Well I guess you forgot many music categories (Classic, Jazz, Blues, Reggae, Swing, Country, New Age, Techno, Etno, Folk,...) so I just chose other.
I think there should also be an option - ALL!

I generally listen to all types of music. I go for the quality - there are many awefull rap songs out there (like Emminem's and 50cent's) but there's quality to be found among rap too (like Warren G.). This goes for all types of music so...
And then again there's songs you just know aren't any good, but you like them anyway (like O-Zone Dragostea Din Tei).

My god today rap, hip hop, pop and RnB are basically the same thing...

You could probably add rock to that category too (at least the mainstreem MTV rock). You still have your Heavy Metal, Punk, Grunge, Death Metal, Goth,... but rock that is shown on MTV is basically the same as pop.

I don`T agree rap hiphop RNB I can agree on, but not pop. just some few artist makes hiphop to pop, but you can`t say that rap is pop.

rap and hiphop is two different things, so is rap and pop.

So are techno and trance different thingd, not to mention metal,punk,grunge, aren't same as rock, I'm just saying this poll has too many hiphop culture options and many other music genres are missing...

So what exactly is the difference between Rap and Hip-Hop?

For me it's mostly rock, although rock from like the 70's and 80's mostly, some metal as well though I don't mind listening too.

I always thought hip-hop is a culture from which rap,rnb and such derive...

rap is more heavy mostly punclines and stuff.
hiphop is more pop alike but NOT pop.

It would be if you could download it. But you can't download it - you can just listen to it (it's like if I'd invite you over to my place to listen to some music - don't worry, the songs weren't obtained illegaly - I have all the original CDs).

what about gabba, house, punk, drum n bass, hardcore, metal (which can be split into death metal, thrash metal, grind metal, heavy metal, black metal, darkwave, ect) o yeah and industrial, industrial techno, industrial house, industrial metal putting just rock is a bit silly as only people who like stuff like queen, the darkness, ect should click it, o yeah what about breakbeat, techstep, psi trance, trance, tech trance? funky house?

i voted other but i like all styles of music.

the rap hip hop thing is well annoying, i can never tell the difference and i have had so many people tell me different versions of what is rap, what is hip hop, it gets well irritating
