I have a really cool proposition, but it can't work if nobody has read "The Good Earth" by Pearl S Buck. Has anybody read it?

Indignus IV 24-06-2005 06:39 PM

Is anybody gonna reply??

A. J. Raffles 24-06-2005 06:41 PM

Well, probably no-one has read it, so why should they bother to reply?

Danny252 24-06-2005 06:42 PM

I havent even heard of the book or the author.
and, if you're wondering, I am in a very postie mood today.

Quintopotere 24-06-2005 06:42 PM

Here is my reply: i've never read the book!

konfliktPL 24-06-2005 06:42 PM

I suppose that if anybody wanted to reply they would do it.
Me - I haven't read that... Anyways, what's the proposition, and what is the book about?

ROTFL, what a timing. You have what You asked for. ;)

Indignus IV 24-06-2005 06:47 PM

Well, its a very famous book, the author won a nobel prize for it!

The proposition was to make a game out of the book, because the book is made perfectly for a game. But since nobody read it....what a shame.

I can't explain the plot to you because it is too complicated, but it is a wonderful book. Cant believe nobody has heard of it.

The Good Earth

Pearl S. Buck

If you have the time, check it out, its great.

I just thought a simulation game made from it would a ton of fun. Oh, well.

A. J. Raffles 24-06-2005 06:49 PM

Well, of course I've heard of it, but there's plenty of books I've heard of but which I haven't read.

BeefontheBone 24-06-2005 06:55 PM

Those Mark Twain style classics: books everyone wishes they'd read but which nobody ever does.

I've never been able to read Mark Twain's books, expecially Tom Sawyer! I tryed a couple of time to start reading it, but i get annoyed just after three pages

BeefontheBone 24-06-2005 07:00 PM

I think that was his definition of a classic, but some of his own work does fall into it.

Indignus IV 24-06-2005 07:08 PM

Gee, this seems to be off topic. We should close it. OH, TITAN!!! :D
