DeathDude 01-05-2005 06:25 PM

Have any of you ever heard of the ancient south american weapon a bola?

Its exactly like a bola with three plastic balls and a string running through them to do tricks with...very fun and addicting! :D

I have tried that... (playing with it was fun about 10 first minutes)
It really looks and works like bola or even better (it hits to very sensitive place every time when you don't concentrate).

I think I bought one of those five or six years ago - it wasn't quite as fancy-looking as the ones advertised on the website, though. Mine was just plain red. But I had to stop playing because my cats just wouldn't see that this was supposed to be a toy for ME. LOL

drumminfreek 02-05-2005 08:12 PM

LOL
mine are the "Saturn"
the clear ones with a green ring around it. Anyways i started this because i wanna know if any1 has come up with new tricks to share.
But if no ones ever used em...

punch999 02-05-2005 10:08 PM

i just bought one because of this topic it is really cool but im still trying to lear other tricks except the two basic orbit tricks

drumminfreek 03-05-2005 12:05 AM

cool! :D
an easy one is the switch...
do a vertical orbit and then when the orbiting ball reaches the top of the orbit let go of the ball in your hand and the other ball will come to your hand and keep orbiting! :D

A. J. Raffles 05-05-2005 12:20 PM

Besides punch and me, you mean. I did get to use it a bit before the cat incident. :sneaky:

drumminfreek 05-05-2005 08:11 PM

LOL.... but still no one does it of now...
i mean, have either of you made up or have any tricks to share?

A. J. Raffles 05-05-2005 08:48 PM

I can't remember, I'm afraid. Probably not. But I happen to have found my astrojax this afternoon (OK, I was looking for it ), so I might have another go at playing over the weekend.

drumminfreek 07-05-2005 01:52 PM

:D kool!
if u can come up with any cool trix lemme know

PrejudiceSucks 08-05-2005 07:39 AM

Hmmm these sound OK, I dunno whether I would buy one or not though.

I have an idea for a company slogan for them:

It's like there's a yo-yo in my mouth and everyone's invited! :pimp: Pretty cool, eh?

drumminfreek 08-05-2005 11:44 AM

LOL
yeh...you should get a pair...there really cool!
:D
