You guys have been able to help me before, and I sure as heck hope you can help me now. My stupid printer won't print in anything but blue...everything! Blue blue blue blue blue! Just in different shades. This is what I have tried

Cleaning the nozzles
Running diagnostics
Updating the drivers
Uninstalling reinstalling the drivers
replaced cartridges
made sure the setting were all on default

Nothing works! Any help? Has anyone had this problem before? I'm going crazy!

try cleaning the head with some hot water or some alcohol (I think)

I apologize, I'm normally pretty good about that rule. I was just in a hurry to post the topic and clicked on the first forum that started with a "T"

Data, when you say heads, do you mean the nozzles the ink comes out of?

That's a strange problem... it sounds more like a software problem or a problem on the firmware on your printer.

It occours printing from every program or just from a specific one?

for me it sound more like hardware problem, not software he already wrote that he tried to reinstall stuff etc
all in all there is section in printer driverz (control pannel i mean)- print test page (or something like that, you know i have slovakian windows=))
but i think it will be hardware problem!

My problem with a Lexmark Z25 printer was the same, but it printed only in red. The color cartridge was f*cked up and in result - colors going crazy. That would be my guess, ReamusLQ.

no progress yet. Any other advice?

LOL

I'm almost resorting to that...

Any solutions that DOESN'T require me to buy a new printer :ok:

Probably there are no good solution (I mean, no economically good solution) to keep your printer if it's not a software problem... well, apart from making only blue documents...

Well, I would say the problem is at the color cartridge, but since you said you had replaced it, that's out of question - unless the "new" cartridge is damaged too.

pay attention to the "interface" of the cartridge with the printer, there might be some dirt interfering with the comunication between the cartridge head nozzles and the printer (sorry, my English is a little bit limited, I can't explain it better)

Otherwise, sorry to tell you this, but your printer is "dead" - at least for other colors that are not "blue"

The problem really should be with the cartridge. I think you have to replace all the cartriged. Clean a lot and the get a TEST PRINT. Check if all the colours come. If they don't do more clean. Or else it should be something do with the place where you put the cartriges for the printer to not read it. Loose or something. I had the same problem.Hope that helps

ReamusLQ 18-01-2006 02:31 PM

Test page prints one single diagonal blue line :bleh:

_r.u.s.s. 18-01-2006 04:27 PM
