Hey, its been a while since I posted in here. How are y'all?
I've been playing lots of battle field 2. Is anyone else here into it? if so look for Harlinoff in on the field( probably commanding or flying a chopper. Anyways, peace out.(I'm playing this game so much I'm starting to get a blister on my wrist...no joke). |

Anyway my PC is too slow for the ever demanding BF2... |
I like CoD more.....Battlefield 2 is just not as I want it!!
|
Well, if you liked CoD, then you should think about maybe upgrading your computer. I spent roughly 400 bucks, =150 dollar ram and a 300 dollar video card, and a 150 dollar sound card...oh wait, i can see why you might not want to upgrade..heh. Seriously tho', this game is incredible. You can creat squads now, and there is also a commander option so that a player can assume that role, and make supply drops, artillery barages and even set up uav's(Un-manned Air Vehicle) so that you can observe an area for the enemy on your radar. you get points not just for killing but also for getting flag points, defending flags, fixing things, reviving fallen comrads as well as just healing them. The maps are so well laid out. I've never seen such tactical maps before. I'm blown away.

Yet I wish you a lot of strength in order to get rid of your addiction |

Hey did you play Wolf:ET, what are the main differences betweem hose two games (BF2)... |

from what I've seen of wolf:et, The main differences would be:
1)vehicles of all types, eg. tanks, airplanes, helicopters, jeeps, acp's, mobile anti-air are in bf2... 2)Medics can revive dead solders in bf2. 3)maps are complex and tactical(maybe in wolf too, i don't know). 4)bf2 simulates modern warfare as opposed to the ww2 era of wolf. 5)the point system in bf2 is complex, and even awards assist points. 6)squad based gameplay. In this game it is important to diversify your squad, and to really support each other. For instance, a well balanced squad(of 6 max) would have, 1 anti-tank(infantry support vs tanks),1 engineer(to lay mine fields and repair armor), 2 medics(to heal and revive team-mates,1 special opps(to take out targets and set up booby-traps with remote detinated explosives), and one support(to lay down covering fire and supply ammunition). Also, depending on the map you could substitute 1 medic or the special opps for a sniper, although they tend to work better on their own. 7) In tandum with the squad dynamic rests the commander position. If accepted by your army, you gain command of it, and observe the battle in a topdown view that is zoomable from which you steer the battle with artillery strikes and supply drops. You can also issue orders which will then be displayd to your squad leaders on their hud. examples of the orders available are, repair here. attack here. defend here. mine this location... I think this is one of the funnest games i have ever played. @redheadseb, Yeah I know, i was talking to tulac there sorry. You didn't like bf2? why? |
Uninstall it and give it to someone to borrow. That oughta get rid of your addiction.

if you wanna see it in action go to the officail website and check out the videos, also, for those interested, and in possetion of a half decent rig, there is a free demo so you can experience it...too bad cause i think the only option to get rid of my obsession would have been to get rid of the game entirely...oh well :P
|
I've played it a bit but I really prefered BF: Vietnam.
|
The Demo was fun ^_^
But I prefer CS over BF really ;) Didn't care for BF1942 too much BF2 is ok though... |
I really got sick of cs; I played it since it was in early development. The new steam engine made a definite impact, however it wasn't long before my lack of interest returned.
Is DoD(phun intended) out yet? Last I saw, it was available for pre-load. I may have to purchase it, but there is a problem for me. I got the bronze package, which just gives you halflife2 and counterstrike, whereas the silver and gold packages include some sort of extra merchandise, as well as DoD. Anyways, the biggest reason I stopped playing CS, was that there were to many people not even remotely open to the practice of teamwork, or strategy. This is also the main reason that I am drawn towards this "great" game 'BF2'. the game is intrinsicly woven within the fabric of teamwork. Towards another matter related to valve, have you glimpsed the latest pack of steam mods? |
