Twinsens Odyssey (aka Little Big Adventure 2) [GoG]

This is the only game I've been really looking for for the last 2 years and it is the only game nobody seams to have - my friends to give, abandonware sites to download from or shops to sell :ranting: , so if you could please either put it for download or somebody tell me where I can get it. Btw, I'm from Croatia :kosta: . Thank you!

FreeFreddy 19-12-2004 04:03 PM

Hmm, wasn't there a talk earlier about adding the second part to the first one on our site already?.. http://www.abandonia.com/forum/uploa...1103202947.gif

wormpaul 19-12-2004 04:24 PM

Yes..

but that was 2 months ago :ok:

But for the game: It's a true classic one

Tom Henrik 19-12-2004 05:30 PM

Little Big Adventure 2 is still sold.

CDAccess
Price: 19.95$

But you know, just as well as I, that LBA2 is well worth the price to pay! The game ROCKS! :w00t:

wormpaul 19-12-2004 05:54 PM

Indeed...

Specially the great HUMOR in the game :bleh:

Yeah, it is great that the game is still being sold, but not in any store in Zagreb, Croatia :sniper: , otherwise I would've already bought it. If anyone knows different I would be very thankfull for the information. Thank you again :kosta:

FreeFreddy 20-12-2004 12:56 PM

Why not buying it from that CDaccess online? They surely would ship it to Croatia, wouldn't they?

I think that 20$ + tax is too much for game in ex-YU country.

My friend had CD but don't know if he still does. I can ask him to upload the whole CD if you want.

why upload a not-abandonware thing.
Why even mention it.

First of all, do you think they will put up Twinsen's Odyssey 2 on this site at some point? It's such an amazing game.

Secondly: I've downloaded it from the underdogs, and I'm having trouble starting it that I thought you good people could help me with. Everything is fine, it starts great, sound is good, except the picture is divided up into stripes, so I can't see what I'm doing. Is there a method to fix this problem? I'm dying to play this game I loved so much.

a1s 15-04-2005 10:54 PM

did you try DOSBox?
I remember using some old vesa driver i had, but my problem was not having any picture (just text left from dos). At least I think that was what i did in the end...

bellebelle 15-04-2005 11:02 PM

Well, it doesn't open at all in dosbox. It says, "Stub exec failed: dos4gw.exe o such file or directory." I don't know what a vesa driver is, but I downloaded one and put it in the folder and it didn't work. In windows, it opens except the picture is messed up and so it's unplayable. :(

What am I to do?

a1s 15-04-2005 11:09 PM

HOTU, eh? I will go and download it, like i said it was a relly long time since I had to solve this problem.

P.S. on the record: LBA2 rulez! we should get it if we can!!!!

bellebelle 15-04-2005 11:12 PM

oh thank you! Hooray, please report back when you have figured it out.

a1s 15-04-2005 11:22 PM

err... wait did you mean "Little Big Adventure"? or actualy "twinsens odisey" (LBA2)?

bellebelle 15-04-2005 11:35 PM

Oh I meant twinsen's odyssey.

btw, I've got it working now, amazingly, through dosbox.

Only, now it says it won't work without a CD!!

Now what!

a1s 16-04-2005 12:03 AM

no you didn't! as a win95 game TO would not run in DOSBox.

bellebelle 16-04-2005 12:25 AM

i did though.

a1s 16-04-2005 12:27 AM

allright, I'll get that one too, allthough with my conection it's going to take a while...

bellebelle 17-04-2005 01:34 AM

Hello A1s,

Did you figure out the Twinsen's Odyssey Mystery Saga?! Dying to know, as I still haven't managed to get it to work. Is there any way to trick it into thinking it's actually working of a CD?

Helena

:happybday:

p.s. it's my b-day, woop!

red_avatar 17-04-2005 01:57 AM

Hmm I couldn't get it to work either but my original CD version works fine! The game is a bit jerky outside where everything is 3D but fine inside.

a1s 17-04-2005 12:31 PM

there's a patch here that solves it, thanx again tom.
go here
P.S. will someone (with administrative privileges) file this under troubleshooting, please?

bellebelle 17-04-2005 02:04 PM

Thank you, wow. I really, really love this site. You guys are amazing. You should be earning lots of cash for your work!

*Twinsen's Odyssey (aka Relentless 2 (aka Little Big Adventure 2))

I loved this game when I was a kid. I've searched many places and never seen it mentioned, only the first game it is a sequel to (I assume it is a sequel)
There were aliens and cars and a blowdart gun and a little ball you throw and a jetpack and.... It was just a really amazing game, and I'd love to play it again.

Frodo 05-02-2006 03:35 AM

I also remember this game, and it was a lot of fun. LOL

It's also known as Little Big Adventure 2, and you can get it from The Underdogs -

:D

Yobor 05-02-2006 01:01 PM

w00t!
Many thanks unto you, my furry-footed friend. If only HOTU had as good quality as Abandonia...

pkfray 05-02-2006 05:57 PM

Download it via Bittorrent or E-mule... I have the CD right next to me!

Yobor 05-02-2006 06:39 PM

It took me over an hour, but I downloaded it and transferred it to my 98' computer. Many thanks unto Frodo!
