Do they necessarily have to be sprites that we made from games? Or can they be out own sprites?
This took me about two hours, but I made it. I give you... Link! http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23.../Art/zelda.gif |
Any sprites at all ^_^ nice job on link :)
|
Those sprites are really good, moogle and Bobbin T!! :ok:
|
I have to agree :)
Keep it up, but I have to say that it is harder to create own sprites, than remaking them. Nice work, guys :ok: |
Moogle: Your blackmage is slightly short and his eyes should be the colour of the lighter part of the hat.
This knowledge comes from 600+ episodes of 8-Bit theatre. |
Heh ya, thanks all, and yes, it would be much harddder to make your own, but I'm so unimaginative <_<
And ya Danny, it might be a little short, I think maybe I messed up on one or two pixels and the length got thrown off, as for the eyes, dunno, thats the color from the orignal pic I used, but the original isn't an actual in game screeny so ur probly right. Anyways, I put all of them together and made a sig out of it, don't really care fo it too much, but better thn the old one, I made a better one with more colors and twirly effects, but I forgot to save it <_< http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...22/Moogled.jpg |
Hey, got some too (working on them for a game). Here's the latest one. Still am going to change the ghost, as it simply doesn't fit in well.
http://www.abandonia.com/~kon-tiki/Pics/Tile.png This one's fully done. It's a dragon, btw... not a frog. http://www.abandonia.com/~kon-tiki/Pics/Tile_Med.png It's all a bit too hard for me to make proper pixel-paintings. These look decent, but that's at the cost of so many that looked crappy and had to be redone. I really should leave the graphics part for my games up to somebody else <_< |
Nice Pixels!!! :)
Do you know what you ahve in mind for the graphics? I'd be willing to help, even tho I'm not that good LOL <_< |
For that exact game, a couple ones. For another project... well, buildings aren't set yet, but the main races're done, just need being pixeled. If you're interested in either one, let me know :)
|
Just need pixelling how?
If you've got some outlines I could colour them if you want. |
I've got the general characteristics. They just need to be drawn out, in pixel-painting (probably a bit of looks design, too  )
Edit: One's especially a challenge. Moogle, I'll PM you the specs for that one (you're the best one for this job :D ) |

Thats EXACTLY how I did it too, mainly it takes patience, and you have to be able to acurately guage how many dots/squares/pixels one section is :) |
Yeah, I'll make another next time I play a pixelly game. Which should be pretty soon.
.:EDIT:. Moogle, what zoom is the enlarged sprite by? Percentage I mean. Or if in paint x#. |

As a kid, I remember I took a math paper (those with all the squares printed on) and used color pencils to copy a sprite from one of the DOOM games. I waited until one of the flying skulls would attack, and then when it was almost in my face, I paused the game and started coloring the pixel pattern onto the paper. Then I opened Paintbrush (Win 3.11) and created the sprite. It took me days :P Nowadays, things go faster. http://www.abandonia.com/forum/uploa...1098946104.png That castle and Lemmings took me, I think, 2-3 hours to make. |
Wow. In Paint ? :kosta:
|
Woah! That's great! I bet it took the lemmings a while too.
|
That castle looks familiar  Simply can't say from where, though.

Nah, I think I've seen it in a game somewhere, or at least something that greatly resembles it, but can't say which one. Played too many to remember such nitty details.
|

|
