Favourite member!

Since a lot of topics have revolved around competitons lately. I thought I would make a new one. I want to make a list over the 10 most popular members on the site.

Here are the rules:

1. ONLY members are allowed to vote.
(This is to prevent people from logging out and voting several times).
2. You may only vote once!
3. Voting is done by sending me a PM with your list. At least 5 names must be mentioned, and no more than 10 names maximum.
4. Explain why you have these members on your list.
5. Voting for yourself is illegal!
6. You CAN vote for Kosta

This topic will run for some time allowing a lot of members to cast their votes.

Of course there will be prizes to the winners :D

Tom Henrik 10-07-2004 01:14 PM

FreeFreddy can't be the only one out there with an oppinion...
C'mon. Let your voices be heard :D

Tom Henrik 10-07-2004 02:05 PM

I have decided to make a point based competition of these votes.

You other europeans out there might reckognize this from EuroVision, for instance.

Here goes!

1. place = 12 points
2. place = 10 points
3. place = 8 points
4. place = 7 points
5. place = 6 points
6. place = 5 points
7. place = 4 points
8. place = 3 points
9. place = 2 points
10. place = 1 point

So remember to make a note of which place your votes have :D

Omuletzu 10-07-2004 02:06 PM

Bah vote for me because i want the prize  :P

Tom Henrik 10-07-2004 02:36 PM

Just to give you a taste of what it looks like for the moment.

1. place ************* 32 points
2. place ************* 24 points
3. place ************* 18 points
4. place ************* 15 points
5. place ************* 13 points

7. place ************* 8 points
8. place ************* 7 points
9. place ************* 6 points
10. place ************ 5 points
11. place ************ 4 points

The reason why I do not give out the names is because I don't want you to think thoughts like "Oh poor John Smith who only have 4 points  ... I'll give him some more points..."

But you can see that there are a great competition going on, and a close race indeed.

And Omuletzu... You are somewhere in this list :D

Omuletzu 10-07-2004 02:44 PM

To vote for someone, it's enough that you know of 5 members.
Just remember to give the reasons why these guys should be nominated!

Danny252 12-07-2004 04:28 PM

wow 6 more votes
for me
:P

Kiddiarni 13-07-2004 10:39 PM

lol..*whispers* Danny is a dreamer...

FreeFreddy 14-07-2004 05:51 AM

What is now with this vote? Is it no more available, now since Tom is away?

The Niles 14-07-2004 10:34 AM

This was Tom's brainchild and Tom is the one you had to PM. I have no knowledge of who has gotten how many votes and I doubt Kosta does either. I think we will have to wait until Tom has a permanent internet connection again before this will go any further.

Omuletzu 14-07-2004 10:55 AM

I think Kosta took over that... so be sure to write good things about him in your vote :P

Kosta 14-07-2004 11:12 AM

heheh, actually I didn't. I am curious, but I will also try and keep the voting fair. Tom will drop by every now and then so I guess we'll see the results soon enough :)

Tom Henrik 14-07-2004 04:06 PM

The competition is still running. There are a lot of members out there who still have not voted. So I will keep the competiton open for a while longer.

The race is real tight now. There are a couple of candidates that are fighting over the number 1 spot.

To all you members who have not voted: Get a move on!

Tom Henrik 14-07-2004 04:59 PM

These are the votes so far...

1. ******** 50
2. ******** 48
3. ******** 31
4. ******** 22
5. ******** 19
6. ******** 17
7. ******** 16
8. ******** 15
9. ******** 10
10. ******* 8
11. ******* 7
12. ******* 5
13. ******* 4
14. ******* 3
15. ******* 1

So you can see that there have been some new entries into the race as well.

Tom Henrik 17-07-2004 10:56 AM

It's been a while since anyone have voted. So unless a new vote comes in in the next few days, I will stop the competition and reveal the outcome.

8)

Durak 17-07-2004 12:56 PM

I didn't vote since I haven't been here long enough to make valid opinions.

Data 19-07-2004 08:36 AM

What will you with the results ?

Tom Henrik 19-07-2004 03:16 PM

@ Data

This is just for fun.
There will be prizes as mentioned before, but mainly this topic is just for fun :P

@ The rest of the forum.
If I do not get any votes PM'ed to me before midnight tonight CET, I will post the results. :)

Tom Henrik 23-07-2004 09:53 PM

This competition is now officially closed.

The results will arrive shortly.
(That is to say on tuesday... when I get back my old laptop with all the files on it).

Danny252 24-07-2004 09:08 AM

whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?
I'll be away then and you can't promote me to super-guy
waaaaaaaaaaarghh
buuhuu

Tom Henrik 24-07-2004 09:59 AM

Sorry about that, but I had to send my old laptop in for some repairs... and the repair-guy is incredibly slow!

FreeFreddy 26-07-2004 07:16 AM

We'll see, when the votes arrive and he's the top voted one, what you said may be true. But either way, he could be just that popular...

Tom Henrik 26-07-2004 03:32 PM

Thanks a lot for your trust...

It really warms my heart to see that you two have so much faith in me...

Omuletzu 26-07-2004 04:27 PM

Kiddiarni 26-07-2004 06:27 PM

I didn't know that trying to talk little around to make the site not so entirely serious but making bit more fun to post could be considered as spamming... :?
But when you think so... I'll try to be only serious and not understanding any fun and jokes any more from now on.

Glad no one voted for me because it's better to be unknown to be considered a spammer =)

Durak 28-07-2004 12:33 PM

Got that again when trying to post in other forums.

Kiddiarni 28-07-2004 12:57 PM

happens sometimes when i post also...

Tom Henrik 29-07-2004 12:13 AM

All the reasons above are quotes taken from the guys who voted for you. Kosta and I have not voted, since we had access to the competition the whole time.

And if I get my way... EVERYONE named in that list will get a prize.

Omuletzu 29-07-2004 11:23 AM

Tom Henrik 29-07-2004 02:17 PM

I was surprised as well.

But I figured that all the reasons should count just as much, even if some of them was strange or downright silly
This competition was about the most popular, and popularity can express itself in many ways.

What I didn't get was why I was Master of the Dead :?

Titan 29-07-2004 08:15 PM

Maybe it's because abandonware games are all dead and you are the master of abandonware games so you are the master of the dead games.

Omuletzu 30-07-2004 08:34 AM

Or maybe you are Master of The Dead! Maybe you live in a graveyard, you hang out all night with the zombies.
How could we know  ? Maybe it is true :wow:

:pissed::whipped:

Braindead 30-07-2004 10:12 AM

nah I'm master of the dead, hence my nickname ;)

- He spammed.

:|

and nothing for my morale-keeping?
Nothing for my.. umm.. sorta useless help?
NOTHING FOR SETTLERS 2 GOLD?

Useless.
so who did vote for me?

Tom Henrik 31-07-2004 11:44 PM

Are you back on English soil again?
I thought you were with your family in Sweden...

Kiddiarni 01-08-2004 06:09 PM

Why should he want to go to Sweden???

Maikel 01-08-2004 10:46 PM

I can be wrong. But I would guess to visit family ;)

Danny252 02-08-2004 10:05 AM

god! is there some strange lack of intelligence for some reason?
I went to summer camp for a week.

in 2 weeks I will go to denmark for 4 or so days and then spend the rest of 2 weeks in sweden.

lalala...

Durak 02-08-2004 01:49 PM

...and you expected us to know that?

Danny252 02-08-2004 05:50 PM

I never said I was going to sweden last week..

and why did only 1 person vote for me? I, am like, the most ancient guy, apart from Kosta and titan, here.

I still remember when sim-farm was uploaded, we had no forum, and there was som wierd uploader called checkboxG, and we started a daily upload routine.

I uploaded s2G...

Tom Henrik 02-08-2004 06:01 PM

Well... maybe it is, because at the time I made the topic, you were not a big part of the site :?

I hope you didn't get offended by this.

Durak 02-08-2004 06:40 PM

hey, I wasn't voted for and I'm awesome =). Don't really pay much attention too it, I know it doesn't matter. (because I'm too awesome to be voted for...:D)

Edit: Never thought my 100th post would be about how awesome I am...how times have I said awesome? Four including the last awesome? Er...five now?

Maikel 02-08-2004 07:06 PM

Why you shouldn't get many votes??

You're still one of the most active on the forum

Iron_Scarecrow 10-11-2004 08:22 AM

Yeah but that doesn't mean I'm liked very much. I don't know I just always assume people don't like me, cause then if I find out they actually don't it ain't as hard on the self esteem.

Omuletzu 10-11-2004 10:56 AM

Yeah i also think we shouldn't make a new poll, because i have been offline a long period of time, and people won't vote for me :)

 :eeeeeh:

But actually, if you're really that interested in it, it could be not that bad idea... (btw we could need a smile that would be bound to a "hmm, thinking")

wormpaul 10-11-2004 12:30 PM

I love to see a new poll in it..

But who decided who can get vote`s???

Unknown Hero 10-11-2004 07:40 PM

@Freddy
I will sugest to Tom that only members and Vips can be voted for! I wont let you win this one!

Rogue 10-11-2004 07:57 PM

There should be couple of groups of pools, like most helpfull member, favorite member, funny, most promissing member etc...

Why not make it interesting, so that more people get 'awards' (just a sign for next 6 months next to their name) and then have a votes again in next six months (ot a year)... There also should be date set for a vote (like from - to)

It might be interesting to see how much different voting will be. :D

Sebatianos 10-11-2004 08:11 PM

We'd just have to make sure, that there would be no hard feelings. That's just too much competition. And I guess girls would have an unfair advantige!!!

Yeah, but they also have a need not to feel less than others.
And a tendency to hold a grudge.

Besides - I'd win anyway :bleh: :tomato:

Very good idea! Contribute! I'm busy, but I still wont let down cro abandonia (www.abandonia.com/hr)! :ok:
I must admit that Sebatianos contributed more than me in these few days that he is on site! (I mean in filesize definetly, and in games, too!)

No, but seriously folks, I don't think such polls are a good idea. We're all members of something good here. There's really no need to compete.
It takes all our effords to keep this site going and just one - without the support of the others, could not keep this up.

Kosta :kosta: started it, but not even he alone could keep this up for so long.
So let's  and enjoy what we have. Let's not spoil it.

Unknown Hero 10-11-2004 09:12 PM

You should let anyone vote for everybody. And in period of a month (more/less) collect votes and close voting and make list of first...I don't know....maybe 20!

Sebatianos 10-11-2004 09:13 PM

Who to put up?
I think people with over 5 posts per day average.
That way it would really be only those who are a bit more active.
Can you just press search for that, or would you have to go through everybody's profile and take a look?

@ Wael & co.
Yesterday I left without electric power! :ranting:
So much about croatia and EU!!! :pissed:

FreeFreddy 11-11-2004 08:49 AM

Ok, people. You can send your votes to me through PM now. I'll collect and count them together and leave members out with less than 10 posts, either those that are voting or those voted for. So only active enough ones can be counted and can vote.
Let's say, you can place 2 votes:

1. Usual members, VIP's belong there too
2. Admins, as they are special ones...

Up to 20 best votes will be counted, number 1 the best, number 20 the last.
You can vote only 1 time. Any repeated votes from the same member won't be counted. You could also, if you would like to, write your explanation about why you chose the two people.
Let Mortal Kombat begin! :sneaky:

Unknown Hero 11-11-2004 08:51 AM

But then we had less members too, and they were more known then. Now there're many members and they almost all can vote. Many votes come out this way, so I assume it would be enough, hm? *thinking*
Btw., this vote will be held for one month, beginning with this day. I guess this would be enough time for all to place their votes.
The 20 most voted members will be the winners.

Iron_Scarecrow 11-11-2004 10:26 AM

FreeFreddy 11-11-2004 01:24 PM

Well, I think 1 month is enough for everyone to send in his / her vote. But if everyone would like to, the results of the vote can be presented earlier, as long as it'll be clear that no new votes would arrive anymore.

Btw., on suggestion of TheVoid you can now place 4 votes. 1 for regular member / VIP, 1 for an admin and 2 you can choose whom you would like to. Sorry that I didn't clean out the things earlier, I'm just not as clever as Tom and didn't think on it enough.
Anyone who sent his 2 votes already can send 2 additional now if he would like to.

You haven't offended me, its just that I find it ennerving that people have such a wrong mental picture of Israel.
You can't judge Israel until you've walked through the ancient streets of Jerusalem and talking to the people there, jews and arabs.
Or when you've stood in the grand plaza in front of the Western Wall will the Dome of the Rock looming up behind it.

You can't judge the country un til you've spent a night in the sprawling city of Tel Aviv, visiting themed bars and restaurants or one of the truelly gigantic dancings.

For example did you know that in Tel Aviv the biggest gay dancing is located?
Its main frequenters are arabs (a lot of them palestinians) who fled their homes out of fear because of their nature. To them this Zionist entity is a beacon of hope.

I myself have visited the Gaza Strip a few years ago (in a time of relative peace)
together with my family in Israel. My own parents don't know I drank tea near the harbour of Gaza City.

So I think before you go judge countries you should atleast have been there, or studied its history and people.

Quote:

I would like to visit Egypt and pyramids.
I spent my vacation in Egypt last year.
I suggest that, if you do plan on going, go to a hotel in the Sinai, next to the Red Sea.
It is quite a while away from Cairo (to get to Cairo at sunrise you must take a bus at around 23:00 the day before)
I suggest the tourist-city of Sharm El Sheikh. Thats where the big luxury hotels are.
The city is a complete fake and most of the older hotels were constructed by Israel when Israel still owned the Sinai.
But to stay in Cairo is not only uncomfortable, but also dangerous to your health.

When I arrived with the bus in Cairo most people were watching the streetscenes with open mouth.
It was pure chaos, there were trucks filled with misc. animal parts in a traffic jam.
The smell of rotting flesh in the early sun stank to high heaven.
There was a small canal filled with garbage, you couldn't see the water anymore!
The buildings were ghastly and very unsafe and in between them there were fields people used to grow their own food.

All this shrouded in a thick smog of gas and a smell of sewage. it was really a sight to behold once and never to see again.

The pyramids themselves are amazing.
When you arrive you can barely see whats in front of you due to the smog and such.
But after an hour or so the smog starts lifting.

I remember getting off the bus and asking where the pyramids were, I just saw one big block.
Slowly the smog started lifting and the sun began to rise higher and eventually you saw this huge towering Pyramide in front of you.

Its really amazing... until the merchants come.
They'll pull at your clothes to get your attention so they can sell you postcards.
Men with camels will literaly push you unto a camel and then demand rediculous prices for a camelride you didn't even want!

Even policemen will tell you to follow them so they can show you some things.
While this does give you access to some sites not viewable to the public (they are closed off with barred fences and only the policemen at the site have they keys) it will cost you afterwards when they start pleading for more money to feed their families.

And often the amazing panorama of the pyramids are disturbed by the ghastly skyline of the brown city at the background.

The Sfynx is very nice (yet quite small in retrospec) but it isn't worth paying for to gain closer entry.
You just get leaded into an obvious recreation of a temple and then the guides claim it was found in the condition it is in now (which is obviously a lie)

To get an all-inclusif and safe tour through the city you must take the bustour (the planes are too unsafe, one plane travelling from the Sharm el Sheikh airport to Cairo crashed the day I returned to belgium) plus the tour also includes a meal at a good restaurant (many of the restaurants in Egypt are very unhealthy)
But sadly after the pyramids and a visit to the Museum of Archeology the guide rambles on and on about the greatness of their former president Nasser and his great achievements like the building of the Aswan Dam and his unification of muslim countries in a war against Israel (which they eventually lost)

The tour of Cairo eventually ends in a plaza near one of the oldest and most famous Mosque and 'College' of Egypt. I don't need to tell you this is a highly fanatical area.
You can join the other tourists in a bar serving tea and Baklava but you'll hace to beat the beggars off with a stick (they really come in swarms... try not to look too wealthy)
Or you canb rowse the bazar... but look out for pickpockets since the bazar is packed with people.

I'll PM you a few photos of my trip to Egypt.

oh and one last thing: in the hotels, when ordering water ALWAYS ask for bottled water. since they'll often try to give you a big glass with simple tapwater. While this water is probably okay, us westerners are not used to it at all and you'll probably get sick a bit after drinking it

Anyway, this is off topic.

I don't know if this board supports option to make two topics out of this one (it would be nice to separate discussions).

Thanks strrogy for very detailed info. I would like to see these photos.

I would be more interested to be part of archeological team, but today that's out of the question.

I know you must have felt terrible as they spoke against your country, but occupation of foreign countries land never brings popularity. Just check today’s USA status, after occupation of IRAQ. (with this we are even more :ot: )

I think that there is much more to see in Egypt then pyramids, but I might be wrong.

And as for Sfynx, its face got partially destroyed at beginning of ottoman occupation of Egypt, as Islam does not allot representation of face to be on picture or on the sculpture (this is what they taught us in the school back in Bosnia). I am very grateful that ottomans did not destroy grave plates (known as stechci) from the time of Bosnian Kingdom back in my country, as these contained a lot of sculptures of a faces.

Did you have a chance to go to southern Egypt?

:adminpower: that's why!

Iron_Scarecrow 12-11-2004 10:26 PM

There are only 5 or so admins aren't there?
If we all have to vote for at least one, then theres a very good chance they'll get on the list. It's just a cheap way of getting votes.

Kosta 12-11-2004 10:28 PM

Hm, I actually understood there will be 3 lists in the end. Admin top list, VIP top list, and others top list... but perhaps I just misunderstood

Havell 12-11-2004 10:28 PM

To solve this there could be a separate table for admins, besides, two of my people were admins anyway.

Iron_Scarecrow 12-11-2004 10:31 PM

Even if there are different catagories, it's still a cheap way of getting votes. There would have to be at least one person who would rather not vote for a admin, but you have now forced it on them to vote for one.

Well if there are separate tables, its not cheating. Its just a matter of knowing who the most popular admin is. That will be separated from the second list of "regular" members, so votes for admins will not be included there.

Anyways, sent in my votes.... and none were for you because you nag too much :P :adminpower:

OK, MAGIC!!!
Quote means that you repeat something somebody else said - and you repeat it exactly the way that person said it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Miss-quote me again and I'll :boxing: your young little @$$!!!!!!!!!!

You can just look back a few pages!!!

Sean 12-11-2004 11:02 PM

Well actually that is wrong.

A Quotation is when you repeat what somebody says without editing.
A Quote is an abbrevation that's not actually in my dictionary (it is dated tho)

Sebatianos 12-11-2004 11:05 PM

No, and no one ever will. There are no information about that (I kicked him into another reality)!

Sean 12-11-2004 11:08 PM

Yes i do...

its

Number 1,
Whitehouse
Washington DC
USA

If thats wrong im british and im tired....

Havell 12-11-2004 11:12 PM

I believe the Whitehouse is number 28 or something stupid like that (being in the centre of the road).

Hey Havell, noce to see your old Avatar back! I missed it :rifle: (and still no hit).

Iron_Scarecrow 12-11-2004 11:15 PM

What was the avatar you were using before now.

Sean 12-11-2004 11:16 PM

George W Bush can't be blamed for anything.

The I-D-I-O-T is not smart enough to make any of his own decisions.
He is the public figurehead his advisors make all his decisions.
And there as thick as me...

Havell 12-11-2004 11:20 PM

When I lost VIP status i switched back to my old old of Manny Calavera, I then switched to the guy pointing a gun at a cat.

Iron_Scarecrow 12-11-2004 11:29 PM

Ahhh yes I remember now.

Sean 12-11-2004 11:34 PM

:ot:

Iron_Scarecrow 12-11-2004 11:39 PM

Stop complaining Magic, you do it yourself.

FreeFreddy 12-11-2004 11:39 PM

Exactly. Therefore I'll lock it now until the votes arrive. And btw., the list will be splitted, of course. Admins and usual members will have their separate vote numbers.

FreeFreddy 14-11-2004 08:23 PM

Well, seeing as no one intends to send his votes in anymore, I'll present the results somewhere in the middle of the coming week, probably at the weekend. So if you still wish to send them, hurry up! ;)

FreeFreddy 21-11-2004 12:28 PM

So, people. The time has come. Feel the smash of the hammer and see the votes! :D
The votes will be presented beginning with the most voted member, ending with the one least voted for. And no, I didn't cheat, my word on it.

Admins

FreeFreddy - 8 (sweetest guy I know of, true friend, he da best. Good guy, good spammer. He has always been a great help to this site, and he still is)

Tom Henrik - 7 (he's a Wunderkind. Good, polite, helpful friend. Absolute a good guy. Gives answers very quick by PM and it was very helpful to me in the past. For generally getting this site really active, until Tom came along updates were quite rare and the site was fizzling out but he started it up again. He's my favorite member. He is a big help to the site and deserves the best-member award)

Kosta - 5 (Because he's a god. Just a good guy... For creating such a brilliant website :D . Nice unix related questions ;))

The Picard - 3 (He has been with the site for a long time, and is always ready to help out to the best of his efforts. As he's my captian)

Titan - 1

Maikel - 1 (For doing a great job with the site redesign.)

Regulars

Sebatianos - 4 (cuz in little time he's here, he suplied many games (and reviewed also), he is from Slovenia, he's half dalmatian (croatian). He only just arrived but has been very active and has already started to add good games to the site and he is a nice person.)

Unknown Hero - 4

Stroggy - 3 (His sarcasm is funny.)

TheVoid - 3 (Alberto is a good friendo, He is cool. Cool friend. He is everywhere, and his posts are usually very informative and helpful. Most of the times they are also great fun to read. Also, he is the only competition I have when it comes to being perfect..)

Wendymaree - 3 (She is the friendliest person in the whole of Abandonia. She has done so much for this site, by reviewing, uploading and helping out in general.)

Puffin - 2 (She's my best friend, I know her for long time already.)

Wormpaul - 2

Kon Tiki - 2 (Very silent member but is making a lot and good reviews of the games...)

RHavell - 1

Magic - 1

Durak - 1 (For the link back from forum to game idea.)

Ok, that's it. Not many votes as you can see... Well, don't fight because of the places and have fun! :ok:

Stroggy 21-11-2004 12:38 PM

Thanks to all who voted (not just for me)
I myself didn't vote, ask me again in a few months once I get to know everyone better.

Tom Henrik 21-11-2004 01:07 PM

I see I have to make some changes here...

First you overtake my post-count, and now you slipped past me in popularity as well.... :ok:

FreeFreddy 21-11-2004 01:26 PM

Oh, excuse me. I actually awaited you to be the most voted...
I guess I'll have to watch out once you'll finish your university... :D

Havell 21-11-2004 01:31 PM

Funny how in both cases the person who organised the vote won

Anyway, I got a vote! :w00t:

Well, like I said above, I didn't cheat. So indeed, that's little funny, but not that suprising. Only that I didn't await so many of them for me. Thank you all, people. Trying to remain like that. ;)

Unknown Hero 21-11-2004 02:03 PM

I'm (almost) first!!!!! :tnx: :tnx:
Will Sebatianos and me get free trip to Croatia???

TheVoid 21-11-2004 02:07 PM

I expected Puffin to get more votes though......

@ Unknow Hero: Congrats! You have won a free trip to the beautiful city of Split. Have fun and enjoy :ok:

JK didnt vote at all..

Sebatianos 21-11-2004 08:35 PM

Thank you all for your votes. I really didn't deserve it, but I'm glad you disagree.

@Hero - forget the free trip you cheapskate. Let's just meet in Zagreb (you'll have the longer way then me though :bleh: ).
Congratulations to everybody else who got a vote (and even if you didn't get any votes - I still respect you - ALL THE REGULAR MEMBERS OF THE SITE).
Now let's

Fawfulhasfury 21-11-2004 09:47 PM

I actually voted for Magic and Sebationos, and Hero, and Tom Henrik.

rainwife 21-11-2004 10:57 PM

Well, I was in Germany for two weeks and I didn't know that there was a voting... But I think we all know, for whom I would vote

Unknown Hero 21-11-2004 11:07 PM

For Freddy?

Puffin 21-11-2004 11:14 PM

Maybe Sebatianos? They do live together... so...

;)

Unknown Hero 21-11-2004 11:15 PM

Who live together?? Sebatianos and rainwife?

EDIT: *goes look at rainwife's profile*

Ah, yeah, you right! :ok:

Fawfulhasfury 21-11-2004 11:27 PM

wouldn't anyone vote for me?
I ain't kiddin. This hit me hard. I mean, I was at least expecting one vote, but no. :ranting:

Unknown Hero 21-11-2004 11:51 PM

Ok, I will vote for you in next voteing maybe!

Fawfulhasfury 21-11-2004 11:56 PM

Don't want a vote out of sympathy.

Fawfulhasfury 22-11-2004 12:03 AM

And what does Seb mean by REGULAR. Is that supposed ta be an emphasis toward something. You weren't calling the non-voted, losers were you. :ranting:
Oh, what am I whining about. I should be happy for you guys. I'm sorry. :(
In honor of the winners, I have sent in four good games to Tom, with permission, in celebration.

Oh well, seems like I'm not popular... Hey, nothing new!

wendymaree 22-11-2004 02:05 AM

Fawfulhasfury and Eagle Of Fire, in all sincerity you're both popular with me...and not just with me. You're both terrific.

evilded 22-11-2004 04:12 AM

I for my part expected that. Either many weren't interested to vote, ignored / didn't see the thread or they didn't know the members here well - many not really active members here, after all. So you sure there should be next voting action again? I doubt it would be even better than this one here...

Iron_Scarecrow 22-11-2004 08:43 AM

Well if you decide to have another one. Should wait at least a month I think. I will vote next time.

wormpaul 22-11-2004 09:19 AM

Or till we got 900 or 1000 members :ok:

Fawfulhasfury 22-11-2004 04:17 PM

wendy, thanks. but I don't need the sympathy anymore. Not getting a vote happened on the wrong day that's all. You see, my cat, Pepper, died, and I got pretty sentimental that day. Congrats to everybody!

No no, not the poeple who didn't get votes - the people who didn't vote.
I think just being a part of something like abandonia is a reward in itself.
As I said from the begingng on - I was against such a competition, because it can be unfair to some people.
So respect to all who make abandonia what it is - you're included!

FreeFreddy 23-11-2004 12:14 PM

Well, we could start another try on voting, to have more fair results this time... Don't expect me on taking them over now, though. We write two exams in school, one this Friday and one next Friday, so I'll have to learn (good excuse, hm?)
