LOL :tai: :D |
no one wants to comment *sobs* ah well i am but a newbee spammer after all
whoa, im now a nerd,, woooooo whoa tech wizz, amaaaaazing.. |
Well I'm going to be honest: I like vodka.
Every sunday we eat fish at noon and it isn't complete until my dad pulls out the bottle of Wyborowa Vodka. |
I like vodka, but I hate mixing it with anything else. And I usually have to have a couple of beers to be able to drink the vodka
My favourite beer is Carlsberg and Grolsch. Guinness is good if I'm in the right mood. Captain Morgan is good! I have a bottle of it waiting to be opened tonight... |
Black Russian is my favorite drink! But it's much to expensive to drink on a regular basis... and I have a very limited stock of Vodka and Kahlua at home... So my second favorite would be Port, preferable LBV's and Vitages! :ok:
But in reality it boils down to the fact that I pretty much drink everything that contains alcohol :P |
I forgot to mention gin and tonic. I've only tried it once, recently. I really like it!!! :)
The only alcoholic drink i've tried and didn't like was Tuborg beer. Eeeeeeeew :eeeeeh: |
You like carlsberg, but not tuborg? They're pretty similar in my opinion. I'm mostly a beer guy myself, but if I have to name a drink that I like, I'd go with white russian.
I'm also going to have to agree with all the people who like vodka. I really like ice cold stolichnaya. |
Quote:
Tuborg is more.. flat.. than Carlsberg. Seriously, one sip of Tuborg and I feel queasy. Disgusting, in my opinion. Carslberg on the other hand... :) |
My favorite, sorry Reup, is a White Russian.
Milk + Vodka + Kahlua = :w00t: Hard to find Kahlua here in the UK, so I make my own. |
Well, maybe you get some different stuff on Iceland or sonething, because the general concensus around here is that they're very similar. But I have to agree with you on grolsch, it's definitely a very good beer (and the bottles are just so cool :)).
And if tuborg is the only alcoholic drink that you didn't like, I'm guessing you never tried stroh rum. That has to be the nastiest stuff I've ever tasted, and it has an alcohol percentage of 80. |
Quote:
I usually just buy the same stuff... Haven't been much in the vodka lately, though. Had a nasty experience with it  |
Isn't alcohol obscenely expensive in Iceland? I remember going there on a class trip in the 9th grade, and my alcoholic teacher was ecstatic when he found a carlsberg elephant beer for 55 kroner (7-8 USD). :D
EDIT: spelling. |
My favourite beers are Duvel and De Koninck
|
Drambuie, with ice or straight. The only problem is that it is too expensive for my wallet now. So, when I drink (rarely) I prefer either a Miller, or Foster's. In the rare occasion I can find a good one I also like very much red wine.
|
Quote:
If you buy a drink at a bar, the glass of beer costs 6,3 - 7,3€. Pack of cigs costs 6,2€. |
i drink a turkish spirit named : Raki (greek version = Ouzo)
its an aniseed spirit and i love it :) |
Quote:
@Talon: Raki is also very nice :) or çok güzel as the Turks would say! @self: Damn I look like an alcoholic... oh well. |
Mmmmmm Woodstocks, can't get much better.
For beer I haven't tried very many but so far my favourite would be James Boag. |
Non-Alcoholic: Bundaberg Ginger Beer, i'm addicted to this stuff
http://www.sodapopstop.com/images/pr.../large_126.jpg Alcoholic: Tooheys Old, the finest ale Australia has to offer http://australian-food.com/images/products/beer/old.jpg keep your spirits, i'm a beer man, i've got my gut, my beard and my beer, i'm as Aussie as you can get :D |
Toohey's new is probably the worst beer I've ever tasted, my brother buy it all the time though cause its the cheapest. Sometimes it nearly makes me sick.
|
Tooheys New is horrible yes..... its like... watered down urine...
but Tooheys Old and Tooheys Extra Dry are fantastic  |
Ouzo is not the greek version of Raki. They are a bit similar but different in taste drinks. Raki is apart from a turkish drink also a greek drink (though don't know and don't care who made it first) that you can find in greece.
|
i return after sleep with a very minamall hangover to find.... vodka in the lead, hooray, people of taste an distinction. an this raki thing, is it the same as rakir a bulgarian spirit that those crazy bulgars distill up 2 90 percent sometimes? and im willing to bet they belive they came up with first...
beer wise im a grolsch man :tomato: |

I have to say that I'm not too fond of wine or beer. I don't drink that much but but favourite drinks are Tia Maria, Calvados and Benedictine (expensive tastes? me?).
|
benadictine!!! OMG it tastes like medicine tho!
|
It's good stuff (I always rather liked the taste of medicine, btw ) we always pick up a bottle or two whenever we go to France.
|
Jack Daniels for me. First time i drank it it tasted like nothing but a bunch of chemicals. It was like drinking battery acid.
Still finished the bottle though. And now it's my preffered choice. |

|
My favourite alcoholic is the rhum from Martinica... so pure and so strong!
I like also the Malib?, someone knows it? Is a sweet coconut liqueur, sometimes used to prepare the pina-colada... |
i drank a bottle o malibu neat once an it made me chuck, i cant even smell the stuff now.... i stick to mah voddy, gin, n beer remeber folks gin is a mans drink, it makes ya mean!
|
my favorite drink hmmmmm kool-aid
oh but really well i havent tried much because well age but.....ummm vodka is de best cause I sure as hell dont need much to feel the effect |
There is still a bottle of vodka from during the soviet era (has a hammer and sickle on it, too) its from the early 80s I think... I wonder if its still drinkable.
|
have a sip stroggy, soviet produced vodka ruuuuuules!
|
Haven't had a lot of drinks so far, but the one that I like that I have drinken, has been Smirnoff Ice, good stuff.
|
Still 4 years untill I can drink without breaking the laws
|
your 14???? whoa, amazing.
|
Gin, Vodka or Rum. Straight of course.
|
Quote:
|
so in iceland not only do u hafta pay extortionate prices for alchahol u also hafta be 21 to drink, that bites!
|
Heh where I live you only have to be 18 to start drinking, not like if I go down to the states, where I still can't drink.
|
england has its bonuses :ok:
|
Have to at least 5 (yes FIVE) to drink at home LOL then it's 14 to drink in a restaurant with a meal and 18 to buy alcohol in the shops or drink it in a bar.
|
5!! wow, i dint know that, so u can drink at 5 an maybe do yourself premeture liver damage, but u cant smoke untill you are 16?? amazing, another thing about british law that has always confused me....and mister r havell u seem to be the expert on this so please ponder it with your brain so knowledgeable on the british
legal system, how come we can have sex at 16 but we arnt allowed to watch it on vidio,(well dvd these days) untill we are 18? seems a little odd to me.. |
Quote:
Also, the being able to drink at 5 law has caused problems, with stupid parents who give their toddlers a bottle of whiskey and then wonder why it dies of alcohol poisoning :tai: |
you are probably right, but i just thought o something my mum said when i asked her years ago, she said "yes darling you can have sex at 16 but your hardly likely to have a mass orgy full of triple penetration an giant black mambas"
i ran away blushing! |
HA HAHAHA LOL
|
I mostly drink red wine and cola, or how it would be called - bambus...
|
I like what ever i can get my hands on :w00t:
Beer, vodka, brandy, gin, wine and sherry  Well i am only 14 LOL and i do like brandy and vodka mixed  |
Quote:

He he hehe :P

There is nothing better than a '99 Chateau l'Église-Clinet. I once had the opportunity to get a bottle and payed a small wealth for it. Someday I could let me carry away to that again. ^_^
|
Quote:
anyway, back on topic. Another drink i've always enjoyed is Tia Maria. I first drank it in a small shop on Tenerife, near the Drago Millenario (famous tree in Tenerife) |
I think o m g hit the nail on the head there (no pun intended) - there's a big difference between the 'sex' prtrayed in porn and the sex actual people have with each other in real life. besides, mainstream films which feature sexual content rarely have an 18 rating simply because of that - most are a 15 cert, and some 12s have sexual content - Titanic, for instance, is a 12 certificate IIRC.
I'm a red wine drinker myself, and occasional g & t's. I also like real ales, particularly a nice Belgian trappist bottle-conditioned beer. yum. |
I'm very picky when it comes to wines. I usually prefer red wines, but I think a lot of them taste too much like cork
|

Here's another favourite of mine. It's called the "Monkey Grog". Mix it like this:
1 cl white rum 2 cl brown rum 1 cl terpentine 1 cl kerosine 2 cl propylene glycole 1 cl battery acid 1 cl red paint Mix up, stirr and shake well. Then drink quickly, before the mug vanishes. NOTE: don't try this at home. the mixture may be quite explosive... else send some photos when drinking this very special grog :tease: |
Well, I don'r really drink alcho, but if I have to, then I drink malibu+cola. (I cannot drink beer or vine)
|
I am whiskey addict :Titan:
If non-alcoholic, nothing beats old,good tea.(especially black one) :D |
If non alchoholic: my fave is Canada Dry carbonated water. Second fave: A&W root beer.
|
Quote:

ahahahahahahah. LOL, gettin back an readin dis is well cheerfull! :w00t: |
Quote:
with a definate bias towards vodka (hooray) gin catching up an rakeir seems to be in third (unless some else says they like jack daniels) i could make a poll but i prefer the human touch :max: |
Heh Monkey Grog, I wonder if someone has actually tried to make that drink out of curiosity, wouldn't be surprised.
|
All this talking about "good beers" from people who obviously never drank one... :P ;)
Flensburger, pure and simple. For more "dire" needs, nothing beats a classical screwdriver... |
Well if we are talking non alcaholic you can't beat Pepsi. :D
|
unless you got a big stick, ahh non alchaholic, noooooooooooooo
as for beer grolsch , stella arois or zagorka, aint tryd no german beers, only driven through it, dint stop, nice roads tho. |
I'nteresting that I'mtyping this up in a state of inebriation. For beer, which I detest, I'd have to say Lucky Lager, because of it's obscene cheapness. I'll drink anything straight, as long as it meets my requirements of being at, or over, 40%.
|
Quote:
Mwuhaha, in Denmark you're allowed to buy alcohol when you're 16. Not that it really matters to me, since I'm 24. I'm guessing you Icelanders have your own ways to get around that particular law, though. |
In Croatia, you're allowed to buy alcohol when you are 18, but I buy it anytime, because no one asks how old you are when you're buying alcohol.
|
Cap'n Morgan's Spiced Rum and Sanguinello (Blood Orange Juice). Oh yes.
Aside from that, most Weissbier is far nicer than lagers, and I also enjoy a good Dunkel. Those Germans know their beer! That said, I'm also partial to a Guinness! Begorrah! |
Well my favourite drink is Ice Tea - peach flavour (but to disapoint you all it's non-alchoholic). It does go really well with Bacardi though
I also like standard rum (and grog - but it takes a while to prepare). I like some homemade hard liquers (but it has to be quality stuff - not just something a local rummy would brew up) or really smooth wiskey, scotch or brandy. I really dislike beer! I prefer white wines to red, although I enjoy quality wines. The problem with red wines is that they taste like cork (as Stroggy mentioned) but that's only because they are usually older and must be in contact with the cork - otherwise the corck goes dry and the air can enter the bottle. I generally dislike gin and vodka (although vodka does have it's strong points). I like to experiment by mixing different drinks together. One of the best mixtures I found is something like this: Merlot, honey, pineapple juice, vodka and rum. Add each accordingly to your taste. Makes a hell of a puch! Also good for a strong coctail - Bacardy, Rum, Wiskey, cola, lemon juice and lots of ice! But remember - don't over do it!!! Being really drunk can be dangerous for you and everybody around you - being slightly drunk can be dangerous for you - depending on the people around you. |

Kids born in 1988 change their ID's to 1983. I'm 1987, though, not as lucky. But my boyfriend looks much older than he is, and he can always buy booze. For me, it depends on what kinda clothes I'm wearing. If I'm wearing my every-day clothes, then I usually cant buy stuff. But if I'm wearing fancy clothes, then I usually can :) |
My favourite drink?
Campari Orange on the rocks. Ahhhhh.... Doesnt even have to be orange.. Campari's great with any fruit juice. |
I nice glass of Lagavulin (Islay whiskey) is my favorite.
|
Quote:
2: i used ta love wine, drink it all the time i would then i tried a fruity pure french merlot, an all the standered wines taste like wood 3: is that a pun? |
Quote:
No pun in-ten-did. But this is getting :ot: |
Quote:
anyway, I never drink... wine |
i guess human blood is valid as a faveorate drink ....
|
LOL, good one Stroggy :D
|
Why it's Grog offcourse :P
Well we do have a dutch beer brand that comes close: Grolsch. But it isn't my fav |
is grog actually a brand? or is it jus a generic title for rum? ie: yo ho ho an a bottle of grog ...
|
As far as I know it's just pirate slang for rum.
|
black tea with rum
|
anyone ever tried pussers rum? the stuff is 60 percent and it tastes like lead but my god it gets you roasting!! :max:
also one i havnt seen metioned yet is absinthe .... there is one bar in this town u can get it in, it costs 5er a shot, but my god, its like something illegal when u drink it, even when u stop u just keep getting more an more wrecked, amazing stuff! |
Quote:
|
probably why it is a fiver a shot, but man does it feel illegal, if it is illegal how come a: i can buy it from a bar i know and its not under the counter b: for ages bizzare magazine were giving a bottle a month away as a prize, c: the primary ingrediant is wormwood which is similar to thc but you can buy from a witchcaft herbalist, well many o an d: mister expensive alchahol tastes YOU CAN BUY IT HERE so. u the one with expensive tastes, buy some, try it out then come back here to tell us all about your experiance, u will definatly have an odd 1, the last time i drank it with some mates we wount on a total riot, no1 got badly hurt LOL
|
Absinthe is a bit of a strange case, but I must say more and more bars in Antwerp are serving absinthe again (or so they say)
|
It depends on country. For example here on slovakia absint isnt illegal.
|
Real absinthe is illegal in most countries, AFAIK. The stuff you usually get when buying it in bars, is not real absinthe, and doesn't contain wormwood. Wormwood is the reason absinthe is illegal. It's toxic, and is also used as an insect repellant, and has hallucinogetic properties when used by human beings. I know the real stuff is legal in some countries, as a friend of mine imported some a couple of years ago (I don't remember from which country, though).
|
Quote:
-take a wet metal cup, glass,... (anything that can contain water) -spread sugar on the side of it (it should hold if the surface is wet enough) -pour watter in the middle and boil it until all the sugar melts into the water -now add twice as much rum as you did water -wait a bit until it cools enough (it should be as hot as a freshly prepared tea) -enjoy the grog -be careful - it's more entoxicating then regular rum!!! |
is coca cola an applicable drink? ^_^
|
well i was more after people fave alchahols as i noticed theres a lotta peeps on this site who can legally drink, an i was drunk at the time an jus curios what evryone else was drinking , it being the weekend and all. o and nice 1 prof, next time i got some rum im gonna try that 1!
|
You were drunk at the time...
You should have seen how some other members behaved while drunk... Now who was it again that fixed the THING and realising next morning he had broken off the sliding door of the CD-ROM drive... And the posts were just - well - unreadable! Those people were my Heroes *hint to who may have been among them*... :drunk: |

Quote:
I want so badly to see someone on this forum drunk! @Flop There is two "kinds" of absinth in slovakia.First one is regular one without wormwood that you can get basically into every bar,and with wormwood, but you must go to speciallized alchol shop, you must proove you are above 18 and is more expensive. |
Sorry guys - but you're about half a year late for that.
I actually saw three people drunk since I've joined the forum (all within the first two weeks). After than... sober! |
Btw it is just me,or there is a mistake in name of topic?
(I am definetly the best when it comes to english grammar  :tomato: ) |

 So you're an addict or would you like to become one? :P Ah well, some use drugs, other people like me just sit behind their computer all day trying to forget what they really should be doing instead :tomato:
I like those drinking rituals like the grog ritual earlymentioned (which is new to me) and the absynth ritual and tequila slamming.. fun to do when you're not alone :) |

o and to get it slightly back on2 the topic o alchahol go here for what is i think a very cool reference to gin an tonic, in a place u would never expect it.
|
erm, triple posted there bud.
|
whats the rule here for bumping, contunuas posts ect, i saw the little billy thing, (hahahah) but it dint say nuttin about multiple posts.
|
Well, they're not popular - bumping would be ok if it's for a good reason but the only real reason for a double-post would be if it's also a bump (for a good reason, of course). Though it matters less in 3xblah threads like this which serve no particular purpose (and have gone off-topic too...)

btw did u check the link? i think dat animation is one o the funniest things i have seen, an it makes a g an t reference |

Seltzer Water or Shirley Temple for me please! Yay for being Mormon!
|
shirley temple?

I usually drink vodka & bacardi
|
Rum's my favorite. Baccardi's the best of the bunch!
|
Frappachino - Mocca
|

|
erm, wow, thats a good question, a hell of a lot! , i guess u bin hearing o some stuff u never heard of before from our icelandic , german, and greek breathren, keep em coming alchies, the world is our pintglass!
|
Hey... what about slovene drinks???
Vekija, Lovec, Tavžntroža, Arnika, Pelinkovec, Srčna moč, Slez na šnopsu,... All strictly 40% or more of alcho... |
Quote:
Seriously, I have tried Lovec (I think it was that) but I didn't like it. |
40%? wow. I wanna come over sometime.
|
Quote:

I dont drink. really. unless concentrated apple juice is alchoholic.. that is that stuff from the bottle with no added water.. nice swig of that and Im happy.
|
Well concentrated natural juices (apple, pear,... but mostly real orange juice can have up to 2% of alcho).
|

And you are a young little, poor boy. :bye: |

reflects my warn level, dosen't it, :)
anyway, it'll burn. so my concentrated apple juice IS alchoholic.. IT'LL BURN TOO.. |
yer 60 percent an above can be well nice but you gotta import an thats pricey
|
Quote:
And btw Danny, 40% is normal for spirits.
Oh yes , how could I forget that ... But that won't help him becouse he acts like he is 4. LOL |

The strongest I drank had about 70%. Couldn't have more then two short sips of the stuff. It was way to strong! It was used for special massages. It was some home brewed schnaps made from mandarines! |
my mum makes schnaps, as does my grandmother...

mmm schnappes an rakia, defiantly the best way to fly. incidently u may not belive this but the strongest thing i have ever drunk was 90 percent portugues white spirit. the stuff had a danger flammable sighn on the side and was bought over by the head chef at the resteraunt my bro was working at. the man had been using it to light his barbaques with, man that stuff was insane! dont think i would repeat the experment tho ...., |
OMG, where are you from?
'Prepecenica' - kind of 'rakija - sljivovica' is strongest I tried (close to 60%) I know somebody who drunk 1l of so called 'spirit' - 90% alcohol in one day. He mixed it with watter, creating around 1.5l - 2l of drink. |
the wird thing with that stuff is even when u mix it it still has this really odd heat that u dont get with voddy. as for me i am english (with a little polish blood) but a few years back (mb 97, 98 cant remeber was 2 drunk hehe) i was living in a shared house with an irish alchaholic, 2 bulgarians and a russian,, i learnt how to do drink pretty quickly, it was either that or spend all my time on the floor....
|
Coka cola, with ice. Shaken not stirred. :D
|
Avokado juice - the way my gf makes it - with crushed ice, milk and chocollate. jummy!
Oh or Sirsak juice also rocks!!!! :ok: |
Amstel Lager...
Yummy!!! :kosta: |
