YEAH :Brain: THANX ABANDONIA
This is THE BEST soccer simulation ever. Was addicted for months, back in the days... |
For those of you who're interested in economic realism, the Bundesliga (which is their top league) has teams that spend 200k+ every week on player salaries alone. Their MVP gets somewhere around 280k per week. His income tax is also roughly 50%, but that's still a huge amount of money to go kick a black and white ball around.
Yeah, I know. :ot: |
Any experiences with code verification that it does in something like 2015 or there, not sure really when, but i remember few times played some amiga version there :o
|
So is this a review of a game called "Bundesliga Manager Professional" or "The Manager"? Or is it "Bundesliga Manager Professional" converted to English (both language and teams) and given a new name?
|
This seems to be the english game.
Any idea where to get the german one with the german teams? |

EDIT: In fact, it says it in the review. |
Help i got to the intro screen with the 4 faces at the bottum and the team logos on top but i don't know what to do!.
|
Quote:
if you are going to play a single player game, the face you use will always be the lower left one... to change it to another one of the others just click the face you want and click the face at the lower left and they will switch. then click at the lower left field and write your name and hit "enter" then left click at square over the "coach" (manager or what ever your "job" is) to put the team emblem there. right click (no mater where the mouse pointer is) and you will start the game. the rest is for you to find out... enjoy the game |
If i'm not completely wrong, the Bundeslige Manager series was continued for several years (I once had Bundesliga Manager 97, I had to delete all the other stuff on my 512 MB harddisk except the system to be able to install it on my 486 I had back then and the graphics didn't run too well, but I loved the game anyway) and then around 2000 it somehow came to EA, where it is continued as Fußball Manager (Total Club Manager in the English-speaking world) until today. I may also be wrong, perhaps TCM is a different series, but I think I read it someday long ago.
|
Looks complicated.Just downloading it.
Any chance of a manual or is there help in the game? |
Game looks cool, but a manual would be even more cool :sneaky:
|
This is a good game, I remember having it when I was like 14 or 15. I didn't have any trouble figuring out how to use it back then, so I reckon you just need to play around with it a bit. Shouldn't be a problem after that.
|
OK folks,
for all the newbies playing this game - here is a cheat which also works with this english version. Open an game and go to the SETTING-SCREEN ( where you can toggle on/off all the messages and other stuff ) Here in the RIGHT CORNER BELOW you can find a symbol which says MAIN MENU or something like that. There is also an ARROW in this smal box. KLICK ON IT ( ON THE ARROW ) and you will have a team with 99-99-99 and about 24.999.999 Pounds at the bank. This is a cheat which works also with the german version. And please - if anybody now where to get the TEAMEDITOR for this game, please post it ! Greetings from Mexico |
Does this game include international games with the time once you get championship or the cup?
BTW any editor for the team's stats |
there was a successor called "bundesliga manager hattrick" which i use to play even nowadays. in my opinion its the best version ever. i dont like the newer ones: bundesliga manager 97, 98 or X. so just give it a try. :ok:
|
how do i announce and make substitute? Which players can be a substitute?
When i try it it says player not selected. does this mean that non selected players are not in the game (as backup) at all? |
If you left click they are selected. If you right click they are a substitute.(or It may be the other way around.I cant remember.)
|
Wow. My first PC game ever. I played this for years until I lost everything due to a virus, and never managed to get this one back. I could kiss the uploader right now. :ok: :ok:

On the side note. for some reason game is crashing (saving an error file and exiting). i am not sure what is the cause. it only appeared once in season and after i finished the first season it was happening all the time so i couldn't play another game. so i started up a new game and it didn't help. now i am trying to check if maybe files got somehow corrupted. oh, and yes it happneed before i decided ot use the cheat. |

As you're able to see on the site of BMP on AB, there's no windows-sign in the compability-section. That means it is not possible or at least not recommended to run the game under XP.
Try DosBox(left icon) or VDMS (right icon). How to use these is explained several timeas in the forum and the main page. This is the support!!!!!!11111 :ok: :king: |

So set the training intensity as high as possible. Your players will get injured a little bit more often but the skill improvement will be much more useful. This will also help you to win your matches. Send your team to the "crown fitness centre" or "teardrop college" as often as possible. It takes a few years to get youth players, but they are worth it. They are not only very valuable, they also have cheap contracts. @little fish: In the versions I played the players didn't get better at the end of the season, they improved continously. Is the version you get here really that different ? |
Quote:
Keep this factor in mind. Your players won't be able to dominate a whole match. You can see the level of exhaution in the players list at the right border. Hover your mouse over the + - or 0 and you'll see it displayed at the bottom of the list. |
Quote:
Heavy training intensity doesn't mean you let your players run marathons a few hours before your matches. You can train hard without making your players too tired to win the games. There was even a hint in my manual to set the training intensity higher before important matches. It was not very hard for me to climb 2 classes within 3 years with full training intensity all the time. The game will even get too easy that way unless you play together with other human players. |
Hm...
But look at the players' exhaustion. I'm not making things up I really KNOW this game. But if you're that successful it justifies your training in a way. I still think you should keeo an eye on the exhaustion. |
In this game you don´t have problems with players' exhaustion because, they don´t have that stats, if you want a player to improve, you have to put them in the max of training. :ok:
|
Sorry guys, but really, really sure that there IS exhaustion in that game! Hover your mouse over their development stats in the squad.
It's on the very right of it. |

here's a german site that's somehow affiliated to software2000 where you are able to get the TEAM EDiTOR :D the address of the website is managerspiele.net (copy and paste into your browser's address field) BMP MENU >>> DOWNLOADS >>> Saisondaten 2004/2005 (Uploaddatum: xx.xx.2004) (latest upload) includes the german version of the team editor (!!! :D ) and newer german league data and logos/shields) you may simply copy the english teams into the un-RARed german directory "Update_BMP... ..." (PiC directory and Mana.Dat) and start Teamed.exe (otherwise you get the black "DiSK" screen) and you can edit the english league... or use the german teams and graphics, or edit the graphics... everything's possible... after all simply copy the edits back into the game directory ('BMP' or 'Bundesliga Manager Professional') How to do it: CLiCK on your team's logo a) you you can edit the logo B) you can edit the player's names NiCHT UBERNEHMEN => DON'T CHANGE ANYTHiNG ANDERUNG SiCHERN => SAVE PROGRAMM-ENDE => QUiT (may lead to this requester: "DATEN UNWiEDERBRiNGLiCH ABSPEiCHERN?" (change data permanently??? (logo and/or player's data)) MACH MAL! => DO iT! OH NEiN! => OH NO! ----------------------------------------------------------------- the german name of the manager is bundesliga manager professional = BMP (like the *.exe) so you can get a GERMAN version of the game there (search for BMP MENU >>> DOWNLOADS >>> (scroll down) "... 3-Punkte-Update für den BMP ..." (!!!german bmp.exe of the engl. version!!!) after copying this bmp into the game's dir it's (nearly all) in german... (if you need this... :max: ) there is also a scanned manual (sorry, in german) Handbuch zum BMP der Erstausgabe (Uploaddatum: 10.06.2001) |
Quote:
sorry, you're wrong. it's possible to change the whole game into nearly-all-german and it works (see post up there) HiNT some start screens are missing, so the game starts with the manager selection. 1. type your manager's name and ENTER 2. select logo 3. right-CLiCK Mouse NEXT 1. select what you want 2. right-CLiCK Mouse the game starts. . . i have time at the moment so i did play ~12 hours yesterday from "1991" to "2003" and there where 'hangers/game-stops' a few times and i did see the first password key screen at the end of season ~2000 (or so) but it seems that you can click whatever word (out of orig.-engl.-manual) you want (seems to be -luckily- disabled... :ok: ) and the game goes on. but it's better to SAVE the actual game every bigger steps of work... luckily there is a AUTOSAVE file (*.man) that saves the game in certain steps of time ( that did save me from going mad after the first crash/hanger/game halt  ) . . MY QUESTiON: how do YOU manage to KEEP (the most of) YOUR team at season's ending - it's damn hard to keep the players in this game (as hard as to get good new ones) - i nearly lose the whole team after every season... :tai: :ranting: |

Oh my god thanks a lot dude! :D Btw if you have a clue about its former french name ('coz a french version was released too) or, even better, a link for this version, i would be soooo happy! Anyway, thanks a lot for the job done, keep it up! Meethz |
How long do you have to wait before you get players from your youth squad? I play four seasoons and still get no players. How do you find out you get them, are they on your team at the beginning of the year or do you have to look somewhere? Also, is there a way to request a player off another teams roster, or can you only sign the available players? Thanks.
|
4 years are not uncommon. Just be patient and keep spending the maximum. It's worth it.
You can only sign available players. |
This is a great oldie. I love it. One question, though:
When the original contracts of the players run out after 3 years I start getting into trouble because all the contract prices soar after I renew the contracts. Any tips to this stage of the game? |
I usually give 4 year contracts to the players I want to keep right at the start.
You can renew a few contracts after the first year to split up the running out. Buy younger, a bit weaker and cheaper players and give long contracts to them during the next years, sell the players who get too expensive. Players from your youth squad are usually both strong and cheap. If you are lucky some players will offer to lengthen their contract on their own. |
hi - question:
when you add players to the transfer market, it will sometimes come up and say in the "news" section that "such and such a team are interested in B. Guy" but how do i sell him to them? You can't click on anything on that screen except the "X" and then i cant find it anywhere else. Help would be great ! Thanks.. |
In the same lit were you buy players, you have to put yours players , when some team will try to buy, is name will became white, then click on is name and you can sell your player. :ok:
|
Thanks! Off to try it now..

yes, you need to refuse some sells because of the transfer fee it´s to much, refuse, and the next will be with a tf much less. :ok: :ok:
|
Yes, you are right, but the offer is then much less, too!
The offer is much less than the value of the calculated value of the player and the fee comes afterwards! It seems impossible to get a positive balance. I have still the very low saleries (approximately 500 P.) and I lose money! |
Can you (or anybody else) send me a not cheated saved game in the third season with positive balance? m.
|
Nope.

Hi Little Fish (and others too!)... THX for answering all those questions, it's a big help.
Here is a couple more: Is it possible to make substitutions, increase struggle, etc. during a match? If so, how do you do that? Someone was talking about exhaustion earlier. The exhaustion level displayed at the right in the player overview (e.g Exhaustion 143), what does that compare with? Is 143 his limit, if so, how do I know how close he is to that limit? Or: is it his current exhustion level, if so, what is his limit? In other words: What is a low, medium and high exhaustion number respectively? (It seems 150 might be the maximum, but even though you rest a player for a couple of games exh. level doesn't drop (intensive training still though)). A tech Q: When I offer a player a new contract, type the number of years, and then hit enter, the computer jumps to the desktop, minimizing the game to the taskbar. That means I can't offer a contract, I can't leave the offer contract window, and because of that the game effectively is over.... :-( Thank you for any help you can provide to either of these questions! Thanks! |

Someone spoke of spending money on youth, how do you do that. Is that the slider thingy where it says youth? If so how can I see how much Im spending?
Great game except I dont think Ive ever been able to turn profit on my team, Im always losing money each month. If I drop the guys with the high salaries I wont win matches and I´ll fall from the league. Currently Im in the 2. league and barely escaped the fall to the 3rd. Im losing about 100k a month and only bringing in about 50k each home match (which is twice a month if Im lucky!). My stadium holds 15.000 max. Im not spending money on training camps, stadium improvements or new players. All Im spending on is player salaries and still Im losing money :( Whats the magic way of holding balance in this game? Lastly how come there are only 2 substitudes possible and not 3? Appreciate any help, cheers. |

Another thing.
I was barely getting by with 140k in expenses each month (salaries, travel etc.) when all of a sudden it jumped up to 185k a month. Then to 258k the moment I got promoted to 2. division. Salaries=22k, adcost+youth=5k so what am I spending 231k on, traveling? I dont have any loans but my balance is -775k. :sos: Hmm... |
Thanks so much for this download link, been searching a lot and nog found it again. I've been playing Football Manager 06 lately but the enormous waiting time after each 'contineu' is ruining all the fun. This classic oldie will never dissapoint me that way.
And when I get bored playing with one team (cause in the end you're just winning the title every year) then I just start up another team right alongside and play with two teams! <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Mozillaman @ Aug 30 2006, 07:09 PM) </div> Quote:

Hi guys,
Downloaded the game 2 days ago and am now in season 7th of my third game. My first and second game started extremely well with double promotion to 1st divisin in successive years, but by the 3rd season, my account has done bottoms-up. Debt of -$2 million pounds. Ended up being relegated back to division 3, bankrupting my club. I started game 3 with a bit more strategy and took an enormous risk. I realise that i was able to get promoted easily and also i know that gates receipt is where the bulk of my income will derive. Here was the risk i took: 1) I took a $1 million pound loan from the bank at the start of my season in div 2. 2) I spent the majority of the loan on upgrading the stadium capacity to 30000, facilities and condition to "Good". 3) Trim my squad to 14 players only. (Yes, 14 only. I found that positions does not matter. My make my FWD plays as GK whenever my GK gets injured or suspended. The trick here is to train them regularly, as stated in the next point.) 4) Training Camps after training camps. The season was extremely difficult. Although i was easily on top of the table (due to the increment in skills from the effort spent in training camps), i constantly have to look out for my account and look out for the dateline of my bank loan. It almost gave me high blood pressure/hyper tension. On the dateline of the bank loan, i was in real panic. I know that i was only 6 months away from the end of season 2, my debt was now -$400,000 after paying off the bank loan - this could mean that i can be relegated straight back to Div 3 even though i may have won Div 2. For the next 6 months, i stopped all training camps, sold off my high wages players and replaced them with low wages ones, suffered hooligans attacks, reinstalling the condition of my stadium (it dropped once. you have to maintain it in order to keep the fans coming to your games.). I further trimed my side to 12 players (YES ONLY 12!!!, but the team was so good by then, it had no problem winning 2-0 even though i started a game with only 9 players.) Through good fortune, i had a good run in the FA Cup and won it! That gave me the gate receipt of the Wembly turn out (82000 full turn out!) and it saved my season. I was in the black by the skin of my teeth of the last day of the season ($13,000). I repeated the same strategy in my next season in Div 1. However, this time taking only a $500,000 loan. I did the same thing - add seats to generate income, training camps, a team of 13 low wages players, aim for a good cup run, maintain the stadium. I finished the season on 3rd place, but i was thankful that the stress of staying in the black was not as bad as the previous season. So the next season, i didi the same thing, taking another smaller loan, and fast forward to season 7 today, i am $1 million dollars in black and winnning championship easily. I have money now to spend on floodlights, scoreboards, seats, covered stands.seats. All this while keeping my squad to a size of 13-14 players. There you go. I shall post my save game some day. Am now keeping my fingers cross that the "ask for password" issue will not occur - i do not have a manual. |
Is there anyone out there who could help me? I was playing as Watford in Div. 3, second year, and my forward had just scored a hat trick, but the game just freezes, as if it is trying to find an animation or a picture which isn't in the folders. Has this happened to anyone else?

Hello. BMP is a part, like many, of my youth. After almost ten years I managed to get a german version (4 mgs) of the game. I do not speak a word of German. So, can any of you help me and point a UK version? The one within this site does not work in my computer (XP Windons). I really hope someone will help...this mean a lot to me. pkrausz |
Hi!
Oh, this one WILL work for your computer but you have to use DosBox. Where to get DosBox and how to use it. |
hi, love this game. my alltime managergame favourite.and ive just started playing again. i've actually played to like 2082 with plymouth argyle when i started playing it again couple of years ago, won everything and had lots of cash without cheating once. but when i came past 2020 or something the game suddently would crash random.. so i've had to save alot. petey
|
I too have been addicted to this fine game, but 1 thing has been bothering me ever since the first time I got to premier leagues top 3; the salaries. It just isn't possible to maintain even a decent budjet with the players having amazing salaries so my question is: is the only real way to keep the budjet positive to sell the hero-like players and buy new not so hero ones with lowers salary? I also remember a trick to keep a players salary the same even if YOU have to extend the contract...cause after every season as you have to extend the contracts and when you hit 'enter' you'll see a painful amount...
|
You can extend the contracts in the transfer section when you click on the players if I remember correctly.
Of courseyour players want high salaries when you are reliant on them. They are greedy... |
hi, i've got a little problem now.. ive played to 2001. and suddently the screen just start blinking.. and i have to quit the game.. anyone now how to fix this?

If you don't know, if you pick Swansea (is this spelled correctly? :P) - you will not get a standard team, but rather a mix of different players from other teams. I don't know if the players are all random, or that Swansea just has multiple predefined Teams, at least you get players that doesn't belong together.
This might be common knowledge, but I just thought I could mention it |
yup, that´s true, but it´s normal, no one see that, because almost every one play with Arsenal, Man U, Liverpool and some others, so it´s normal no one see that, but it´s only with Swansea team, a team from wales...
|
To answer the question somebody had, why you can substitute only 2 players and not three: Actually you can substitute three, but back that time it was 2 fieldplayers plus the goalkeeper. The rules were changed later on to three individual players.

Hi guys
I really just love this game, but being a dane I prefer danish players... My uncle had a version where Peter Schmeichel and Brian Laudrup played for Man Utd while Michael Laudrup played for Leeds... However, I can only find the version where Leighton and Sealey are United goalies and the danes are no-where to be found... Does anyone know where I can get a version with these players? Maybe an update for the 1992/1993 season or something like that... |
so,,,has anyone found an editor to update the teams? if so...please link us where to find it or email me [BEEEP]@hotmail.com thanks to all..... best game ever

Hi all :)
I know how to edit rosters for this game. It's really quite easy with a simple HEX editor. However, I have no idea how to change the PICTURES. It would be ridiculous to have, say, Italian teams but with English Premier League symbols and all that. Does anyone know of a way to open and manage files with extension .VGA? I know it's possible because in the past I've played with Italian, German, and English versions of the game and all had the right team insignia. I just don't know how to do that... Thanks in advance! Hi folks!
I love this game, played it in the early 90's, just one question I can't remember, the "struggle" indikator in the top right corner what exactly does it do? I belive you play tougher and get more cards when it's on red but I'm not sure |

I've started a project on sourceforge with the aim to reverse engineer Bundesliga Manager Professional/The Manager. It's not that far in progress, but you can find information on the VGA format there. You can download two programs as well, one for converting VGA to BMP format and one for the other way round. It's best you have a look at the project wiki; there's not that much there, but I hope it helps. If you're interested, feel free to contribute: http://freebmp.sourceforge.net/ Kind regards, Roland |
This is a true classic, and one of my all time favourite games. I've actually wanted to find this game for years, but have never been able to remember the name of it, only the exact look of it which of course doesn't help much.
Strange that this never gained that much popularity according to the review, because it's on par with Championship Manager, and it's the SWOS of football manager games in my eyes. |
Did you know, that the expenses are calculated higher when you have a lot of money on your bank account? The game prevents you from getting very rich by increasing what you have to pay for travelling costs (or unnamed expenses all it says is "etc..")
You can proove this yourself. When you have like 5 million on the bank, look at the total expenses which are like 1.5m per month. Then spend all money for stadium upgrades and look at the expenses again, and they will be like 900k per month. Even without making a turn! Just spend money by ordering an upgrade, and your expenses drop. It is indeed a cheat by the program!! |
I am not sure how it happen, but i buyed this Player and somehow i messed up on Contract. Now it looks like this:

Editing the game
Hi.
I've been searching the web in order to find technical information on how to change the team names, players, team symbols, rules of the game (like the 3 points per victory) and so on. Up to now I was able to find a editor (in Italian), the manual in english, a project trying to made the reverse engineering in this game. But I wasn't able to find: * A manner to edit the symbols; * How to edit the rules; * How to edit the text in the game; * How to edit the graphics. Could someone help with any information? Thanks, |

One gameplay question: Youth training, is it at max when the slider is red or green? |
That's the reason I'm trying to be so involved on this site :D Sharing the joy of rediscovering old game favourites. I can't tell you how happy I was to find this site :3: (Although sometimes I'm more of a pest than anything else :mhh:)

Rediscovered this game recently - what a blast. I remember years ago playing with my brother - by the end of the 4rd season I was in the 1st division and he'd won the FA Cup!
Question for more knowledgable players here - does any other modern football management game give you the same level of detail about sponsorship/stadium and all the rest of it? English league only, I know the german version of the game was improved over time. Currently doing well; finances balanced and doing very well in my 1st season in the second division, halfway through season 3! |

This was definitely the best football managing game, at his time. I used to edit the team players, using only Windows.

Worked for me! |
Hi everyone
I have been playing alot this game recently Dunno if anyone care anymore, but I will post some suggestions/tips/tricks I had found about this game. - I always put my youth slider on maximum. For only 5000£/month after 2 or 3 seasons I start getting absolutly great youth players (1st Div. skilled players). - Don't wait for the end of the season to renew contracts. This found to be one of the key features for finance healthy in a long run. Try to be always renewing contracts with the same wage the player already earn, it's hard, but is not impossible. - Renew with all your younger then 24 y.o. players. Try to put all players in 4 years contracts, in 2 years you will be in 1st Div with 3rd Div wages! Don't mind from going from 450£ to 700£/m in the beginning, it will pay off in the long term. - Don't care about what tactic I'm using, and I don't know if I score more ofter with a 3-4-3 or I suffer less goals with a 4-4-2, from the many season I have done I think is all the same. I only change tactics depeding on my best players, for example, you have 3 excelent forwards, and you have not that great defenders, I will not use a 4-4-2 tactic for sure, the 3 forwards need to play. I try to put in field all my best players. - Use one of the 3 default tactics. I never got a proof that if I done my own tactic I will win more. Keep in mind that if use one of the default tactics you will have sure that if one of your players got injured or sent off in a game, it will automatically be replaced by another player, something that will not happen if you use your own tactic. If you forgot to check it before every game sometimes you start the next game with 10 or 9 men in field!! - Get rid of your 30/31/32 years old players asap: Because they will retire and you will not get any money for them. - Get rid of your high wage earning players: Because they improve so much during seasons, that there will be some players when you try to renew their contracts they will go from a 3000£/m to 14000£/m !!! Imagine 3 players, it will be a 30000£/m more in your expenses. Will get you bankrupt in a long term... - Reduce your team. Firstly because you will not need so many players and some of them will never play, next because they will be getting paid for not playing, also because you can get alot of money with them, and last because some of them start to get old and you don't want them to retire! I think 14 or 15 players are enough, I even sell one of my keepers and remain with only one in the team. - Sponsors are very important, use them wiselly because they are one of the keys of income. Carefull about the sponsors ending contract before the end of the season or before the winter break, because you will continue paying wages in that time and you will not get any money coming in. So imagine you have 100k£ in sponsors but your shirt sponsor will end just before the winter break and will reduce your overall sponsor to 60k£/m, it means you will be 3 months with less 40k£/m from your shirt sponsor to help you deal with that break, 120k£ less. - Training Camps are very usefull and I think are the only way to really improve your players, but be carefull, if you use them to much your players will improve so much that will want to earn much more money monthly. And of course because they are expensive. Another thing I noticed is that my team perfomance change drastically when I start using them, and sometimes for the worst :( The players need stability... - Training one specific attribute. For example I tend to train much more fitness then skills, that could be good when I go to the transfer market and try to buy players with good skills but not that good fitness, I don't care because I will rise their fitness :) - Don't Improve your stadium. Ok, I have no big conclusions here, if with better facilities I attract more people to see my games. I used to improve my stadium alot but after spending alot in it I used to have all the same number os spectators... another thing, how bigger is your stadium the more expenses you will have. Of course that your renevue for a 12000 stadium will not be the same for a 30000 one... (will talk next) - Tickets revenue is very important because is your main (only?) source of money. So you need to change your ticket price wisely, The Idea is to have all the max spectators your stadium stands, but don't be too greedy or too generous in price tickets, you need to find the right balance depending of your opposite strenght and league position (more important) and of course, your own league position as well. Otherwise your will lose money that is vital for you team present and future (see next) - Finances should be handled carefully. You should get the best sponsors deals but don't wait to much for the perfect sponsor, because each day you will be losing money by not having them, and the best ticket prices, both are your big financial revenues. Every month you will have alot of expenses. So you need to start calculating things now, for example, you have 300k£ in expenses and 180k£ income every month, that means you will have to pay 120k£ every month, but if you play 2 games on your own field per month and in each you have 20000 spectators with 5£ of ticket prices you will earn 100k£ x 2 = 200k£ every month, less the 120k£ you are earning 80k£ monthly. Not bad, but you have to mind that there will be breaks, winter is 3 months, and summer 1 or 2, so for about 5 months you are only paying 120k£/m. And of corse, there will be months that you don't play 2 games at home, and others you can't reach the 100k£ in each game... - Avoid Bank Loans! they will bunkrupt you in a long term. Ok, sometimes I do them too, but only to get that player that is in the transfer market that I need, but is very very rarely. - Players Transfers / Loans when I was 12 y o and first started to play this game I used to ask "why the hell do I need loans for??". I never loaned anyone, just bought them. Now I use the loan very often, mainly for old (32,33,34yo) players that are in the market and are very skillfull. Or when I got alot of injuries and need players just for one season. Other thing, carefull with your accepting offers, sometimes there is alot of Trans.Fee and you will not recieve has much has you expected. Anyway there is alot of things that I need to find more information and conclusions. I still don't know the impact of exhaustion on the players, if there is any difference beteween the tactics, what F S really mean in the training and how to improve them. Even the amount of training and witch thing to train. I didn't found yet why I got great runs of form, where I win 4 or 5 game in a row, and suddenly start losing alot of games in a row as well. If anyone could translate the tips in this page (http://managerspiele.net/indexbmp.htm) would be great, I have tried with google translator, but I couldn't understand anything :( |

A Comprehensive Guide to BMP
Season 1:
1. Contracts: select the 13 best players and give them all 4-year contracts, sell the rest. This is very important, as their salaries will skyrocket when they need to be renewed. 2. Stadium: No need to improve it just yet. You can start increasing its capacity when you manage to have a full stadium with tickets costing $5. Adjust ticket price to have it as close to full as possible, but not totally full (the idea is to maximise profit via a combination of ticket price * spectators). 3. Sponsors: select the ones with higher value (3 years), their contracts will be cancelled when you get promoted and you'll be able to change to better ones. 4. Training: Keep intensity at a maximum. Focus on the sections of your team with a lower average strength. Keep the 'youth' meter as high as possible, this will give you free youth players at the end of the season. (Cheat: Save the game at the 'end of season'. If you don't get a youth player, reload the saved game and end the season again until you get a youth player ;) 5. Training camps: Train your team as much as possible, in the most expensive camps available or affordable. 6. Formation: Select the formation that gives your team a higher average strength (which you can see in the match schedule). 7. Loans: Never take loans, unless you need a very small amount to buy a player you absolutely must buy (see below how to choose which ones to buy). 8. Matches: Keep the 'struggle' level on green. Increase it to red only when you absolutely must score, closer to the end of the game. Keeping it high for too long will result in cards and injuries. By doing this you should win every season. From season 2 you can already win the FA cup, and from season 3 the European cup. Seasons 2, 3 and 4: 1. Contracts: From now on, when you see a cheap (max around $100k), young (up to 27yo) player for sale, buy him and give him a 4-year contract (salary should be below $1000). Do this with as many cheap young players as you see. Keep them as substitutes, their strength will improve over the years with training. This is the cheapest way to renew your roster over the years. On Season 4, when contracts are down to 1 year, hopefully some of your players will offer to renew their contract. Do it. 2. Stadium: Start enlarging it with seats, and cover the seats or imrprove the facilities, state and add lights and scoreboard when you have spare money. 3. Sponsors, training, traning camps, formation: Same strategy. Bonus tip: Whenever you need to sell a player whose contract is higher than 1 year, first renew his contract for a 1-year contract, than put him up for sale - this will significantly reduce the transfer fee. Season 5 1. Contracts: At this point, all of your original players' contracts will need to be renewed, and their salaries will skyrocket. If you've bought enough cheap young players, you should simply let the expensive ones go and use the newer ones. If you don't have enough good players, you can keep some of the expensive ones for a little while, or loan a reasonably strong player in the market. Your team's strength will tipically go down a bit when you renew the players, but it will improve again with training. Rinse, repeat. By doing this you should win every Season, FA Cup and Euro Cup till the end of time. :) |
