Well, you need a pass to get the game running and for that you need a manual wich dose not come with teh game(there is no readme file)

I need help getting into the game so I can actually play it.

Kiddiarni 10-07-2004 12:40 AM

I had it running without a code.. :?

Tom Henrik 10-07-2004 10:12 AM

Yes...

The game is cracked. All you have to do is to press enter. :?

Kiddiarni 10-07-2004 11:00 AM

but the sound doesnt work....Unless...I use DosBox

Correct?

Tom Henrik 10-07-2004 11:15 AM

Yes.
Atleast I think so. It's been a long time since I played the game, so I don't quite remember.

Hehe, I loved this game. Controllonig these little bugs whas hilarious, especially with the great sound and the beautifull graphics. As far as i remember it used an insanely high amount of high memory and it was always very difficult to run the game properly. I'm glad that this problem is absolete today :)

Battle Bugs is still one of the best capture the flag games i know.

:sniper: :Tom:

who is the publisher/devoloper/maker/wiener and what is their phone number ...a twelve year old time forgotten classic shouldent be shut down like this

ari 23-05-2006 10:02 PM

i am so upset that I ever lost this game. My only dream is that I find it again one day. The problem with these old games is that once you manage to find them it is impossible to get them working with a modern computer, you have to preserve both the computer and the game, and that's a tall order when you consider the size of those things.

laiocfar 23-05-2006 11:40 PM

Use dosbox and stop complaining

The Fifth Horseman 26-05-2006 02:17 PM

Exactly. Altough, having the need of "the real deal", I purchased components that allowed me to build a rough equivalent of my old DOS PC. Not as hard as you may think.

Are there any cheats for this game?

Is there an map editor?

Guest 22-12-2006 07:23 PM

 okay, maybe i don't get this, because my computer takes forever to build up these sites...

is it possible to download or get "battle bugs" here on this page somewere?
THAT would be :brain:

okay that was my first pc game and my nephew opened the discs and touched them so that it wasn't readable anymore... i'd LOVE to play it again...

can you help me find it? :w00t:

The Fifth Horseman 27-12-2006 10:10 AM

This game used to be downloadable here. Unfortunately, we were contacted by a representative of the copyright holder and requested to remove the download.

Therefore we cannot:
1. put it up for download on Abandonia
2. provide you with links to any source of download
3. send you the archive through e-mail
4. send it to you via any messenger programs

laiocfar 30-12-2006 01:12 AM

But we can aid you to purchase components that allow yourself to build a rough equivalent of an old DOS PC and denvelope by your own a similar kind of game, or we cant?

The Fifth Horseman 02-01-2007 01:11 PM

That's not what he was asking about. But yes, we can.

Mousazz 03-01-2007 09:01 AM

good game! except that if you start the game and play a little you get bored of child play. and if you still play, it gets to hard to play.

that's why i'm rating this three.

BranjoHello 13-05-2010 03:45 PM

Hilarious, such a charming title, I LOLed when I first heard bug general's "Good Morning" and Crapio watch. :OK:

You're wrong. The game is too easy, even at the last levels.
Anyway, I had all solved without much straining.

furrykef 24-07-2010 06:18 AM

I'm trying to run this but I'm getting only 16 colors, whether I use 800x600 or 640x480. I tried changing the video hardware that DosBox emulates (svga_s3, vesa_nolfb, etc.) to no avail. Any ideas? Or is this really just a 16-color game...?
