well that clarified it ....

I remember just about enough old Norse to figure out you were really upset, Puffin (and somehow I doubt you would have got an English version of that post through the language filter ;) ). I'm sorry.

Didn't see the original post, but thats ok my translation skills are poor

but I translated the important stuff, so therefore...(sends Puffin a case of Captain Morgan)

Hope things get better for you soon Puffin

Quintopotere 15-06-2005 11:42 AM

I don't understand this topic... for me it's only a spamming opportunity! :D

Tom Henrik 15-06-2005 01:58 PM

Puffin is feeling upset because her boyfriend's mom keep interfering in their relationship. His mom can't stand Puffin, and won't have the two meet.

Was that poem in Norse?

Whoa, I thought Scandinavian was a bit similar to Dutch (some words and phrases), but the only thing I found familiar sounding were bensin (benzine) and banna (bannen, verbannen).

To show you I'm not kidding when I say Scandinavian looks a bit like Dutch, here's a phrase: "Tre Man Komm Vorbi" in Dutch: "Drie Mannen Kwamen Voorbij" in English: "Three Men Came By." Though in English that's not the correct meaning. I think it would be "Three Men Went By."

Nope but the language is far closer to the "original" scandinavian languages than Swedish, Norwegan or Danish.
