean 22-03-2005 12:58 AM

That would be Oddyssey, i bought that already for my PS

Fawfulhasfury 22-03-2005 02:04 AM

I love the oddworld series!! :w00t: But one thing, Underdogs has it for download, and even though I know not all games on their list has been abw, why would they be hosting the game if it wasn't. Or do you suppose they have special permission???

Then provide a link please, rumours of mythical webstores selling software are nice but cannot be used to decide whether or not a game is abandoned.

Well, some of the things on HotU are clearly not abandoned but warez. Which category this one falls into I'm not sure.

The Fifth Horseman 22-03-2005 12:17 PM

ABW = good
W***z = bad

Sean 06-10-2005 03:35 PM

Hey

Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus

Any chance of getting that up on Abandonia?

If so, I'd be happy to review it.

Tom Henrik 06-10-2005 03:43 PM

Nope. GT Interactive are members of ESA.
