I just want to know what you guys can cook.
Got any specialties?

I'll get the ball rolling:
anything you can think of! :max: (not really)

BeefontheBone 06-06-2005 01:11 PM

Isn't there already a topic on this in here?

Kearnsy 06-06-2005 01:14 PM

THERE IS?!!

sorry, please delete.

*slinks into the darkness*

Yes and no. There's a topic about cooking at the AR forum: http://www.reloaded.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=132

Eggs, eggs, and eggs....

And btw, I'm allergic on the eggs...

UnHoly 06-06-2005 01:40 PM

I can cook lots of stuff. Like instant soups, deep-frozen pizza in microwave, warm up food made a day ago in my microwave... Actually microwave is only kitchen appliance (except of kettle) I can use :)

lethe 06-06-2005 01:43 PM

I can cook a bolognesa that melts half of your body into water from so much drooling.

A real chef. LOL

Kon-Tiki 06-06-2005 01:53 PM

Rice and eggs, but spaghetti's above my skills

Kearnsy 06-06-2005 01:54 PM

The reason I raised the topic is that I want to be a chef and own a restaurant someday. Maybe I'll be the Abandonia chef.
That is if no one wants to challenge me Iron Chef style! :Titan:

Kon-Tiki 06-06-2005 01:55 PM

I challenge you to... an egg duel! First one to make a boiled egg wins!
*Hopes you'll go for a hardboiled egg while I go for a softboiled one*

omg 06-06-2005 02:00 PM

i can cook. curries, pastas, bolonaises, lasange, roast meals (pretty easy really)
most things really. im not so good with pastries though. having worked as a chef before kind of helps though.

@kearnsy = if you want to open a resteraunt you better hope you have a few years cooking experiance down, otherwise the chefs wont respect you, and will possibly spit at you (or in your food) remeber to get a firm but fair head chef, and be aware that kitchens you are a lot more likely to have staff get into huffs and march out than pretty much any occupation. but the markup is fantastic. you can make a lot of money. its a tougth game though. what type of resteraunt you thinking of opening?

BeefontheBone 06-06-2005 02:05 PM

Ah, that explains why I couldn't find it on here. Sorry about that.

Enchilladas are my speciality, and my housemate and I sometimes whip up a mean omlette; I can follow a recipe generally but I'm not good at getting several things to be ready at the same time, so 1 or 2 dishes tends to be more successful for me.

Sebatianos 06-06-2005 02:27 PM

Coocking is easy. It's the eating of the stuff I prepare that's hard :D

Well actually I'm quite good around the kitchen - can prepare almost anything.

Indignus IV 06-06-2005 02:35 PM

I can make a bowl of cereal, a pb+j sandwich and a burnt omelette which makes you choke and die after you eat it. LOL

:w00t: A shortcut to the afterlife! :ok:

LOL

Rogue 06-06-2005 02:59 PM

I used to work a lot at grill in one restauran, and to do some other stuff while I worked as cook. No one complained, so I guess all of the stuff was eatable.

But as my wife is much better at cooking then I am, I don't cook any more.

PrejudiceSucks 06-06-2005 03:05 PM

Hmm I make a good pasta bake thing with loads of herbs, I can do mince + pasta. Shepherd's pie if I can really be arsed with all of the effort.

Beans on toast... cheese on toast (canadian style, with marmite under the cheese!), cereal.

Hmm... I can make bread I suppose. I once tried making a danish pastry.

Uhmm... swiss roll (home made).

Not much, really, but I could survive on my own cooking.

troop18546 06-06-2005 03:11 PM

I think that if I try to make a pie or anything, the dish would end up being used for fuel or snake repelent. Nothing out of the ordinary in my skills on cooking.

DeathDude 06-06-2005 03:40 PM

Not a whole lot I can cook rice, bacon, going to learn though soon I hope to make my own pasta sauce, mmmm that's going to be really good once I learn it from my mom.

TheVoid 06-06-2005 05:48 PM

If I'm in the mood, I can prepare some good stuff.

Every kind of pasta, some sauces (you should try my Cinnamon-Tomato sauce), baked potatoes and baked fish, pizza (from scratch ;) - no frozen one ) , purea, diffeent kinds of meat.

I've been working at the grill in the local fair for 3 years now: hamburgers, hotdogs, every kind of grilled meat. I also work at the fryer, where I prepare chips and fried fish.

And I like to prepare new cocktails from time to time- expecially rhum-based. :w00t:

And I tought Tom Henrik how to prepare pesto

Ok, now move this post to the Bragging Topic. LOL

PrejudiceSucks 06-06-2005 06:16 PM

LOL cool, apart from that the Bragging Topic is no more. Sadly page upon page of leet speak got it closed *sighs*.

Doc Adrian 06-06-2005 06:19 PM

I cook meats on the stove or grill, Italian food, Irish food, Greek Food, Bohemian, ..

er lets make it simple..I don't cook Chinese food or Japanese food as of yet and I can cook alot of foods but I don't really like to cook.

It makes it easier if I am cooking for a group, and I detest baking but I can do it.

Iron_Scarecrow 07-06-2005 06:01 AM

I cook sausages, steak, bacon, eggs, potatoes all on the barbeque, chicken kebab sticks are bloody impossible. And then french toast, spagheti bolognaise, and pizzas with lebanese bread as the base.

And my brother can cook some very good stir fries, and other pasta meals with chicken, beef and other stuff.

And if I ever have friends over for drinks we'll have a fire in the backyard in an old washing machine drum, and I'll put some potatoes in the coals before I sleep and have them for breakfast, very nice in the morning with a hang-over.

Quintopotere 07-06-2005 08:53 AM

I can cook almost everything that could be killed, pulled up from from the ground (vegetables) or ripped from trees...

I'm italian, so my best is about pastas and rice, but i do well even with meat and some kind of cakes.

My best inventions are two sauces for pasta: tomato-apple one and courgettes one

Kearnsy 07-06-2005 01:53 PM

Nice recipies guys! Im gettin some good ideas now.
To all of those who dont like to bake, keep trying and eventually (after many failures) you learns to love it.
P.S my specialty is a cheesecake with mixed berries on top (yeah its s**t name, but very nice) :ok:
