Stormtrooper9 27-02-2005 02:10 AM

Still supported by Lucas Arts can get it from there web site for $29.95 USD  Way too much

Borodin 27-02-2005 02:11 PM

LucasArts is not a very friendly company, these days. But with new management--well, we'll just have to see.

I'm sure you can find a copy of that game for much less then $30. I suggest looking on ebay for it. You should be able to get it for less then $10 including shipping.

Borodin 28-02-2005 01:08 PM

It's not a bad strategy title, but the interface is amazingly convoluted.

Gun Man 28-02-2005 01:58 PM

Great: Abbandonia becomes an exchange forum for pirates. :tomato:

No need for this topic anymore. The game is still sold.

Star Wars: Rebellion (aka Star Wars: Supremacy) [2014]

Hi all,

I´ve been looking for some time for Star Wars Rebellion, which I believe it was called. Is it Abandonware, if yes, where can I get it? If no, where can I buy it? Keep in mind that I´m from Germany :D

Great site, btw!

Cheers!

The Fifth Horseman 08-07-2005 02:10 PM

Not abandoned, AFAIK.

No, LucasArts is an ESA member. Your best bet would probably be to try and buy the game here.

Timpsi 08-07-2005 02:29 PM

Also for sale on the LucasArts website over here.

If he's from Germany, though, he'll have to pay through the nose for shipping costs.

Borodin 08-07-2005 03:05 PM

Not worth getting, in my opinion. Has one of the most complex interfaces of any turn-based strategy game I can recall, without the commensurate game depth to make it worthwhile. If you want complexity with an excellent interface, check out King of Dragon Pass. Just my point of view.

Or you could try http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B...6297410-1509464

where they have 5 new and used form only 44.95GBP....FFS! I am glad I already have the game. It is not even a classic. Most people don't like the game (I love it) and they sell it for 45 quid? damn!

Try ebay or go for the lucasarts site.

MdaG 08-07-2005 04:56 PM

I think Rebellion is an ok game, but I prefer Master of Orion 2 or Space Empires 4

It wasn't a good seller when it first appeared, either.

I suspect the price means it's a seller's market. A few people want it, but it's not legal to distribute freely, so sellers get to jack up the price as high as the market can bear. And as you point out, the game certainly isn't worth it. I think I may still have my copy, but if I don't, I won't pay even $10 for it. It's just not worth that much.
