Mr.Snuggles 23-10-2005 10:11 PM

Whats the fastest you ever beaten a game?

I beat Resident Evil 4 in 3 days. 5 hours a day.

efthimios 23-10-2005 10:15 PM

I can beat Barbarian in less than 10 min.

TheGiantMidgit 23-10-2005 10:34 PM

RE4 - 9 hours. That's just doing the minimum though. 3rd run through, I could probably do better.

My best positive time for any decent game was Mario Land 6 Golden Coins in under an hour, or Zelda OoT in about 8 hours.

Blood-Pigggy 23-10-2005 11:54 PM

The Suffering - 3 hours.
I mean, it was the third time, but I wanted to get all the endings, so you know, :w00t: .

PrejudiceSucks 23-10-2005 11:55 PM

Deus Ex, realistic, 4 hours. All I can say is - thank you LAMs. *Climbs*

ReamusLQ 24-10-2005 12:27 AM

Chrono Trigger...10 minutes...

Of course, it was after I had already beaten it, so it was the "special endings"...but still!

dragonLancer 24-10-2005 01:54 AM

Original Kirby game for Gameboy... 8 min.

Me and my friend got really bored while we were camping and that was the only game he brought so we played it so much we mastered it even on the extreme difficulty wich took us more like 20 min. but still its pretty good ;)

Nikson 24-10-2005 02:17 AM

the original Super Mario Brothers, in about 15 minutes, with all the warp zones.

Borodin 24-10-2005 02:40 AM

KotoR was so easy that I beat the game before it loaded.

No, really.

Okay. Maybe not.

But it *was* incredibly unimaginative and easy to beat.

Timpsi 24-10-2005 05:04 AM

The Amstrad CPC version of Commando. Took me 10 goddamn years.

The truly fastest one was probably Broken Sword 2. Was done in one Saturday.

MdaG 24-10-2005 05:27 AM

Mega Man 2 on NES. Took me an evenening. First try and everything.

Nikson 24-10-2005 06:53 AM

Max Payne: 5 hours first try.
Max Payne 2: 7 hours first try.

If they weren't such awesome games, I'd be hating myself for spending the money on no more than two days of play each.

Games were harder in my youth

*sigh* It's not like it used to be *hehe*

I remember thinking that Megaman 2 was too easy. Compare it to Trojan, Gunsmoke, Castlevania, Megaman 1 etc. and you'll know how I felt.

troop18546 24-10-2005 03:18 PM

Contra in 13 min. Hehe, just kidding, took me about 3 days. I always play through everysinglef*cking place of the game, so it takes me a lot of time to get it done (but heck, I see the whole game).
The fastest I should say was Bad Boys 2 (a few hrs).
I also beat Harbinger in 4 days (walking through everything and with a million loads, because I had to see all of it at least 2 times, so it took me about 3 days).
Castlevania IV - a few days.
Lot of games were long too, for example: Arcanum - a whole month, but heh, it was the best game I ever played.
I have more than 10 games that I still need to finish, so I'm off.

Reup 24-10-2005 06:28 PM

Pfff... you're all amateurs ;)

Here's someone who beat Morrowind in 7 min 30 secs and some other rather fast stuff (like Mario in 5 mins something)...

Sebatianos 24-10-2005 06:56 PM

Well, I beat the computer in 3 minutes - playing Hexxagon... :bleh:

troop18546 24-10-2005 06:58 PM

I forgot to mention, my personal best in minesweeper is 0:00 secs. :bleh:

Reup 24-10-2005 07:05 PM

Ay caramba, I thought my 6 secs was pretty fast...

TaloN 24-10-2005 07:45 PM

minesweeper 4 seconds.

omgwtfbbq!1! :w00t:

Mr.Snuggles 25-10-2005 02:26 AM

Lets not talk about games that came with your computer. Like for example, MineSweeper. I mean come on, i can beat it in 4 secs. (Well...on easy) Lets talk about GAMES...not games that came with your PC meaning that it was already installed when you installed your OS. (Games that you downloaded or used a CD to play! Talk about them! ARGH!!!! Shut up SNUGGLES!) :ranting:

ReamusLQ 25-10-2005 04:49 AM

WHy so negative? I used to be a total Mine Sweeper geek. Here are my scores.

Beginner: 4 seconds

Intermediate: 32 Seconds

Expert: 57 seconds

Nikson 25-10-2005 04:59 AM

Expert 57? holy crap
I was proud of my 19 minutes :(

PrejudiceSucks 25-10-2005 08:10 AM

The Fallout 2 in 12 minutes thing is pretty impressive too, actually. I wouldn't want to skip it all though.

A. J. Raffles 25-10-2005 11:14 AM

Daughter of Serpents: 10 minutes when I first played it, and I was extremely disappointed. Maybe I did something wrong...

12 minutes ? :w00t: I still can't find Vault 13.

My fastest time was in Unreal Tournament when I managed in 4 hours to beat Xen and the other people/aliens...

PrejudiceSucks 25-10-2005 11:43 AM

UT's campaign is a piece of piss though. Xan is good at Godlike, but he's a bit easy otherwise.

its using the bomb bug exploit though, still funny assed though.

ok errr.... i completed warhammer : dark omen in 5 hours of solid play once. my troops were on fire.

PrejudiceSucks 25-10-2005 11:48 AM

Wow... that game's usually pretty hard. I suppose that if you picked the right missions and ranked your troops up it'd be possible but still... they'd have to do pretty bloody well and you'd have to be VERY careful.

Petter1979 25-10-2005 01:19 PM

6 seconds...

The game Winmine, that comes with win XP :)

PrejudiceSucks 25-10-2005 01:23 PM

LOL Fair enough.

The Fifth Horseman 25-10-2005 01:25 PM

Another World: lost the actual data, but it was a couple seconds above 15 minutes (lots of training)
Bloodrayne: 1hr 13min 6 sec to reach the final level (didn't code a Total Play Time mod back then, so I couldn't measure the actual completion time), with NO save/load and NO dying. My first try at this was nearly succesful... the game crashed after I've beaten one of the two final bosses. Took me a couple of months to manage this again.

ReamusLQ 25-10-2005 02:03 PM

all of Starcraft Broodwar in under six hours

PrejudiceSucks 25-10-2005 02:06 PM

Horseman, you should send your time into SpeedDemos, I think that it's better than the one they've got!

Office_Monk 26-10-2005 12:36 PM

WWF WrestleMania The Arcade Game (PC) in 21 minutes with Bret "the Hitman" Hart

Been there, talked to them. Problem is I cannot record my game, because the computer starts to lag HORRIBLY when I try, making the game unplayable.

Blood-Pigggy 26-10-2005 02:46 PM

I cry for you.
It happens the same when I try to record my Doom 3 or Half Life 2 games.

STFM 03-11-2005 05:42 AM

"Shackled" on ST - 12 seconds. Secret door to your right at the very start, go through it and the game ends. Super Lame. Didnt even know what I was doing, spent $30 on that game too!

knails 03-11-2005 08:12 PM

halo on legendary 7 hours

halo2 on legendary 8 hours
(both on co-op)

rachet and clank 13 hours

warhammer dawn of war 18 hours

i rock :ok:

Kearnsy 04-11-2005 12:26 PM

Resident Evil 1 (Remake for GCN) 2h 38mins - on normal!!!!!

DOW - about 24 hours I'd say. (To fast for me knails!!!)

efthimios 04-11-2005 12:44 PM

I remembered another one.
Not sure about the exact amount but,
between 6-12 hours for both campaigns on medium and hard, eh Red Alert 2 that is.
I needed to finish it soon to write a review of a magazine. That was the last time I agreed to do a review on such a short notice. In general I do not like finishing a game as soon as possble. lke to take my tme and enjoy the game or else, what is the point. Also the i key is not workng 100% of the tme for some reason.

knails 06-11-2005 04:27 PM

kearnsy it was second time through so i new what to do and where to go so not as great as it sounds

it was a race between me and my friend and he won!!!

WolverineDK 06-11-2005 06:05 PM

Well, if you have problems recording the videos you could always, buy a webcam and record from there (Labtech makes smashing great webcams) and they are quite cheap.

Nick 14-11-2005 09:05 AM

Completed Fallout I in 5 or 6 hours.

Oberon 14-11-2005 09:55 AM

Resident Evil 4: easy - normal 2 h - hard 2: 30 min.
Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time: 5 h
Tyrian 2k: 20 - 30 min.

moogle 14-11-2005 11:08 PM

Star Wars Jedi Outcast, about 5 mins, ph34r my 1337 mapwarp and god mode!
